Delicious besan laddu. Traditional Tokkudu laddu. Indian sweet. 😋

  • Ingredients:
    2 cups Besan (gram flour)
    ½ cup Ghee (clarified butter)
    1 cup Sugar (or boora shakkar or powdered jaggery)
    ⅔ teaspoon Green Cardamom Powder (4 to 6 cardamoms/elaichi crushed/powdered)
    4 tablespoons Cashews (chopped, optional)
    Instructions:
    In a pan, roast the gram flour on medium heat until it turns golden brown. This should take about 10 minutes. Stir continuously to prevent burning.
    Add ghee to the roasted gram flour and continue to roast for another 5 minutes until the mixture becomes fragrant.
    Remove from heat and let it cool slightly. Then add sugar and cardamom powder, and mix well.
    Once the mixture is cool enough to handle, make small balls of the mixture and roll them in your palms.
    If desired, you can roll the laddus in chopped cashews or any other nuts of your choice.
