Yeah, that's pretty good. Although I'm also glad that they made her a follower type - actually, i hope she becomes the next thunderclan leader because of it. Being a leader that has a hard time giving out orders when challenged and constantly second-guessing her decisions, while also looking for a more experienced cat to follow would be pretty interesting for her. Honestly I'm just wanting bramblestar dead and never coming back. The impostor has made plenty of bad decisions so far, and making a cat unsuitable to lead deputy would be a cherry on top. Plus a not-great leader that isn't just evil could prove a breath of fresh air. Ooof that was a mouthful, sorry :P Tl;DR is that i want Bristlefrost to be a dysfunctional leader in the future, mostly for flavor. Don't have to agree or disagree, just wanted to say my words on the matter and unfortunately this comment was my way of doing it.
I actually think that’s what happened due to the mint stench. Mint is an herb they use on dead bodies to keep away their rotting stench and AntFur was the most recent death and therefore the only body that would still have the scent so most likely, Antfurs body was dug up and possessed

Dapplewing of AspenClan I have a theory about that. If a cat fades, it doesn’t necessarily vanish. It’s spirit could still be lurking around, but with no physical form. And that would make it possible for the angry spirit to regain form, but through another cat’s body.
Lots of people hate Bramblestar but the poor guy can't catch a break - he's the son of the worst, most notorious villain in the series who he looks just like and even when Tigerstar dies he forever has this shadow hanging over him; He later gets chosen to find a new home for the clans as their old home is being destroyed and during this journey his friend/ ally dies and he's still not totally trusted even after this journey but then he finds his long lost brother who also looks remarkably like Tigerstar and the two really start to bond BUT WHOOPS that brother is evil! Gotta kill him or he'll kill your clan leader, previous mentor and actual father figure ... so he does. Things finally start looking up for Bramble when he's named the clan deputy, has a loving mate in Squirrelflight and they have 3 kits EXCEPT NOPE THEY'RE NOT HIS! OH, ALSO IT'S TIME TO FIGHT IN SOME KIND OF AFTERLIFE CAT WAR ... aaaand your clan leader/ ex-mentor/ father figure actually dies this time as well as your adoptive daughter whom you love and raised as your own - TIME TO BE A LEADER, I GUESS! Except NOPE! You get green cough, lose a life and some asshole has taken over your body OH JOY!

I'm personally hoping that the Dark Forest is involved in Ashfur's plot, too. They mention in Squirrelflight's Hope how the Dark Forest is being overgrown by vines, and that the cats of StarClan don't know where evil cats go when they die anymore. I would love it if Ashfur was working with the Dark Forest to destroy StarClan and the Clans from the inside. Plus, this would give the Erins' a chance to bring Maggottail back, that evil Dark Forest cat who showed up for literally one line in the The Forgotten Warrior and then was never seen again, but was described as being "the oldest" of the Dark Forest cats. He could be a sort of Emperor Palpatine character, now that Tigerstar is dead. Either way, having Ashfur team up with the Dark Forest to create his ghost army would certainly make things more interesting! After all, with the Dark Forest overgrown, who knows what happened to Darktail and his Kin? ;)
Good theories, however there is one thing I think you missed. Look at the cats Ashfur is coming up against. Not only are they respectable, well known warriors. Ashfur wants revenge. His main goal when he was alive was to hurt Squirrelflight. If Leafpool survived she would no doubt be exiled as well. He took over Bramblestar, Squirrelflights mate. Dovewing- one of the three, leverage on Tigerstar. Crowfeather-Leafpools once mate. Father to the three kits who hurt him even more. Lionblaze, Jayfeather -Squirrelflights kits, pretty explanatory. Mothwing-Leafpools friend as well as Jayfeather. Then we reach Sparkpelt. Squirrelflights actual kit, hurting her would hurt Alderheart in the process. All these cats are related to Squirrelflight or Firestar. The only one you can't explain as much is Twigbranch. But she is the kit Alderheart rescued and he cares about her well-being. I think this is why Tree was cut out. He is farther away from squirrelflight and the group of kin. But he would also be seen as a threat if Ashfur does have ghosts on his side. I think the ones who save the clans and Bramblestar will be those who die when starclan is blocked. They can fight Ashfurs team and maybe find a way to reestablish the connection of Starclan and the clans. Ta-da
Agreed. I think these cats were all chosen because of their personal connections to Leafpool and Squirrelflight. Twigbranch is the odd-one-out, for sure, but I think it does have to do with Alderheart. Tree was probably listed originally because of Violetshine, or because he poses a threat with his ability to see ghosts.

The thing about Shadowsight kinda reminded me of Thorn in the second Bravelands book. Everyone expected him to die, but he survived. I have a feeling Shadowsight will survive too. And I don't think it's Hawkheart. I really like him and in Tallstar's Revenge he seemed very satisfied and happy with his life as a medicine cats.
Sascha King of Rainbows exactly! Hawkheart got so much more development in yellowfangs secret and tallstar’s revenge that it almost made him quite likable. Making hawkheart a villain would ruin him as a character for me honestly -.-

What if the reason the Ashfur Gang(tm) hasn’t tried to infiltrate Skyclan is actually BECAUSE of Tree and now Rootpaw? Since those two can actually see and talk to spirits they might pose a massive risk to whatever plan these cats are cooking up. I feel like this will definitely put Rootpaw and his family at risk for future books as the threat grows, but I also might be crucial in helping to save the clans in the long run. I never thought of it being Ashfur. I thought it could’ve been cats from the dark forest who wanted leadership but didn’t get it, or rouges like darktail.
I do agree with you but remember how Shadowsight said that all his visions weren’t from Starclan? Maybe or what if the tribe of endless hunting has their own kind of dark forest and since the power of three origins there along with the rest of the clans they are trying to get revenged when the clans saved the real tribe of rushing water all those moons ago in the mountains against that other group of cats. I know this is probably really stupid now that I’m thinking about it but it’s still another theory 😁

And honestly, the tribe of rushing water is so far removed from the books right now that i wouldn't be surprised if they're completely forgotten down the line. I think that the cats from the vision were “codebreakers” because they were linked to Squirrelflight or Leafpool. Like Jayfeather and Lionblaze are Leafpool’s kit, and Mothwing is Leafpool’s (close?) friend, and Crowfeather is Leafpool’s mate. Dovewing is related to them. And SkyClan was left out since Squirrelflight and Leafpool don’t really have anything related to them Besides the Squirrelflight’s Hope thing
Know what might be neat? Some character from long ago shows up, and is at first part of the evil StarClan rebels but when they possess someone they turn to the good side for one reason or another- maybe because they wanted a second chance, but realize just how messed up the whole thing is.
*Edit; A bit of a theory* If Dovewing and big parents in the series were possessed then I'd expect the hints to be more like the Melissa Chapman scenerio from Animorphs. If you're not familiar with that series, basically it's sci-fi but the aliens are mind controlling parasitic slugs called Yeerks, and the only people fighting back are six kids with animal morphing powers. Anyways, the Yeerks had gotten control of Melissa's parents. The Yeerks, being able to read the minds of their host, knew exactly how to act like Mr. and Mrs. Chapman. But they couldn't recreate that motherly or fatherly love. They couldn't put the same time and care into their hosts' daughter. So that's exactly what I expect to happen if any big parents in the series end up possessed; the kids would be the first ones to realise. That could also be the reason the Erins made a bunch of the "code-breakers" have kits.

Okay here’s my theory that I have put together through my and others ideas. I’m on board with Ashfur as the imposter so I’m not gonna go through that what I’m gonna share is my theory for ShadowSight’s attacker. So first off the mint stench that was mentioned. Mint is what the medicine cat put on dead bodies basically. So HawkHeart’s mint smell would have gone by now. But who was the most recent death, and close enough to be able to attack ShadowSight. Ding ding ding AntFur. Yeah yeah I know it can’t me AntFur AntFur but what if, like BrambleStar, someone took over his body. Now there could be many many cats that took over antfur’s body and I’d like to hear your ideas.
Akira I think that Bumblestripe and Berrynose have already been possessed. Berrynose was always a bit of a jerk, but Bumblestripe was never specifically mean to anyone. He was a kind cat. Even Berrynose wouldn’t go as far as helping the impostor be cruel like that.
I have an idea of how should be the final battle since the rabies theory I know now that is not rabies what made Bramblestar act strange but imagine if Ashfur and his allies discovered the rabies in some way and tried to spread this sickness so that they can kill them without attacking them and so no one notices their plans Ok now... So the final battle The clan territories had some kind of zombie attack (rabies) a stupid human in the forest saw them, got scared and started a fire Bramblestar's plans where exposed some way, the fire takes over the territory and the fire scene of Ashfur repeats Now the epic way it had to be The ground is on fire, cats escape into the trees while the fire ir rising up Bramblestar is chasing after Shadowsight, Bristlefrost and Rootspring, since they are the ones that frustrate his plan To make it more emotional, Alderheart or Sparkpelt are with the 3 (or even both) being chased too Bramblestar jumps into a branch but almost falls into the fire Shadow, Bristle, Root and Alder or Spark are terrified by Bramble, he has completly lost his mind and tries to kill them even when he almost falls Then he sees his sons, standing in the branch terrified of him (Bramblestar recovered his body but Ashfur still has him under control) But he manages to talk by himself and Ashfur can't gain control again his voice is heard screaming "Attack them!" but Bramblestar (almost back to normal) apologizes to the trio and his sons And then he releases his claws from the branch and falls into the fire Inmediatly a flying monster (helicopter or plane) drops water from the sky and the fire dies And so that could be what i consider a perfect ending for the last book of The Broken Code

Okay, this is crazy and even I don't believe in this theory: The scent of MINT, like a HAWK. mintkit, snowkit. kits who died young are somehow becoming old enough to attack, and are helping Ashfur, he had two littermates, elderkit and tulipkit who I'm sure woud give him info on the exiled cats, they want to live full lives. mintkit, marigoldkit, hopekit and wishkit are somehow willing to kill shadowclan cats. Mintkit and Snowkit have teamed up against Shadowsight in a shared temporary body ( most likely Antfur, his body would not be good for permenant use as it was buried for a while). So the theory is just that kits are taking over.
At first I thought the figure who attacked Shadowsight was a dark forest cat who survived the battle in omen of the stars, but when you talked about Antfur and shadow clan’s bad luck it seems more reasonable that if this figure is some kind of spirit it could have possessed the dead warriors body. Besides didn’t you say that some dark forest individuals survived after the battle?
Solid theory, kinda hope this turns out to be true just because it would make for a pretty interesting story. Specifically the "ghost-army" stuff. Keep up the good work :)
I reckon Bramblestar is being possessed by Tigerstar I. Tigerstar I is also talking to Shadowsight. First off, the voice Shadowsight talks to is a disembodied voice coming from darkness. Not the sunny meadows of StarClan, nor the fungus-ridden forest of the Place of No Stars. Just...darkness. Now, according to the Ultimate Guide, when Tigerstar I's spirit was killed, he was sent to 'a place darker than any warrior's dreams'. So the setting of just complete darkness would fit that. Tigerstar I is also no longer in a position where he is able to gain power (his main goal in life and afterlife), so he may very well be trying to destroy the Clans that rejected him, which he is doing by possessing Bramblestar, which we'll get onto later. The voice also told Shadowsight to put Bramblestar on the moor to heal him. This killed him, leaving his body free for possession. And, let's be honest, who else would want Bramblestar's body other than Ashfur (who is likely cut off from the living world like the rest of StarClan). The voice also told Shadowsight about the codebreakers. Who did Tigerstar I hate? Codebreakers. Now, onto Possessed Bramblestar. Possessed Bramblestar was very controlling over Squirrelflight. Perhaps this is because she's Firestar's daughter, and he wants to keep her in check. Possessed Bramblestar also exiled Lionblaze for accidentally crossing the WindClan border. When Spotfur did the same, she was just isolated within the Clans. This could very well be because Lionblaze is half-Clan, and if you'd remember what Tigerstar I did to the half-Clan cats in TPB, (tried to kill them all), this sounds just like something Tigerstar I would do. Possessed Bramblestar also seems to have something against codebreakers. If we remember, Tigerstar I's father Pinestar left the Clans to become a kittypet, which was breaking the code. Tigerstar I was also narcissistic and self-centred, which would explain his making everyone else wait for him to eat before eating. Also, when Sparkpelt was sent to the abandoned Twolegplace, dogs were there. They'd been lured there with fresh-kill. Possibly for days. Let's remember poor Brightheart and Swiftpaw. They'd been maimed and killed by the dogs led there by Tigerstar I. Coincidence? I think not. I read the book and I agree with you that Ashfur is Bramblestar. “Bramblestar” banished Squirrelflight though.... I love Bristlefrost she is a lot like Ivypool (Ivypool is my favorite cat)
Me and my friend thinks it’s hawkfrost even though he’s faded, Hawkfrost has a relationship with almost everyone he names in the code breakers. Also Hawkfrost and Squirelflight did fight, it would explain him not knowing the camp nor not remembering names, or events. Ashfur knows who the cats are and the camp (excluding new cats) so why is he doing this if it’s ashfur? It’s something you over looked. Also with your theory of all clan leaders getting possessed includes mapleshade which is also faded (or dead twice) so taking that into account it’s not too far fetched.
5:20 remember, if kittypets or loners or rogues or something dies, they wander around. like trees ghost he sees. maybe they are helping out whoever is behind this? (maybe ashfur) like what happened to scourge when he died? he isnt in a clan, so he wouldn't go to dark forest... right? so where does he go? anywhere? nowhere? is he forced to wander alone like bramblestar (the true one)? could ashfur contact him somehow? and most importantly, can someone see him? because if someone can, maybe that person is in on it. there may be living as well as dead cats in on this plot!
I think it was Puddleshine, if you listen to what Spiresight said about him, and then you go back and see how Puddleshine acts when Sgadowsight says that his messages are not from StarClan bit from something evil. Puddleshine wanted to keep him quite, thats just one example.
Yester it occured to me that Greystripe was a cat who was an offfical codebreaker but was ommited from Bramblefake's list. It's worth mentioning that Cloudtail was excluded as well!
I’m not that far into the series yet but I believe it’s either ashfur or maple shade, please do not freak out XD but my friend already read those books and she said during the battle against the dark forest, maple shade ran off from the fight, I don’t know the is for sure what happened but once I get further into the series I will peice this together!
The trail of prey and the dogs attacking Sparkpelt really gets me. Tigerstar used Brindleface dead body and I cant imagine that Ash would recreate that. I think it might be another Starclan/Dark forest cat. Besides Bristlefrost heard another cats voice come out of Bstars body. Squirrel have recognized it as Ashfurs.
I would love to see Hawkheart in Antfur’s body as an evil medicine cat. One of the writers said he went to the Dark Forest when he died. I also hope Darktail’s ghost is part of Ashfur’s team because I love him and I don’t want him to go away yet.
Ashfur, or whoever the ghost cat is, could've frozen over the pool they use in starclan, cutting of the connection. Or, if the moonpool and that pool are connected, froze one pool and the other froze over as well.
You know "...dropping on him like a hawk." Could also refer to a ghost cat from Star Clan attacking Shadowsight from above as in jumping down from Star Clan to attack him
It's not Ashfur. There is some clues that don't make any sense. Like for instance, Jayfeather points out that the imposter doesn't act like a warrior. He spends a lot of time in his den. Also Bristlefrost hears a voice that doesn't sound like Bramblestar. Also he doesn't know who The sisters are and Ashfur would, since he was in StarClan. I think whoever it is may be a Dark forest cat or a kit/paw that never got to live?
I think there's just too many pieces of evidence that it is Ashfur. Ashfur wouldn't know the sisters, he wasn't alive at that time and StarClan cats don't watch every little second of what the cats do as we saw is Squirrelflight's Hope. The thing about the voice, Bristlefrost doesn't know what Ashfur sounded like and so she didn't recognise it. I'm not sure about the den thing though, you have a point there. - But going to Moonkittis video, the voice in Shadowsight's head gave him visions if fire relating to the fire scene, and in the vision ashes start falling from the sky and landing on Shadowsight's pekt which literally gives him ash fur. As I read TST this one line stuck out to me. Bristlefrost used a similie that said "Like a cat who's mate rejected her" like Ashfur being rejected by Squirrelflight OR Squirrelflight being rejected by Bramblestar in the 3-4th arcs.
I don't know, it feels too easy for it to be Ashfur. He was there when Squirrelflight was talking about The Sisters. My original thought was: What if its a StarClan cat who convinced the kit/paws who died to join him going to the forest and breaking StarClan. For instance Squirrelflight's daughter and son died, Juniperkit and Dandelionkit. They wanted their mom to stay in StarClan with them. I'm thinking that the StarClan cat got them to come with him to the forest, like Squirrelflight did, which is why StarClan can't contact anyone.. So it would be something we wouldn't expect, we would never think that a kit could be evil. I think the imposter is acting almost like a kit. They want to be with Squirrelflight all the time, they don't act like a warrior and they would know about the code since (when they died) They would be able to use it to their advantage. Also they would be powerful since they are StarClan cats now. The Imposter seems to act as if they are a jealous child to me. I don't think the imposter is working alone either. I think they may be working with the ones he brought with him and they are body snatching. And whoever they are, are disguising their scent with mint. I only say this, because cats in the past have done such things to hide themselves. Also cause the imposter kept leaving the camp and going to the dirtplace.
Did anyone notice how everyone said that Tigerheartstar was too young to remember the Great Battle? He trained in the Dark Forest, so I'm pretty sure he's old enough. Unless someone went back in time and moved his birth up by a few years
6:18. On the official warrior's wiki's "Medicine" page (warriors.fandom.com/wiki/Medicine#Mint), Mint is used to "Hide the scent of death." I have yet to read the new books- but did Shadowsight get attacked after Ant's death? Because if Ant was possessed- and he did somehow come out of his grave, than the invader would obviously want to hide the stench of death.
In arc 5, Tigerhearts super edition. There are three of them, and the father is Tigerheart, now Tigerheartstar. Two background girls, and a son, Shadowsight who is a medicine cat and one of the protags. Ivypool also had kits btw, one of them is another protag, Bristlefrost.
I think the Erin's may be hinting at one cat, but it's a completely different one. What if the cat possessing Bramblestar is Mudclaw or Spikefur? Adhfur seemed to have come to forgive Squirrelflight and Hollyleaf in Squirrelflight's Hope (or he could have been plotting, idk). Spikefur turned evil and cane to hate the Clans while Mudclaw would actually get to be leader like he wanted. He could be anyone really, the hints could just be the way they decided to write or fake hints meant to make the big reveal even more surprising. We won't know until the time comes.
I agree with you, he could have just taken over Bramblestar’s body because he wanted to be SquirrelFlight mate, and get away with being evil, and I like how you added cats that could work alongside Ashfur, I think Ashfur choice the three, (Jay, Lion) is because of what SquirrelFlight did, adopt them from Leafpool and say their her kits. I think that the first Warrior's series that we don't know who's the main villain after his first apparition as a villain. That's why, I think, Warriors is so open to theory...

Tbh I thought darktail came back because in one point in the book it says that, an so DO NOT quote, 'Bramblestar' was making them act like Darktails Kin but then I thought that they wouldn't make two arcs in a row abt the same thing (kinda)

Being a leader that has a hard time giving out orders when challenged and constantly second-guessing her decisions, while also looking for a more experienced cat to follow would be pretty interesting for her. Honestly I'm just wanting bramblestar dead and never coming back. The impostor has made plenty of bad decisions so far, and making a cat unsuitable to lead deputy would be a cherry on top. Plus a not-great leader that isn't just evil could prove a breath of fresh air.

If a cat fades, it doesn’t necessarily vanish. It’s spirit could still be lurking around, but with no physical form. And that would make it possible for the angry spirit to regain form, but through another cat’s body.

Lots of people hate Bramblestar but the poor guy can't catch a break - he's the son of the worst, most notorious villain in the series who he looks just like and even when Tigerstar dies he forever has this shadow hanging over him; He later gets chosen to find a new home for the clans as their old home is being destroyed and during this journey his friend/ ally dies and he's still not totally trusted even after this journey but then he finds his long lost brother who also looks remarkably like Tigerstar and the two really start to bond BUT WHOOPS that brother is evil! Gotta kill him or he'll kill your clan leader, previous mentor and actual father figure ... so he does.
Things finally start looking up for Bramble when he's named the clan deputy, has a loving mate in Squirrelflight and they have 3 kits EXCEPT NOPE THEY'RE NOT HIS! OH, ALSO IT'S TIME TO FIGHT IN SOME KIND OF AFTERLIFE CAT WAR ... aaaand your clan leader/ ex-mentor/ father figure actually dies this time as well as your adoptive daughter whom you love and raised as your own - TIME TO BE A LEADER, I GUESS! Except NOPE! You get green cough, lose a life and some asshole has taken over your body OH JOY!

I'm personally hoping that the Dark Forest is involved in Ashfur's plot, too. They mention in Squirrelflight's Hope how the Dark Forest is being overgrown by vines, and that the cats of StarClan don't know where evil cats go when they die anymore. I would love it if Ashfur was working with the Dark Forest to destroy StarClan and the Clans from the inside.
Plus, this would give the Erins' a chance to bring Maggottail back, that evil Dark Forest cat who showed up for literally one line in the The Forgotten Warrior and then was never seen again, but was described as being "the oldest" of the Dark Forest cats. He could be a sort of Emperor Palpatine character, now that Tigerstar is dead.
Either way, having Ashfur team up with the Dark Forest to create his ghost army would certainly make things more interesting! After all, with the Dark Forest overgrown, who knows what happened to Darktail and his Kin? ;)
Good theories, however there is one thing I think you missed. Look at the cats Ashfur is coming up against. Not only are they respectable, well known warriors. Ashfur wants revenge. His main goal when he was alive was to hurt Squirrelflight. If Leafpool survived she would no doubt be exiled as well. He took over Bramblestar, Squirrelflights mate.
Dovewing- one of the three, leverage on Tigerstar.
Crowfeather-Leafpools once mate. Father to the three kits who hurt him even more.
Lionblaze, Jayfeather -Squirrelflights kits, pretty explanatory.
Mothwing-Leafpools friend as well as Jayfeather.
Then we reach Sparkpelt. Squirrelflights actual kit, hurting her would hurt Alderheart in the process. All these cats are related to Squirrelflight or Firestar. The only one you can't explain as much is Twigbranch. But she is the kit Alderheart rescued and he cares about her well-being. I think this is why Tree was cut out. He is farther away from squirrelflight and the group of kin. But he would also be seen as a threat if Ashfur does have ghosts on his side. I think the ones who save the clans and Bramblestar will be those who die when starclan is blocked. They can fight Ashfurs team and maybe find a way to reestablish the connection of Starclan and the clans. Ta-da
Agreed. I think these cats were all chosen because of their personal connections to Leafpool and Squirrelflight. Twigbranch is the odd-one-out, for sure, but I think it does have to do with Alderheart. Tree was probably listed originally because of Violetshine, or because he poses a threat with his ability to see ghosts.

What if the reason the Ashfur Gang(tm) hasn’t tried to infiltrate Skyclan is actually BECAUSE of Tree and now Rootpaw? Since those two can actually see and talk to spirits they might pose a massive risk to whatever plan these cats are cooking up. I feel like this will definitely put Rootpaw and his family at risk for future books as the threat grows, but I also might be crucial in helping to save the clans in the long run.

I do agree with you but remember how Shadowsight said that all his visions weren’t from Starclan? Maybe or what if the tribe of endless hunting has their own kind of dark forest and since the power of three origins there along with the rest of the clans they are trying to get revenged when the clans saved the real tribe of rushing water all those moons ago in the mountains against that other group of cats.

And SkyClan was left out since Squirrelflight and Leafpool don’t really have anything related to them

If Dovewing and big parents in the series were possessed then I'd expect the hints to be more like the Melissa Chapman scenerio from Animorphs. If you're not familiar with that series, basically it's sci-fi but the aliens are mind controlling parasitic slugs called Yeerks, and the only people fighting back are six kids with animal morphing powers.
Anyways, the Yeerks had gotten control of Melissa's parents. The Yeerks, being able to read the minds of their host, knew exactly how to act like Mr. and Mrs. Chapman. But they couldn't recreate that motherly or fatherly love. They couldn't put the same time and care into their hosts' daughter.
So that's exactly what I expect to happen if any big parents in the series end up possessed; the kids would be the first ones to realise. That could also be the reason the Erins made a bunch of the "code-breakers" have kits.

I’m on board with Ashfur as the imposter so I’m not gonna go through that what I’m gonna share is my theory for ShadowSight’s attacker.
So first off the mint stench that was mentioned. Mint is what the medicine cat put on dead bodies basically. So HawkHeart’s mint smell would have gone by now. But who was the most recent death, and close enough to be able to attack ShadowSight. Ding ding ding AntFur. Yeah yeah I know it can’t me AntFur AntFur but what if, like BrambleStar, someone took over his body. Now there could be many many cats that took over antfur’s body and I’d like to hear your ideas.
The silent thaw actually genuinely creeped me out I loved it for that

Akira I think that Bumblestripe and Berrynose have already been possessed. Berrynose was always a bit of a jerk, but Bumblestripe was never specifically mean to anyone. He was a kind cat. Even Berrynose wouldn’t go as far as helping the impostor be cruel like that.

I have an idea of how should be the final battle since the rabies theory
I know now that is not rabies what made Bramblestar act strange but imagine if Ashfur and his allies discovered the rabies in some way and tried to spread this sickness so that they can kill them without attacking them and so no one notices their plans
Ok now... So the final battle
The clan territories had some kind of zombie attack (rabies) a stupid human in the forest saw them, got scared and started a fire
Bramblestar's plans where exposed some way, the fire takes over the territory and the fire scene of Ashfur repeats
Now the epic way it had to be
The ground is on fire, cats escape into the trees while the fire ir rising up
Bramblestar is chasing after Shadowsight, Bristlefrost and Rootspring, since they are the ones that frustrate his plan
To make it more emotional, Alderheart or Sparkpelt are with the 3 (or even both) being chased too
Bramblestar jumps into a branch but almost falls into the fire
Shadow, Bristle, Root and Alder or Spark are terrified by Bramble, he has completly lost his mind and tries to kill them even when he almost falls
Then he sees his sons, standing in the branch terrified of him (Bramblestar recovered his body but Ashfur still has him under control)
But he manages to talk by himself and Ashfur can't gain control again his voice is heard screaming "Attack them!" but Bramblestar (almost back to normal) apologizes to the trio and his sons
And then he releases his claws from the branch and falls into the fire
Inmediatly a flying monster (helicopter or plane) drops water from the sky and the fire dies
And so that could be what i consider a perfect ending for the last book of The Broken Code

I looked on the Warriors wiki and guess what I found mint is rubbed on a dead body of a clanmate omg what if it is antfur
Okay, this is crazy and even I don't believe in this theory: The scent of MINT, like a HAWK. mintkit, snowkit. kits who died young are somehow becoming old enough to attack, and are helping Ashfur, he had two littermates, elderkit and tulipkit who I'm sure woud give him info on the exiled cats, they want to live full lives. mintkit, marigoldkit, hopekit and wishkit are somehow willing to kill shadowclan cats. Mintkit and Snowkit have teamed up against Shadowsight in a shared temporary body ( most likely Antfur, his body would not be good for permenant use as it was buried for a while). So the theory is just that kits are taking over.
The fact that he gave Bristlefrost Squirrelflights duties so she can spend more time with him!! That confirmed it for me
At first I thought the figure who attacked Shadowsight was a dark forest cat who survived the battle in omen of the stars, but when you talked about Antfur and shadow clan’s bad luck it seems more reasonable that if this figure is some kind of spirit it could have possessed the dead warriors body. Besides didn’t you say that some dark forest individuals survived after the battle?

I reckon Bramblestar is being possessed by Tigerstar I.
Tigerstar I is also talking to Shadowsight.
First off, the voice Shadowsight talks to is a disembodied voice coming from darkness. Not the sunny meadows of StarClan, nor the fungus-ridden forest of the Place of No Stars.
Just...darkness.
Now, according to the Ultimate Guide, when Tigerstar I's spirit was killed, he was sent to 'a place darker than any warrior's dreams'.
So the setting of just complete darkness would fit that.
Tigerstar I is also no longer in a position where he is able to gain power (his main goal in life and afterlife), so he may very well be trying to destroy the Clans that rejected him, which he is doing by possessing Bramblestar, which we'll get onto later.
The voice also told Shadowsight to put Bramblestar on the moor to heal him.
This killed him, leaving his body free for possession.
And, let's be honest, who else would want Bramblestar's body other than Ashfur (who is likely cut off from the living world like the rest of StarClan).
The voice also told Shadowsight about the codebreakers.
Who did Tigerstar I hate?
Codebreakers.
Now, onto Possessed Bramblestar.
Possessed Bramblestar was very controlling over Squirrelflight. Perhaps this is because she's Firestar's daughter, and he wants to keep her in check.
Possessed Bramblestar also exiled Lionblaze for accidentally crossing the WindClan border. When Spotfur did the same, she was just isolated within the Clans.
This could very well be because Lionblaze is half-Clan, and if you'd remember what Tigerstar I did to the half-Clan cats in TPB, (tried to kill them all), this sounds just like something Tigerstar I would do.
Possessed Bramblestar also seems to have something against codebreakers. If we remember, Tigerstar I's father Pinestar left the Clans to become a kittypet, which was breaking the code.
Tigerstar I was also narcissistic and self-centred, which would explain his making everyone else wait for him to eat before eating.
Also, when Sparkpelt was sent to the abandoned Twolegplace, dogs were there.
They'd been lured there with fresh-kill. Possibly for days.
Let's remember poor Brightheart and Swiftpaw.
They'd been maimed and killed by the dogs led there by Tigerstar I.

I read the book and I agree with you that Ashfur is Bramblestar. “Bramblestar” banished Squirrelflight though.... I love Bristlefrost she is a lot like Ivypool (Ivypool is my favorite cat)
Me and my friend thinks it’s hawkfrost even though he’s faded, Hawkfrost has a relationship with almost everyone he names in the code breakers. Also Hawkfrost and Squirelflight did fight, it would explain him not knowing the camp nor not remembering names, or events. Ashfur knows who the cats are and the camp (excluding new cats) so why is he doing this if it’s ashfur? It’s something you over looked. Also with your theory of all clan leaders getting possessed includes mapleshade which is also faded (or dead twice) so taking that into account it’s not too far fetched.

I think it was Puddleshine, if you listen to what Spiresight said about him, and then you go back and see how Puddleshine acts when Sgadowsight says that his messages are not from StarClan bit from something evil. Puddleshine wanted to keep him quite, thats just one example.

Yester it occured to me that Greystripe was a cat who was an offfical codebreaker but was ommited from Bramblefake's list. It's worth mentioning that Cloudtail was excluded as well!
I’m not that far into the series yet but I believe it’s either ashfur or maple shade, please do not freak out XD but my friend already read those books and she said during the battle against the dark forest, maple shade ran off from the fight, I don’t know the is for sure what happened but once I get further into the series I will peice this together!

The trail of prey and the dogs attacking Sparkpelt really gets me. Tigerstar used Brindleface dead body and I cant imagine that Ash would recreate that. I think it might be another Starclan/Dark forest cat. Besides Bristlefrost heard another cats voice come out of Bstars body. Squirrel have recognized it as Ashfurs.

I would love to see Hawkheart in Antfur’s body as an evil medicine cat. One of the writers said he went to the Dark Forest when he died. I also hope Darktail’s ghost is part of Ashfur’s team because I love him and I don’t want him to go away yet.

Ashfur, or whoever the ghost cat is, could've frozen over the pool they use in starclan, cutting of the connection. Or, if the moonpool and that pool are connected, froze one pool and the other froze over as well.
You know "...dropping on him like a hawk." Could also refer to a ghost cat from Star Clan attacking Shadowsight from above as in jumping down from Star Clan to attack him
It's not Ashfur. There is some clues that don't make any sense. Like for instance, Jayfeather points out that the imposter doesn't act like a warrior. He spends a lot of time in his den. Also Bristlefrost hears a voice that doesn't sound like Bramblestar. Also he doesn't know who The sisters are and Ashfur would, since he was in StarClan. I think whoever it is may be a Dark forest cat or a kit/paw that never got to live?
I think there's just too many pieces of evidence that it is Ashfur. Ashfur wouldn't know the sisters, he wasn't alive at that time and StarClan cats don't watch every little second of what the cats do as we saw is Squirrelflight's Hope.
The thing about the voice, Bristlefrost doesn't know what Ashfur sounded like and so she didn't recognise it.
I'm not sure about the den thing though, you have a point there.

But going to Moonkittis video, the voice in Shadowsight's head gave him visions if fire relating to the fire scene, and in the vision ashes start falling from the sky and landing on Shadowsight's pekt which literally gives him ash fur. As I read TST this one line stuck out to me. Bristlefrost used a similie that said "Like a cat who's mate rejected her" like Ashfur being rejected by Squirrelflight OR Squirrelflight being rejected by Bramblestar in the 3-4th arcs.
I don't know, it feels too easy for it to be Ashfur. He was there when Squirrelflight was talking about The Sisters.
My original thought was: What if its a StarClan cat who convinced the kit/paws who died to join him going to the forest and breaking StarClan. For instance Squirrelflight's daughter and son died, Juniperkit and Dandelionkit. They wanted their mom to stay in StarClan with them. I'm thinking that the StarClan cat got them to come with him to the forest, like Squirrelflight did, which is why StarClan can't contact anyone.. So it would be something we wouldn't expect, we would never think that a kit could be evil. I think the imposter is acting almost like a kit. They want to be with Squirrelflight all the time, they don't act like a warrior and they would know about the code since (when they died) They would be able to use it to their advantage. Also they would be powerful since they are StarClan cats now. The Imposter seems to act as if they are a jealous child to me. I don't think the imposter is working alone either. I think they may be working with the ones he brought with him and they are body snatching. And whoever they are, are disguising their scent with mint. I only say this, because cats in the past have done such things to hide themselves. Also cause the imposter kept leaving the camp and going to the dirtplace.
Did anyone notice how everyone said that Tigerheartstar was too young to remember the Great Battle? He trained in the Dark Forest, so I'm pretty sure he's old enough. Unless someone went back in time and moved his birth up by a few years

It could be a coincidence, but it describes ashfur’s/bramblestar’s voice as silkily a lot in the book
6:18. On the official warrior's wiki's "Medicine" page (warriors.fandom.com/wiki/Medicine#Mint), Mint is used to "Hide the scent of death." I have yet to read the new books- but did Shadowsight get attacked after Ant's death? Because if Ant was possessed- and he did somehow come out of his grave, than the invader would obviously want to hide the stench of death.

There are three of them, and the father is Tigerheart, now Tigerheartstar. Two background girls, and a son, Shadowsight who is a medicine cat and one of the protags. Ivypool also had kits btw, one of them is another protag, Bristlefrost.

I think the Erin's may be hinting at one cat, but it's a completely different one. What if the cat possessing Bramblestar is Mudclaw or Spikefur? Adhfur seemed to have come to forgive Squirrelflight and Hollyleaf in Squirrelflight's Hope (or he could have been plotting, idk). Spikefur turned evil and cane to hate the Clans while Mudclaw would actually get to be leader like he wanted. He could be anyone really, the hints could just be the way they decided to write or fake hints meant to make the big reveal even more surprising. We won't know until the time comes.
I agree with you, he could have just taken over Bramblestar’s body because he wanted to be SquirrelFlight mate, and get away with being evil, and I like how you added cats that could work alongside Ashfur, I think Ashfur choice the three, (Jay, Lion) is because of what SquirrelFlight did, adopt them from Leafpool and say their her kits. I’m on TST, Atm, and it’s pretty good! I’m so excited for Viel Of Shadows ;) You did some pretty good theories, I hope their all true, and I think he choice Mothwing is because that the big Mothpool ship, which I support because he knew Mothwing did (I promise this is canon) Mothwing at one time did have feelings for Leafpool, and J think Leafpool is the same actually, and he wants to get revenge on the Firestar fam, Squirrel, Leaf, and etc. So, he could get away with making Leafpool feel bad about Mothwing, and he choice Crowfeather because of the Three! Because, Leafpool and Crowfeather did have kits, and so on, Holly, Jay, Lion. And, why he choice Dovewing is because she was apart of the Prophecy! You know what I nice thing would be behind the main story sleekwisker gets killed and posses the body of the shadow clan leader and joins with bramblestar/ashfur to get revenge.
I think that the first Warrior's series that we don't know who's the main villain after his first apparition as a villain. That's why, I think, Warriors is so open to theory...

Tbh I thought darktail came back because in one point in the book it says that, an so DO NOT quote, 'Bramblestar' was making them act like Darktails Kin but then I thought that they wouldn't make two arcs in a row abt the same thing (kinda)
I think Jay lion and crow are also on the list for personal revenge reasons. I bet if leafpool and hollyleaf were still alive they would be in the list.
