Glad you're headed down the Mike Patton rabbit hole. Mike Patton, Dan the Automator, and Del the Funkee Homosapien are the holy trinity of the bay area. Super creative and super diverse. Definitely check out Handsome Boy Modeling School - "Greatest Mistake"
YaY well I think you liked it lol this is a really cool song, not my favourite song on the album by far but a good one to start with 😎I kinda sent the link for the video by mistake but that's ok, the album version is just longer but Mike is funny in this video which makes up for it lol Anyway, thank you for the reaction, always good to hear what you think and see your reaction ☺️
Definitely crossover with Peeping Tom on this song. But man you reaaaaaaly need to do the WHOLE of Mr Bungles California album. Its a modern classic. If you like that then Disco Volante is the last stop on the musical magpie journey.
Woo..How have I missed this.:)) Good job, J!...Yeap, the whole album is amazing, I don`t wanna bother you, but these are just a few fun facts.:) Listen: The smooth Japanese Yankee dude at the very beginning of this video is a famous Cisco hip-hop producer Dan Nakamura, well known as `Dan the Automator`.:)) He`s the brain behind some albums of the bands such as - Gorillaz, Doctor Octagon, Deltron 3000 and many others...:) He also produced Mike Patton`s experimental hip-hip-trip-hop-pop band/album Peeping Tom...and I guess they`re now on your list.:)) Peeping Tom had many guests not to make Mike too boring with himself, hahah...It`s for making your head spinning, man, just take a look:... Nora Jones! (Patton is the only guy in the world who made this little lady say an F word - on any of her records, in any of her song, believe!), then Massive Attack, dude....!...Rahzel from The Roots and Kool Keith-Dr.Octagon, brotha`...DJ Amon Tobin, to name a few!... But Lovage is still worth of listening! The lady he sings with in here is called Jennifer Charles and she`s a lead singer of the acoustic grunge / dark-wave group called Elysian Fields.:) So they both come from a different background only to play the intriguing roll of a sexy couple on the whole trip-hop Lovage album. :) Special guest on this album is also a lead singer of The Gorillaz and Blur, Damon Albarn.:) So if I had to choose again, I would go with Roxanne and put myself into ears a tender bliss from Lovage called "Anger Management" (..feel no confused by the title!).:) Mike`s high and low vocals are simply brilliant on that one! And if I wanted to pay attention to Peeping Tom, I would def. go first with a blast single called "Mojo" (feat.Rahzel),... and then I would go to "Kill the DJ" (feat.Massive Attack)....:) Some crazy groovy shit is also "Your Neighborhood Spaceman"....:) Finally, there`s a song called "We're Not Alone" - ...and that`s some message! Keep up, Looking up, Pump it up! ....Word!@ Peace out! :)
From the 'Array' of 'Patton Offshoots' this 1 is more 'Palatable' 1stly, & i actually enjoyed this 1 more from 'That Array'.. Those 'Moans & Groans' in the 'Back', of a surety gave that 'Porn-A-Copia vibe LMBO... To me this is a 'Much Better' offering then much of 'Mikes Offshoots'.. Aight Roxi, got a thumbs up.. PEACEOUT!! Love ALL Ya'll!
@@roxannemitchell4119 Yeah along with this song and 'Pit Stop', 'Anger Management' it just gives me the vibe of "Lets Have Sex And LOTS Of It".. LMBO!! It may just be Mike and Jennifers personal relationship I.D.K. but the music is Silky Smooth and "I LIKE IT"!! Really enjoyed that 'Thanks'..
@@killurbluff5400 I think it's meant to do that lol Anger Management is my favourite song from the album, I love them all but Mike's voice on that song is to die for and I think it's also a pretty safe song to request next Yes they work really well together, I think Mike diefinitely found the right person to work with on this project 😎
Lovage is tight...and a departure for Mike. Lifeboat is my favorite on the Loveage album.

This music video wasn't the full song they cut about 45 seconds of it or more
i believe Gorillaz had a hand in production too
no, DAN THE AUTOMATOR NAKAMURA, the creator and producer of this album was the producer on the first Gorillaz album.
Tf happened to the rest of the track
oh yeah
