This episode makes my mother tear up because it reminds her of her father. She ops not to watch it when it comes on through the syndication cycle.
That episode finale went real deep, unexpectedly sad. I feel bad while thinking about it now because it had to do with loneliness and disillusionment and a frustration and a lack of dignity and respect and self-value.. and a whole bunch of dysfunctionality that provides for a never-ending series of conflicts under that roof. ...Quite an eye-opener!

Thank God I left NJ. I now live in South Florida. It gets cold but it gets up to the 80s and sunny a couple days later.
