Cracking video and nice lid ..... I really like AGVs and have been using them for over a decade ... but their new sizing no longer fits me well. Tried a K6 earlier this year but found I'm now in between sizes, could adapt the S for a better fit but in that size my chin touched the inside of the chin bar constantly. So moved to Shoei which never used to fit me well but are now perfect for my head shape 🤷♂
Hi MotoGoato. Manufacturers will often change the internal shapes of their helmets once every few years in an attempt to make them better fitting for a larger share of the population. They also change the internal shape slightly from country to country. The new Small Medium and Large sizing that AGV are now using will mean that what was a great fit for some in the past, could now feel different. Hopefully, with the new K3 and it's customisable fit, each user should be able to get something that is right for them. The most important thing for us is that each customer gets a correct fitting helmet that is comfortable and if that we cannot achieve with our range of helmets then we'd never try and push someone into getting something that isn't right. In fact, we advise everyone to go to a shop to try these things because you will get a service that you cannot get through buying online. Really glad to read that you got a helmet that was right for you. 👍
I also bought the AGV K3 helmet recently. I want to replace the clear visor with the dark tinted visor. Which visor do I have to buy? Since the store employees where I bought the helmet couldn't find it and ordered the wrong visor, I am doing my own research now.
Hi Gundalf. The new K3 visors are not currently available in the uk and they are due to arrive in around 6 weeks, along with the other parts and accessories. They are simply referred to as K3 2206 visors on the parts listings that we have received from AGV. Make sure you get the correct size of visor because there are different sizes that correlate with the size of the shell.
I’m looking for visor and having hard time to find. All of the visors are for K3SV. My helmet is exactly the same one on the video. Is there a way to look for the visor? Something like a serial code or any kind of suggestion will be great. Thanks in advance:)
Hi Berzan. You need the GT6-1 or GT6-2 visors for the new K3 helmets. Which of the two visors you need depends on the size of helmet you've got, GT6-1 fits helmet sizes Xs - L and GT6-2 fits XL - 2XL. I hope this helps you find the right visor. Thanks for watching our video and thanks for leaving me a comment 👍
How doest it compare to the new Shoei GT Air (II)? I have the first iteration of GT Air and I don’t like the vertical visibility on GT Air II, so I am looking at alternatives. Is K3 as quiet as GT Air?
Hi Loststylus. I've not worn the GT air 2 so I couldn't comment on that particular helmet, although after testing the AGV K3 and then going back to my Arai RX7v I'd say they are very similar when it comes to wind noise.
Hi Poolexcavations. Pretty much all helmets whistle if you have the visor up whilst riding. With the visor sealed, it is a very aerodynamic and quiet helmet.
My only complaint is if you have cardo with upgraded jbl speakers you'll have to cut the styrofoam to fit them and have to do one side of your helmet at a time while pushing your ears up or they'll fold and hurt like hell when putting it on
You are right. They do only have a removable insert for a 40mm speaker. Most intercom systems do fit and with some minor modification by a specialised helmet technician, the 45mm speakers can be made to fit.
Good question. I’d say that the Shoei Rf-1200 is a very old helmet at this point and is definitely due an update. As for the AGV K3, it is an all new helmet that meets the new ECE 22-06 safety standards.
What would be your score on 10 for noise inside the helmet? ( 10 being the quietest) Thank you sir! I already have the previous version of the K3 bought in 2021. Marc, Quebec, Canada 🇨🇦😉🏍
If 10 was completely silent (which no helmet would ever be) and 1 was the volume when not wearing any helmet at all, I'd give this 7 out of 10. With ear plugs it would push it upto an 8. It's comparable to my Arai RX7v.
Hi Rydog. It is definitely more round than my old Icon Airflite. If I had to draw a comparison between them then I'd say that this is more comfortable. I think that the separate cheek pads design versus the all in one design of the other AGV's, assists with this helmets comfort level.

Yea I really wanted the K6 but I’m in between M & L so I got the K3 instead
Where can i get replacement visors / tinted visors for the new agv k3 e2206?
Hi Florisdays. That depends. Are you based in the UK or somewhere else?
@mymoto-uk Hi, i am based in Switzerland.

how is the noise?

any whistling with visor up or does the visor shut by itself at speed

@@mymoto-uk yep and or a guy with a sharp pocket knife and tape will make the 45mm fit too lol
😄 Yes, it is a simple procedure. I have to recommend a specialist though. 😉
@@mymoto-uk yeah I didn't have time to go but when I get the k5 s helmet I will have someone else do it right
Thanks for interview. Is the intercom area large enough for the Cardo packtalk Black 45mm speakers?
Hi Anotherbrick55. Yes, it has a 45mm insert that can be removed to allow for easy installation of a intercom system.
Would you recomend the new for 250 euro or sv model for 200?
I’d recommend the new one. It is a big improvement over the older SV model.
How would this compare to a rf-1200 by Shoei.

This one or AGV K1 S ECE 22-06 Mono?
Personally, I’d pick this over the k1. Mainly because of the improved visor seal and the internal visor.
@@mymoto-uk thanks
I also have a k3 sv balloon, really good helmet but noise
what is dodgy?
the helmet?
The riding conditions were dodgy. There was a lot of snow and debris on the road.
