i love the fact that the flechette grenade sometimes pulp 5 people even if you miss your throw and sometimes it just does fucking nothing outside of slightly annoy the local security
I have never actually played cruelty squad and I am mesmerized because i am hearing terms like biothruster and nightmare vision goggles with visuals that look like they came out of a tool music video.
Nice video. I typically play on hope eradicated , with punishment and chaos turned on, so I prefer the stealth approach. My usual loadout is Life sensor, Stealth suit, Ammo gland, Funkgrunters, Rocket launcher, and Transactional rifle.
Only thing I disagree with is the hazmat suit and nightmare goggles The hazmat suit provides complete invulnerability to the toxic crisis effect, and that includes fleshrats, turning them from tiny fast enemies that removes half of your health to an enemy that does 0.5 damage per hit, turning them into not much of a threat unless you're at a very low health. The nightmare vision goggles on the other hand should be under detrimental, the black and red filter is incredibly disorienting where it's hard to make out not just enemies, but the walls of the maps, yeah sure it's cheap but I'd rather just grab the flashlight on androgen assault and be able to see shapes and enemies. But hey, just my opinion.
As a somewhat casual player my main augments are flowerchute, stealth suit, grappendix and speed 3 my weapons are usually Bolt ACR and Mowzer SP99, but this sometimes changes if there's a lot of armoured enemies
Surprised you didn't mention/know that the "armor" stat does absolutely nothing (or at least didn't last i tested it, but should be the last patch). Not that it changes all that much about the tierlist. Guess it's not that surprising, don't think you'd use armor in a speedrun anyways.

With the extravagant suit , whenever you take damage, it provides you a 5 second window wherein you wont be able to die which allows for some nifty speedruns of trauma loop(allows you to bypass the insta death areas). Same goes for cortical scaledown iirc, it also provides a 5 second invulnerability window before the user dies upon taking dmg.
Does cordical scale down break the grenades sometimes? I've been trying to flechette grenade to kill the bouncy castle target in androgen assault but it seems like the grenades just don't work sometimes if you've got cordical on

"B-but flowerchute is better" (wich now that i saw again wasnt in the list, doesnt change my argument) yeah it is until you have to jump less or NEED to fall fast. Does the wall climbing ability given by death mode nullify this? Kind of as it wont affect people who watch youtube in 2 times speed and understand everything, not my case. The flexibility it gives makes it decent and even good but detrimental? Come on man 💀 He grenade: its the cheapest way to access infinite divine light/hope erradicated mode and it can be mildly useful if you´re going on a budget to invest in meatoids before its unviable. CSIJ Level 2B body armor: It should be great as it provides maximum benefits without any ailments, i survived 4 (partial) house level triagon blasts to the face and allowed me to kill it (them? idk). I´ve really tried with the biosuit, i really did but you´d have to have some grade of schizophrenia to use it (or life googles)
@@leandrolahiteau8162 armor has been fixed since I dropped the video. Goo overdrive gets outclassed by basically every leg and arm slot item that is good. Rocket launcher is obtained in pharmo without losing any time so he grenades are never very useful.
personally, the best augment in the entire game is the stealth suit. Shitmen division is incredibly strong, not being seen is very important when you are doing things like beating every level with punishment+chaos mode. Yeah stuff like Abominator and grappendixing onto projectiles is great for speedrunning if you're into that sort of thing, but I ain't. I prefer to either be a walking death machine with the ammo gland, or a member of the shitmen division, possibly with some extra mobility tools depending on the map. That's why Cruelty Squad is great, you can design your own playstyle. There's another guy who has videos of him doing cortical scaledown+golem suit runs which is wild, he calls it Ant man.
This tier list is very different from a fun tier list, this is purely what is optimal at the highest level. Stealth suit is op, but nowhere near as op as aboming out of bounds directly to the target and killing them with the ACR.

It breaks basically everything. Acr still has range with it, which is what makes it broken.

It does the same thing the cortical does, so it lets you get through the death plane
