BUT, David makes it so contagious and joyful, it is like I'm in the park with my best friends from the late 80s. I'm 100% into the nostalgia and David sense of joy was how I felt growing up. ALSO, a kid did a youtube video on what he called 'THIN-PLACEs' and I think Disneyland is one of those places. So many people, and joyeous ocastions over the years make Disneyland Magic.
@ my husband is in his late 60s and he has taught me to be a kid again in the parks but he longs for the old days when you didn’t need to reservation to eat in a restaurant and when people chatted in line VS staring at their phones. He appreciates I take care of all the app stuff so he can relax and enjoy!

It's funny... I was chatting with a WDW local earlier who was visiting Disneyland and they were so excited by ALL the entertainment, characters and music that Disneyland has to offer. They were saying that they wished the WDW had the same as we do. And yet, Disneyland locals are always complaining about what they wish they had, while non-locals appreciate everything that Disneyland does have... Interesting, eh?
I was just there on Thanksgiving... crowds were not too bad..and the park looked grand to me..and I'm going back today...so much fun and park is beautiful.. love the new cue at HM and the entire new area by Tiannas..Bayou country looks great.. going to try the BBQ today at Hungry Bear..yeah..I will probably always call it that Thank you Dave

We just got home after Disneyland Sunday, Monday (time of this video) and DCA Tuesday - 4th year in a row we went during this time but this seemed like the busiest trip in the parks! Did get lucky though with Tiana and Haunted Mansion Que. we used 4 different phones from our party and both rides (diff times) only my phone worked to make it on the Que - def is hard and probably wouldn’t have got it without 4+ phones trying at the same time. Tiana’s was the first ride of the trip early Que had to hustle past security to barely make it - luckily staff members were nice enough to honor being a few minutes late
I’ll explain the way this works. They add more magic key slots as single day tickets sell. They are managing their staffing. The single ticket guests pay for the staffing day to day, the magic keys are a drain on staffing costs, and Disneyland is still bouncing back post pandemic. They haven’t rebounded like WDW.
Disney+ tickets!?! Dang...i wished i was aware of that before i just went last Wednesday the 20th and bought the single day ticket during my vacation week. Ugh...i always miss the deals. Maybe it will come back in the future. Thanks for always informing us of the updates in the Disney resort. Your tips were extremely helpful during our recent trip.

I went for the first time since the covid reopening a week ago, and I thought it was pretty crowded, but it was nothing like this day that you went. We went first thing to Space Mountain and waited about 20 minutes, and I think that was the longest we waited for anything all day. We did single rider on things like Matterhorn and Radiator Springs Racers though. Between both parks in one day I did 22 rides, which included all the major attractions and some of them more than once.
The last time I was on King Arthur's, back in October, it was very much a live, non-memorex, voice calling out the safety warning. To you and yours, a very happy and blessed Thanksgiving.
25:40. the thing I've heard about the Rivers of America in Magic Kingdom is that there are serious infrastructure issues with the river. So filling it in and building a new attraction on top is actually cheaper than fixing the river. Add to that the fact that the river in Disneyland doubles as the stage for Fantasmic! and I'd say the west coast Rivers of America is completely safe.
I use to go alot to DLand and the one thing I always did was go see the Princesses. A lot of times the lines get pack anywhere from 30 mins to and hour at times. I think you should do a report of the line to the Royal Hall for people who have kids will know how long the lines can be to see Cinderella Ariel and the others.
Mark my words. Once that Haunted Mansion gift shop is done, they will fix the problem where the pirates queue cuts through the walkways. I think they will get rid of the Royal Street Veranda and the current HM gift shop in New Orleans Square and run an extended queue through there.

Great that so much of Disneyland is operating - going to visit on New Year’s Day. However,the gift shop for the Haunted Mansion looks like one you could buy at Home Depot on aisle 17 -uninspired!
I would love to see the Matterhorn queue space become a version of what Pirates has, with a bridge and an undergrade space. This will help not only with walkways and parade times but also with expansion/alteration possibilities of the Motorboat Cruise area in the future.

I’m 99% sure ROA is safe at Disneyland 1. They invested on its reconstruction for Galaxy’s Edge 2. Fantasmic is basically a forever attraction at this point and it’s a huge money maker 3. The watercraft attractions are way more popular than at MK 4. Disneyland’s interconnected waterway relies on the river
Not to mention it's also important for storm water drainage and usage as a retention pond for use when there's less rainfall, so it's kinda important for more than just the water attractions.
Why did they have to close Big Thunder. I'm going next week and seeing it closed for refurb let a little helium out of my trip. Its my favorite ride :(

The new planting in the mansion que look like a sub-tropical extravaganza. As that matures it will be eye popping. I don't get why people are so mean about the new skin for Tiana and the improvements to the mansion. Disney has hit a home run. I't a world better than the seventies broken down recycled animatronics built a half a century ago.
I want to bring my husband because he has never been but we now live in Vegas and the price for 2 of us for 2 days 1 park per day was $700 that didn't include a hotel. And on top of that you need reservations.... Why it's still over crowded with long lines, might as well just allow everyone.

Hourly flex-pricing might for everybody if the reservation system is gone and they control crowds with live price adjustments. On a slow day, it's cheap to up and go to the park. On a busy day the tickets are priced to keep all but wealthy people away. Do they have a reservation requirement in Paris?
Disney has said it in writing that pirates will come off after haunted Mansion goes on lightning Lane. I don't know what they're waiting for. It says it in the description of buying premier lightning Lane.
I'm not sure if this fits here but I just wanted to give my impression of the bbq at the New Hungry Bear bbq...its underwhelming at best ..how in the world can you make a pulled pork sandwich with DRY Pork? Its supposed to be juicy and tender.. not this one...I won't go back..this now goes into the catagory of Tropical Paradise...another great restaurant space spoiled by not so great food..the Bao buns are only warm to cold and just not very good .. No more Disney

I loved Disneyland and grew up in Calif..and I still love the park.... but have not been there since I moved from Calif to Colorado in 2007..........and the park was getting expencive yearly over the years........but if Tickets (I'm guessing ) now are close from $150 to $200 if only for single day ticket.. well I'm not going to go...the tickets as well as parking is getting expencive.....and since I never ate food in the park but ate before going and after I left and I never bought merch........it is still getting expencive going to the park...Disneyland is getting greedy......bottom line that is to much to pay .....I would just stay home......I miss the park but I am not going to spend a fortune to go. my last name is not Rockerfeller.

It depends on the guests age. Further, Koda Bear uses that ride while streaming.
Depending on how busy Main Street station is, and how many people disembark at NOS station, the line can build up very quickly.

I loved Disneyland and grew up in Calif..and I still love the park.... but have not been there since I moved from Calif to Colorado in 2007..........and the park was getting expencive yearly over the years........but if Tickets (I'm guessing ) now are close from $150 to $200 if only for single day ticket.. well I'm not going to go...the tickets as well as parking is getting expencive.....and since I never ate food in the park but ate before going and after I left and I never bought merch........it is still getting expencive going to the park...Disneyland is getting greedy......bottom line that is to much to pay .....I would just stay home......I miss the park but I am not going to spend a fortune to go. my last name is not Rockerfeller.
Vacationing at Disneyland is expensive, however, if you time your visit right, you can pay as little as $104/day to visit Disneyland.
