Going to be singing this Saturday in Candlelight for the first time in about 20 years, so pretty excited. Thanks for showing the construction on it, keeps the excitement growing
Woohoo! Made it on freshbaked! Honestly David, your recon of the park, construction reports and park science help a lot of us navigate through this wonderland! Thanks!
Almost everything is out the oven and on the table! (so to speak!) And the Park is in Christmas time zoolander mode! So exciting! Thank you Grand Poohbah! FRESHBAKED!
Just walking up the stairs to the Haunted mansion was the greatest, getting a queue back stinks. Of course Pirates isn't going off Lightning Lane, they never give anything back.
1. Someone should look for old records and see if Donald’s boat water line is connected to jungle cruise with main for park at bathrooms area; 2. When they start to use Tiana’s Que will parking then open up or they should take sign out at Pooh side; 3. HM Ques should be switched and post time for 2 hours on ghost horse standby line; 4. Do video on Hotel roof safety get Getaway Today to sponsor it!; 5. Thanks!
We were just there this past fri & sat! They did seem to move the stroller parking to an area next to Hungry Bear.. I wonder if it'll be permanent. I didnt mind cuz I imagine it helps congestion down that street but it was a bit of an odd spot for winnie the Pooh stroller parking since it's before the ride entrance, which would make a person (like me) have to backtrack.
Mark Brickey has a great critique of the HM gift shop up on his feed. Summary: imagineering was overruled on an appropriate design so they could have more space to sell stuff.
The LL being backed up due to slow scanning is a reason that I have been saying that Disney needs to require magic bands if you want to use LL. Would boost their sales on magic bands while speeding up the lines for LL and park entrance.
@puddin6796 Oh, wow. The Grand Californian is so beautiful. We have just been in the lobby to see the gingerbread house and the beautiful lobby. We will be at the Suncoast. Is this your first time ever?
all that behind pixar promenade is very active. the main parade building, along with offices are in the one closest. the one with ODV is out door vending, or ventures, all the outdoor food carts. the one on the right is maintenance. i honestly think nothing will go back there. walls should go up behind avengers on the 9th. the green tents will definitely be gone or moved a little since those are the carsland cars and jalopy the five and dime ride on. i doubt the white building will be demo'd, that's where most characters come from for avengers, etc. but outside of your shot are some trailers towards katella, those are supposed to be gone. out of the three big green buildings, i think the main important one is on the very right, out of shot, that's a huge kitchen where all the festival foods are made. but i don't think there's a plan to get rid of any of them.
I'm just repeating that not everyone wants the Lightning Lane on Pirates to be ended. We loved it during our visit this year and thought it was a great success. Losing it will be a massive disappointment.
Lightning lane observation: theyre releasing too many lightning lane returns at any given time. Not just haunted mansion but since genie+ all queues have been inconsistent
Dragged 6 friends to WDW for my 60th bday. Made them each spend $22 for Rise. The pre briefing and shuttle were both broken so we skipped them and entered through backstage (the temp single entrance) directly into the hangar. the cannons of course haven’t worked since the the first year. and the lightsaber effect was broken but still visible. ugly.
Need DL updates on the box at the entrance to Tomorrowland and the fence at the Adventureland entrance. That will give you something to do at Disneyland 😂
I hope they finish all the current construction in Disneyland and just put all their attention and construction into Tomorrowland. A full revamp. It seems like they work on almost everything but Tomorrowland which is ironic. The one part of the park that is supposed to be futuristic and a look of new science and technology… is the most outdated part of the park lol. I’m so excited for the Avengers Campus expansion, it gets hate but I always liked AC and truly enjoy being there but like everyone else, I know there could be more; so again, very pumped.
I agree, but it really feels like if they want to update tomorrow land they would have to close off the entire land and revamp it all. So maybe with pretty much the rest of the park being retouched in the last few years and now everything fully open they can look to do something like that after the 70th celebration.
Went sunday the lines weren’t that bad at all except for peter pan, indiana jones, jack rabbit, haunted mansion, small world but it was nothing to big maybe if ur party of 2 it helped
I hope in 2026, they can start on fixing Tomorrowland. I would be okay with a new People Mover, Rocket Jets and removal of some left over '98 theme, rather than a complete make over.
I hear from Park Pass that they need to update the Matterhorn to be more smooth. In recent years I think Chris described it as a back breaker. I hope they update it
I'm in my 50s and have been going to Disneyland my whole life. I went on Matterhorn in October and halfway through the ride I was just thinking "PLEASE let me survive this and not get injured." I'm all for saving classic aspects of the park but this attraction is just dangerous.
60 and was on a few times during Thanksgiving weekend. Keep your back off the seat, lean forward and lean into the turns. That's helped me keep my back intact...
My only theory behind the Donald splash pad being down is because they want to keep it off during the colder season to prevent kids from catching pneumonia? 🤷♂
FreshBaked. David, You ask what will you do if construction at the park slows down? Don't worry, we'll be here to watch you just walk around. Now that the dust has settled at the Haunted Mansion can I just say, "The more I see the new carriage house the more I don't like it. You would have thought the building would have been more in the Mansion "Style." Not just a wooden shed." DownTown Disney is getting a vibe on, after the fireworks this place really starts to pop. Like a big vacuum cleaner to suck up all your money on the way out. Cheers, Chris Perry.
little mermaid is supposed to have an ADA ramp installed. one thing they fixed was the floor in front of the door. the last time they redid it, they failed and it was peeling almost immediately. they had a taped down floor mat covering a section for a couple months.
I bet they keep Pirates on lighting lane until Tiana's is on lightning lane, or at least through the Christmas season. I'm guessing they just want to make sure guests see enough value in buying it.
David I’m not sure pirates will go back to non lightning lane. They want to offer more options for money and skipping lines. Removing lightning lane from pirates seems to counter that. I hope I’m wrong 😅
hate the haunted mansion gift shop. it looks like a restroom and gets rid of the forced perspective making haunted mansion and tianas bayou look smaller.
I’m excited for the new Coco ride to come. Have you heard much about the extension of avengers campus? I heard about the coming attractions at the D23 and I was excited California Adventure are getting new attractions in the future.
Ditch the current two lightning lane options and create a new one, charging $150.00 each, allowing guests to use them once each ride whenever. The guests will create the demand or lack there of, any given attraction. Almost a certainty of shorter lines.
They did add that option, but it is more than 150.00. It is called primer lightning lane. However, they are not taking the Genie + away. At least not yet, time will tell.
Great video as always. I think they give out too many lightening lane passes. (They need to tone it down on how many passes they handout per hour for the rides).
Honestly the gift shop is a fail for the haunted mansion. The scale is totally off and the forced perspective is wrong. It blocks the mansion from Tianna’s side. The building is much too plain. They should have done a building that more matches the mansion itself. Compared to WDW It’s totally a fail in my opinion.
Why have they not added Jack Skellington looking at the snowflake at the entrance of Mansion yet? Walls are down and that little pumpkin thing they have looks so bad.
It was probably just not put up this year due to the construction. My guess is they didn't have the space to put it up because the mansion was already open by the time they could put it up. Highly doubt it's a permanent change.
@@DisneylandMusician They'd probably have to block off the front entrance again for both safety and for the equipment to put it up and I think it would be too much of a hassle to get an overnight crew specifically for that just for it to be up for a month and a half. I've heard it had to do with the spatial audio array and how they can't play the current queue music at the same time as the music box unless it's baked into the audio track. That either means they're still testing the normal music or they don't have the overlay music ready, assuming they have a separate soundtrack planned. (Which I hope they do.)
I figured since it’s new theyd let it play out until they remove the Holliday overlay then when next year comes round we’d get the familiar music box again
Grow up, this is how disney has ALWAYS operated, if they didn't constantly fix things the park would fall into disrepair, and considering YOU people complain about even the tiniest bit of wear and tear, they kinda have to
