I feel like the CEO didn’t really address to the questions too (and yes the interviewer interrupted him a bit). But I’m not surprised that they don’t focus much in Malaysia now
The show is called The Breakfast Grille for a reason. So its up to both of them to meanuever the interview to come out with the best impact for viewers.
Shou Ning trying hard to interview. Not fan of interruption before Dato finish answering blast another question. Well Dato’ Omar handled her questions very well. Btw I’m HSBC Premier for decades and some other banks. I like HSBC. Tailor to my needs very well.
Totally agree. We listeners would like to listen to the entirety of his answers. Yes we understand this a grill kinda interview but it does come off rather rude to be interrupting every single time he gives an answer.
The CEO is dodging & not even answering the questions properly, can't even provide estimate numbers & figures when being questioned. The host / presenter is impolite as well but maybe because the the CEO can't even answer her questions? No wonder HSBC is not as competitive as other banks as reported.
This girl who berlagak pandai is very annoying, always cut people’s point when discussing, noticed this even from previous iv and im not gonna sit thru watching this. Im sorry to go personal but i pity her husband and kids if any needing to tolerate this behavior.
Your comment Shows your mentality. Expecting a wife to be submissive. Hahaha. She is interviewing a person who is not answering the questions. This is a grille to get the fact out.
Just one thing, HSBC please participate in e-confirm by Extol and Thomson Reuters. It will be easier using online rather than courier those audit confirmations. Thanks
Is the interviewer being impatient or rushing to close the interview within a specific timeframe? In my view, it seems she's so focused and sprinting through her script. I get it's about grilling the interviewee, but I feel it's proper communication etiquette to allow a guest to finish their sentence as well. After all, the guest did make time to come on air.
CEO not answering the questions and not being upfront on strategies, plans and executions. For God sake, you are not a politician and you are running a bank.
You should understand hsbc history from the time hk become british colony. Then only u will understand how market is totally irrelevant to their mission
One of the worst hosts I have ever seen in my life. Yes, you are doing your job and KPI, but do not neglect your audience's viewing and listening pleasure. You cut out many pieces throughout the interview. Way to go. Dato's Omar is one of the shrewd CEO I ever encountered before.
I work in the sector and there's a lot of SN types in the industry in Malaysia, they did well in school, studies, got into the job and never were disciplined and challenged, they were continuously told growing up and in the workplace where people generally are kind, that they are so good hardworking smart etc that they develop a heightened sense of entitled self indulgence and start to believe they're never, ever, ever, wrong.
She isn't wrong tho. It's pressing slightly. Dato' also talked generalized fluff with not so much specifics. Very PR trained and self advertising answers. Good for marketing but not equity.
Let the man finish his sentence, my god
That is marketing

Why this host is still here ? Despite having so many complaints about her interview approach from the older interviews
the program is called "breakfirst grill".. to me BFM is on the 'right approach'.

I am not sure if he got this job because of his capability or his influence
interesting perspective
There’s literally no number coming out of his mouth 😂
