One of the memories I will never forget is when my mom was driving me to school and we went past my school and she said we were first going to go to Target to pick up your gift it was a copy of Budokai 1! I was so excited just wanted to go home and play it. Another memories for the same game was I was home dealing with an unbelievable cold. I had the gamecube and a VCR in front of me so I decided to record my whole playthrough of Budokai 1 with some blank VHS Tapes. It took two tapes in total, but I still have those tapes this very day! These games will always have a place in my heart for more than what I've already shared. Thanks for making this video. It was a great nostalgia trip!😁
Maaaaan thank you for sharing this I was hoping to get nostalgic comment while I talk all nostalgic about this series thanks again glad you enjoyed it 🌊
Despite all the DBZ games that have come out over the years, BT1 has the most badass and authentic Intro of all of DBZ games of the Franchise. BT2 and BT3 in my opinion still remains the most Unique and the best DBZ games in terms of content, quality and fanservices. And from the gameplay perspective aspects, these DBZ games that I mentioned are very close to the anime itself because of the Vibe and Charm, I don't know how to describe it but it was, and still is the most Unique DBZ experience you could have with the combat factor. (- Sheer amount de of characters - Transformations mid-battle (powering up and down) - Fusions mid-battle - Fast gameplay that has that "woah" feel - Tons of extra content - Story mode covering all sagas + movies - What If sagas - Shenron having permanent impact on game (character unlocks and whatnot) - Great tournaments that rotate availability - Edit characters with items (buffs) - 5v5 battles - Really Great and Epic Soundtracks - Destroyable environments - Entire stages could be blown up into their "destroyed" alternatives - Mission 100 being a great challenge - Artwork is 10/10 - Sound effects are great - Combat feels heavy and satisfying) Only Budokai 3, Infinite World, Raging Blast 1 and 2 and PSP DBZ games are still considered also very solid DBZ games, also the hidden gem that a lot of DBZ fans missed from PS2 Era of DBZ games is "Super Dragon Ball Z" which is also a real Unique and DBZ game, especially for the different gameplay aspects perspective. ✌☯️
Why is your content so bingeable. Your humor, your tastes, the things you talk about, and the vibes you exude are just so chill and always hit me in the nostalgic spots, keep doing what you''re doing man, this content is awesome.
14:15 i'm 27 now and to this day haven't been able to share this feeling with anyone. Cool ass dude, i'll be supporting your content any way I can for as long as you're going. You did what I couldn't by committing to making these, I have friends but never any sharing the same interests. Thanks again for these.
Bruh, you mentioning the goku and Vegeta mutual head nod 😏 almost brought me to tears. I promise you, me and my best friend growing up would die EVERY TIME that popped up. I mess with your content and what you are doing HEAVY. Truly hope you continue to grind and excited to see what the future in these TH-cam streets holds for you
Yo man really loved reading this comment I’m glad me and bro weren’t the only ones that thought that shit was unintentionally hilarious and thank you my guy I’ll definitely keep grinding!
Budokai 2 holds a special place in my heart because it was the first and only game me and my pops ever played together. Video games were never of any interest to him but for whatever reason he really clicked with it. He mained krillin and he'd always whoop my ass but I'd never let up. I'll always hold those memories dearly.
The depth in combat of Tenkaichi games goes far deeper than just combos, the way to use them is essential, a gigantic part of that series is movement, how to position yourself to get the biggest advantage, how to break the opponents defenses with nothing besides dashes and ki blasts, the way to do so is really intricate and it is definitely a lot of fun to learn I do videos discussing gameplay related tech and intricacies of these games, we also have a small competitive community with crazy game knowledge who still play these games actively if you'd like to know more
Oh yeah man I know I just couldn’t obviously break down every single hidden mechanic so I just simplified the wording but yeah it’s crazy the amount of hidden mechanics in those games that you can use to heighten the skill ceiling
Bruh, you're humor is an entire generations nerdy vibe distilled into a gorgeous anime drip. I've enjoyed watching your channel double this last week and hope it continues
My copy of Tenkaichi 3 going missing was such a dark day that still haunts me 10 years later. Had that game mastered with 100s of hours and never lost it's appeal. I even had every character item customized as 1. Physical attacks 2. Energy based 3. Unique to character. Fuck, I miss this game.
Man, you're literally my memories portrayed on a screen. From AMVs, Linkin Park, Handheld gaming, this etc. It's literally my life on screen! Thank you so much for this
Nobody : Some toxic fans be like : U DIDNT WATSH DA SHOW U ONLY WATSH DBKAI ITS NOT DA SAM ............... by the way i have the same experience ? And i used to watch every episodes of DBS while the were streamed from Japan back then lol
@@ZERARCHIVE2023I've seen both versions and the biggest sin that both of them commit is the absolutely atrocious pacing. May as well watch the version that cuts the most padding out
Dude you just described my love for DBZ videogames as a kid. I was born in 1994 and DBZ videogames were my favorites back in the day. We also can’t forget about the Shin Budokai games on the psp, which are really underrated.
My uncle gave me Tenkaichi 3 when i was 9 and me and my brother played it till the disc stopped working, then 2 years later we got the Budokai HD Collection and played that one till the disc stopped working. These games are a huge part of my childhood and I'm glad I was able to play them
You could get it resurfaced if the damage is bad enough. I still have DBZ Budokai Tenkaichi 3 but the disc got pretty scratched as well. I can't even play the game so I probably need a resurface.
7:43 Beam clashes were my favorite part of the game as well! I tried to make a video game that took inspiration from the world destruction elements of Dragon Ball Z. I actually managed to implement hardcore beam clashes with fast button presses - it kept going until someone managed to move the beam clash all the way to the opponent. My friends loved it!
Dude you’ve gotta be my long, lost imaginary foster brother or something. Your humor is on point, and everything I feel nostalgic for and partial to, you cover it. With the same enthusiasm I feel if not more. You’re on point bro. Much love to you for making this channel. I hope you’re well in life.
huh ! apperently we had the same childhood its like i wrote this script myself if i can ad anything its that budokai 2 had so many secrets and unlockable characters skills and even modes that miniboard story mode was also full of secrets i loved and hated it at the same time every unlock had special and precise requirements like examining the ground at a random place i wanted all unlocks from the starts but it also felt staisfying everytime you get one then camez tenkaichi 3 litterelly flawless top 10 games ever
Challenger's Theme at 10:55 is actually a Stradivarius song they nabbed. The original is called Hunting High and Low. Great video, I loved these games to death.
Awesome vid, so nostalgic! Tenkaichi 2 and 3 were insane. You ever dodge a finishing death ball...at point blank range? Once you get into manual afterimages it goes...beyond! Always wanted to play this game online, felt like such a monster getting better every day for years! So many hidden mechanics!!
Despite all the DBZ games that have come out over the years, BT1 has the most badass and authentic Intro of all of DBZ games of the Franchise. This video makes me so happy because this is one of the first games I played the 3 I played it a lot with my older cousin and it just feels do nostalgic to watch this
Growing up I didn't own a PS2 so me and my friends would go to gaming cafes and Budokai tenkaichi 3 and SmackDown here comes the pain were the 2 games we always played.
Still playin' Dragon (BT3) to this day with my cousin. So many memories like learning sonic sway and Z counters and not telling each other how to do them. We still be tryna to make Gohan pick all those turnips. On a separate note just discovered this channel and it's criminal that there aren't more subs. Deadass these videos are pulling things out of childhood that I forgot were there. Nice mix of nostalgia and analysis here. You do well! Ha ha ha. You do well.
You captured the love and nostalgia I have for this series so well!! 😭 inviting friends over to play this game, not being able to beat my older brother, all the dope details in the games. There really isn’t anything like it anymore
I loved this series as a kid but Budokai Tenkaichi 3 holds a special place in my heart. I remember a week before Christmas my grandma got me some early gifts when she took me to GameStop and I got a few Wii games. One of which was Budokai Tenkaichi 3 and boy did I play the shit out of that game. I was 12 at the time and I remember just coming home from school, doing my homework, and hopping on my Wii to play Budokai Tenkaichi 3 and it’s a memory that stuck with me ever since because I was a huge fan of the anime and I still am to this day and whenever I played that game it felt so surreal, just the Wii version made me feel like a Dragon Ball Z character and I played it without the Safety Strap. It’s a core memory that’s been photocopied many times like an old film reel. Even other aspects like going to a park or a beach and re-enacting Dragon Ball Z fights or coming up with my own with the power of imagination. Plus with my creativity I even came up with some OCs and What If scenarios. But just like any film reel, there’s even some blanks. So in 2016/17 my Wii started to bite the dust meaning that it stopped working and with that one copy which I know is a rare and expensive game today but then what I did with my original copy…I sold it. Yeah I sold it and got 20 bucks from it and what did I do with that 20 dollars, I went and bought a burrito and fries from a local Mexican restaurant. But to this day I don’t remember how that burrito was when I ate it. I mean I still eat there today and get the same thing but then…uhh did it have Carne Asada? What hot sauce did I put on it? Was it any good? If you ask me today I’ll be like. “What the fuck are you talking about.” At first I thought it was dumb but at the same time I had to forget about it for a little while and I don’t remember any burrito…I remember Budokai Tenkaichi 3. But whenever I hear the soundtrack more specifically “Overture” I can’t help but to get misty eyes because of the tears flowing cause of the nostalgia. Even to this day, whenever I walk by that skatepark, or a beach I can still feel myself pretending to be Dragon Ball Z characters and when I played the game, I could imagine my great grandpa who passed away around that time still watching me play and express my creativity and imagination regarding Dragon Ball Z and that special game known as Budokai Tenkaichi 3. If the game ever gets remastered for the PS4/5, Switch and so on, or if I come across an old system such as the PS2 or Wii along with that game, I’ll feel whole again because that game will always hold a special place in my heart until the day I die.
The algorithm gods blessed me with this content just as I find out that Tenkaichi Budokai 4 is finally on the way. The boys and I used to kill Budokai 3. I remember battling the summer days away and even embarrassing the lesser-skilled homies by beating them with one hand behind my back. Good times for sure.
Fun fact, the Dragon Ball Z Budokai Tenkaichi series is not a continuation of the Budokai series, but a completely separate one. They don't share the same developers (the "Budokai" games were developed by Dimps and the "Budokai Tenkaichi" games were developed by Spike) and the name "Budokai Tenkaichi" was probably chosen to capitalize on the Budokai fans in the west, since these games are named DBZ Sparking! (Tenkaichi), Sparking! Neo (Tenkaichi 2) and Sparking! Meteor (Tenkaichi 3) in Japan while the Budokai games are simply named Dragon Ball Z, Dragon Ball Z 2 and Dragon Ball Z 3 in Japan.
I know this is 9 months too late, but maaaaaan you're my hero lmao. I freakin loved, coveted, and formed very necessary skills in Budokai 3 AND Tenkaichii 3. My buddy would main Spovovich and slap my shit in nonstop. And if I managed to beat down his spovovich, he'd anime up and slap my 6 character team with Super Saiyan Gogeta. Love your vids, hope you're youtube career takes off!!
DBZ Budokai was the first way i saw the story. Good god i love everything about this video. Funfact, I use the Budokai music to help me work out. DAMN that is one hell of a motivater
I remember growing up very poor but a family had gifted us a PS2, a second controller to play with my younger brother and 4 games. Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 4, Gran Turismo 3: A-Spec, Dave Mirra Freestyle BMX 2 and finally Dragon Ball Z Budokai. I spent so many hours playing. Most memorable gift ever. It got me into gaming more than ever. N64 and Game Boy Color helped me too. And SEGA Genesis will always me my first love as a kid. A used old Genesis when PlayStation was out but again, too poor.
Man Budokai Tenkaichi 3 was my Main Game for years Me and my little bro used to play all day, i still remember my 5 x 5 Team Goku (end) , Turles, Super Buu, Super Janemba and Super Vegeto. So may legendary battles, so may bean struggles, so many broken controllers... Man, they dont make fighting games like good old days without some paid dlc or bad online
don't forget about the successors to these games: Raging Blast and Raging Blast 2. both of these games are just as wonderful as the budokai series and i feel like not enough people give them the praise they deserve. does RB2's singleplayer suck? yes absolutely, but the multiplayer more than makes up for it
My initial introduction to Dragon Ball was my Dad’s collection of games for the PS2 and PS3. My childhood favorites were always Budokai 3 and Raging Blast, with Burstlimit not far behind
Budokai 1 and 2 were my games. Honestly budakai 1 was how I got the story of dbz before the buu saga because I came to dbz a little later than my peers. Stayed up late and beat the first one in a single night during Xmas break of 02 and honestly that wasn’t a bad way to experience the first 3 sagas of dbz. I still get chills at gohans last stand with goku against cell, even though it hasn’t aged the best. My friends and I used to place small bets of money, talking like quarters, or little toys we had on battles in budokai 2s cpu battles. We didn’t really see it as gambling but it so was. I remember someone’s parents found out because one kid lost a decent bionicle by predicting a match wrong and we all got in so much trouble. Like weird matches like yamcha vs tien. Racoom vs nappa. Like real B tier junk matches 💀. Looking back I see why our parents wanted to squash that behavior early 😂
When I first got a Ps2 for my 10th birthday, my grandma took me to Toys R Us to pick out 3 games. I got Kingdom Hearts, Digimon Rumble Arena 2, and Dragonball Budokai 3. Those intros are baked into my heart
You're absolutely spitting ab the B3 opening. To me, it's a perfect encapsulation of DB before it was revived with Super. I'm glad it's back, but I miss this era a lot
3 things to say: 1. I'm only 18, and this dude's videos hit me with nostalgia harder than the references do. 2. Since my family wasn't really rich, during the times when everyone else already had a One X or PS4 Pro, I was still playing on my PS2 slim. I'm not upset about it tho, cuz probably all the games from my list of favorite games is a PS2 game. 3. How has this guy not blown up yet? Wish to be able to watch you blow up man, you got some dope and compelling videos.
Bro holy shit thank you so much like man im like 23 so we’re about the same age and I also had a ps2 forever cause my older brothers would hand em down to me when they got newer consoles and again thank you so much for this comment this shit really lifted me up today cause I constantly worry about everything including the fear that I won’t go anywhere with this but comments like this give me so much hope lol sorry to ramble your comment just really got to me lol thanks man
Hold on to that PS2 Slim if you still have it and cherish it. I still wish I had my satin silver Slim I got as a gift in late 05. I've long since misplaced it after multiple home shifts but man do I miss it. Budokai/Tenkaichi, Ratchet and Clank, Jak, Sly, Kingdom Hearts, FFX, FFXII, Okami, God of War, DMC, Smackdown vs Raw, Tekken 5, Burnout, NFS Most Wanted, NFS Carbon, Shadow of the Colossus, Prince of Persia SOT trilogy, man there were so many amazing games I absolutely adored on the PS2. This is just a short list of games I loved back then on it. I legit had like 400 or more games in my PS2 collection. Absolute powerhouse of a system. Trust me, you're lucky if you got to play the PS2 years after its prime. You got access to a massive library of fantastic classics from all the genres and franchises it offered. I'll sound like a boomer at 24 years old but that console was from an era where there was more heart and love put into most games.
fun fact- dbz budokai 2 was THE first video game I ever played, and I use to play dbz bt 3 DAILY. they both hold a very special place in my heart, up there with all the other ps2 classics. I still listen to the games' intros sometimes just to get that nostalgia rush. I played Budokai 3 again recently at the hardest difficulty and never realized how much thought was actually put into the game's mechanics (except dragon rush, why tf would you put rng in a fighting game). As a kid I just spammed the p p p e combo and won every fight that way😭. I never realized how hard the game could actually be . It's crazy how this channel keeps bringing back so many old memories, keep it up! Also a side note, there's this mod for dbzbt 3 called... dbzbt 4. Anyway it's super cool and adds a bunch of new dbz super characters and scenarios to the game. I highly recommend trying it on emulator sometime if you get the chance.
First time ever coming across your page but I’m glad I did this video here was amazing one of the best Dbz Budokai reviews I’ve watched these games were apart of my childhood and bring back so much nostalgia you made this video funny as hell with your humor 😂 glad to know it’s people that make these Dbz game videos you got a new sub from keep doing your thing 💯🫡
I remember playing budokai 1 Christmas morning and thinking it’s was the pinnacle of video games. It was such an awesome gift and I’ll remember fighting in the hyperbolic time chamber in matchups with my siblings, so awesome!!!
I grew up with these games im only 17 but my uncle would always play budokai 3 and tenkaiechi 3 with me i was like 5-6 looping budokai 3’s opening and also spending a day learing tenkaiechi 3’s Japanese opening just to singa along to a TH-cam video its just so nostalgic
I think the most interesting / comedic thing about the soundtrack. Is for years purists used to slam the dragon ball dub movies for using "licenced music that didn't fit dragon ball". Only for it to come out that the Budokai games plagiarized a lot of those songs. Most obvious being "The Game - By Disturbed " in coolers revenge. Then it came out that one of the fan favorite battle themes from Budokai 3 was plagiarized from that same song
That Budokai 3 opening part hit me right in the ass. I used to turn my ps2 on just to watch that opening before going to bed every night when I was a youngster. Good good times
It’s so reassuring to see someone else be so passionate about games. I also have a deep love and appreciation for the budokai and tenkaichi series. I was beginning to think I was the only one who remembered the certain voice lines from the games. I still have them pop into my head regularly, including the recoome one 😂. I too get choked up watching the intro to budokai 3, something about it is just so magical. The music may have been plagiarized, but it’s still so damn good, and fitting. Plus, it helped me find a few songs that I ended up enjoying. This was an amazing video. Glad the games meant as much to you as it did to myself and many others. They are timeless classics, with something just a little bit different to offer in each of them.
Dude it’s reassuring to read this comment! It’s always great to hear the not only we loved these games but even felt the same about certain aspects of it
Damn almost teared up hearing that budokai 3 intro, that was the only dbz game we had and played with my brother so much. And the beam clash God damn those were the days. Love your vids keep em coming bro.
I stumbled upon this video by mistake and let me tell you, you took me on a journey through my childhood, reminded how much dbz characters been a place for me to run to from my childhood to give me a place of happiness. This video made me laugh, dance, emotional and in the end cry vocally with the feeling of having a "re-discovering myself and loving myself flashback" kinda shonen moment here on my couch. (I'm 31 almost and everything you described about those games is identical to my experience as a 90's kid). Thank you for this video man. Subscribed!
Man I remember beating budakai 3 and unlocking everything and going back to the loading screen after the credits and just sitting there listening to that electric guitar feeling empty
One of the greatest memories I will ever have was when I was in middle school my family took a trip too my Uncle's house he had Dragon ball Budokai tenkaichi 2 from the Opening cinematic alone I fell in love and the gameplay to this day is one of my favorites. One of the hardest things for me too understand was the supers I had no idea I could do them all this time I had used physical attacks, but everything changed when Broly:Second coming chapter came in...Dear god it took me 3 years my entire middle school era to beat Broly as Videl, Goten and Gohan and they had low health to begin with especially Videl and Goten, and too make it worse physical attacks wouldn't effect broly he wouldn't have the animations of being hit he would just stand there menacingly...but that was it happened I had enough... I used Goten kamehameha I kept my distance from Broly and kept spamming ranged attacks when I finally beat Broly I was on cloud FUCKING 9 it was the greatest moment that made me love the tenkiechi budokai games. To this day I just turned 19 and still playing and when Broly *Z* was brought in Dragon ball fighterz I immediately knew he was my main and Dragon Ball Budokai Tenkaichi 2 us one of the best Dragon Ball games up there with the 3rd game and Fighterz in my eyes.🔥😌🔥
I played through Budokai 3 so many times. First fighting game I really got into. Only person that could beat me was my uncle. (who gifted me the game btw). I too get choked up at the intro and it remains one of my favorite intros to any media ever. Enjoyed the video man!
Awesome video bro ur content is hella relatable for me feels like our childhood was very similar. Keep making videos they’re entertaining, your channel will be big one day
I’ve been feeling like that for a while I hear stories or I’ll tell stories and there’s quite a few ppl who did the exact same stuff it’s pretty cool to be able to share these memories abd thank you my guy I’m glad you enjoyed it 🌊
I was in 2nd grade when the first Budokai came out and my mom had just bought me a PS2, along with Yu-Gi-Oh Duelists of the Roses. Played tf out of both of those games for years! And lets not forget the passwords, cheat codes, and GameShark. Same goes for Pokemon G/S/C for thr GBC. If you ever grew up with these, please make a video on them. Your content is A+ and I instantly subscribed to your channel!
Great ass games! And thank you for loving and supporting the content that means the world to me and currently I don’t have a video for those specifically but I do have a 1 hour long vid on the pokemon series as a whole and I do talk about those !
awesome video bro, the intro hit me with a blast of nostalgia! the dbz budokai games were amazing. raging blast 1 and 2 are some of my favourites too 😎
Great vid. It's nice to see that you are doing vids on topics you care about and can have fun doing instead of just what will get you views like others. I never played these games, but your videos are so entertaining that I'll watch them anyways.
That’s always been the goal just trying to make the stuff I wanna talk about and am passionate about, thanks for still watching despite not being your thing tho that goes beyond my appreciation 🌊
Man what a trip down memory lane, thanks for conveying how we all felt about this series growing up. On another note, there's this fan mod for Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 3 called Budokai Tenkaichi 4 and it adds all the Super characters and forms up to the Tournament of Power, highly recommend checking it out!
I had a rule playing Budokai 3 where if the game gets booted up the entire intro must be played without skipping. I’d make up “what if” battles between characters that never canonically fought and come up with storylines and make a sequence of battles to follow that “story” Budokai 3 was great and exactly what I needed when it came out.
All whole Budokai series have a such destroyer soundtrack and it made part of my teenager times. I particularly love the track from the character select screen from Tenkaichi 2
man….the first time I got this game, my dad got it for me for christmas. I played it and the animation starts and i think it’ll pan into the dragon ball world and then 0:06 to 0:09 happen. the shadow mixed with the music sting hits and you realize its not a camera, its Goku’s flying POV. CLASSIC!
I can't lie I choked up a little bit at a like 6 places during this video- this really was an experience so many of us shared and every time I see someone talk about it, it brings out a little saiyan pride
Maaaaan thank you for sharing this I was hoping to get nostalgic comment while I talk all nostalgic about this series thanks again glad you enjoyed it 🌊
You were the first let's player
You should digitalize these VHS and put them on TH-cam or some platforms, I would've done this if i could
Despite all the DBZ games that have come out over the years, BT1 has the most badass and authentic Intro of all of DBZ games of the Franchise. (- Sheer amount de of characters
- Transformations mid-battle (powering up and down)
- Fusions mid-battle
- Fast gameplay that has that "woah" feel
- Tons of extra content
- Story mode covering all sagas + movies
- What If sagas
- Shenron having permanent impact on game (character unlocks and whatnot)
- Great tournaments that rotate availability
- Edit characters with items (buffs)
- 5v5 battles
- Really Great and Epic Soundtracks
- Destroyable environments
- Entire stages could be blown up into their "destroyed" alternatives
- Mission 100 being a great challenge
- Artwork is 10/10
- Sound effects are great
- Combat feels heavy and satisfying) Only Budokai 3, Infinite World, Raging Blast 1 and 2 and PSP DBZ games are still considered also very solid DBZ games, also the hidden gem that a lot of DBZ fans missed from PS2 Era of DBZ games is "Super Dragon Ball Z" which is also a real Unique and DBZ game, especially for the different gameplay aspects perspective. ✌☯️
And look at you now- the king of games
Why is your content so bingeable. Your humor, your tastes, the things you talk about, and the vibes you exude are just so chill and always hit me in the nostalgic spots, keep doing what you''re doing man, this content is awesome.
Thanks bro! I’m just being myself making what I love I’m glad that can provide you with positive vibes
I know, it's insightful but also unpretetious
Cause nakey jakey did it first
14:15 i'm 27 now and to this day haven't been able to share this feeling with anyone. Cool ass dude, i'll be supporting your content any way I can for as long as you're going. You did what I couldn't by committing to making these, I have friends but never any sharing the same interests. Thanks again for these.
Hey man that’s all good everyone has their own path or ways of expressing things and thank you for supporting me it means a lot
I'm 17 and I feel the same way about this song and challengers from budokai 1
Bruh, you're humor is an entire generations nerdy vibe distilled into a gorgeous anime drip. I've enjoyed watching your channel double this last week and hope it continues
Discovered this channel today, just binged the hell out of it, all I can say is it deserves a lot more subs
hey thank you for coming to this corner of the internet I appreciate you!
I agree with you man !
Thank you so much for this
3:00 Budokai 1 and Tenkaichi 2 is how I learned the full story. I didn't watch the anime until much later thru Kai.
Nobody :
Some toxic fans be like : U DIDNT WATSH DA SHOW U ONLY WATSH DBKAI ITS NOT DA SAM
............... by the way i have the same experience ? And i used to watch every episodes of DBS while the were streamed from Japan back then lol
@@ZERARCHIVE2023I've seen both versions and the biggest sin that both of them commit is the absolutely atrocious pacing. May as well watch the version that cuts the most padding out
Dude you just described my love for DBZ videogames as a kid. I was born in 1994 and DBZ videogames were my favorites back in the day. We also can’t forget about the Shin Budokai games on the psp, which are really underrated.
Tenkaichi Tag Team on the PSP was basically a handheld Budokai Tenkaichi
9:18 love that line but could never make out what es says, I always heard 'u the world', very wholesome, haha
Bro getting to the end of this video and hearing you say “getting close to 500 subs” was insane. Great work
Dude you’ve gotta be my long, lost imaginary foster brother or something.
Your humor is on point, and everything I feel nostalgic for and partial to, you cover it. With the same enthusiasm I feel if not more.
You’re on point bro. Much love to you for making this channel. I hope you’re well in life.
Much love to you my imaginary foster brother
huh ! apperently we had the same childhood its like i wrote this script myself if i can ad anything its that budokai 2 had so many secrets and unlockable characters skills and even modes that miniboard story mode was also full of secrets i loved and hated it at the same time every unlock had special and precise requirements like examining the ground at a random place i wanted all unlocks from the starts but it also felt staisfying everytime you get one then camez tenkaichi 3 litterelly flawless top 10 games ever
That’s awesome dude ! Love that we 2 ppl who never can connect through a form of art in that way
Challenger's Theme at 10:55 is actually a Stradivarius song they nabbed. The original is called Hunting High and Low. Great video, I loved these games to death.
Yeah Kenji Yamamoto plagiarised the shit out of the games 😂😂
Bro, you and your channel are truly gems!
I loved that mechanic ! It made you feel like ultra instinct before it existed lol
(- Sheer amount de of characters
- Transformations mid-battle (powering up and down)
- Fusions mid-battle
- Fast gameplay that has that "woah" feel
- Tons of extra content
- Story mode covering all sagas + movies
- What If sagas
- Shenron having permanent impact on game (character unlocks and whatnot)
- Great tournaments that rotate availability
- Edit characters with items (buffs)
- 5v5 battles
- Really Great and Epic Soundtracks
- Destroyable environments
- Entire stages could be blown up into their "destroyed" alternatives
- Mission 100 being a great challenge
- Artwork is 10/10
- Sound effects are great
- Combat feels heavy and satisfying) Only Budokai 3, Infinite World, Raging Blast 1 and 2 and PSP DBZ games are still considered also very solid DBZ games, also the hidden gem that a lot of DBZ fans missed from PS2 Era of DBZ games is "Super Dragon Ball Z" which is also a real Unique and DBZ game, especially for the different gameplay aspects perspective. ✌☯️
This video makes me so happy because this is one of the first games I played the 3 I played it a lot with my older cousin and it just feels do nostalgic to watch this
Absolutely NAILED the training arc because I hogged the ps2 after school and practiced so much just to beat my older brother just ONCE in Budokai 3 😫
Did you ever beat him even after all that? You should have at least gotten better.
Budokai 3 is a personal favourite of mine. Love your videos bro!
The opening music in budokai 2 and 3 were definitely something fierce. Vocals by the same guy that sung chala head chala I think.
We see it in the opening game intro scenes
Can't tell you how much this relates to me. Your channel is super comfy, and I can't stop watching, haha
Culture is never meeting you in life but understanding 100% what you’re talking about here. Thanks for the trip down memory lane!
Man Budokai Tenkaichi 3 was my Main Game for years
Me and my little bro used to play all day, i still remember my 5 x 5 Team
Goku (end) , Turles, Super Buu, Super Janemba and Super Vegeto.
So may legendary battles, so may bean struggles, so many broken controllers...
Man, they dont make fighting games like good old days without some paid dlc or bad online
Budokai 3 had me thinking Goku could've gone super saiyan 4 against Recoome
Budokai 3 still has the best opening. That was so lit back in the day.
don't forget about the successors to these games: Raging Blast and Raging Blast 2. both of these games are just as wonderful as the budokai series and i feel like not enough people give them the praise they deserve.
does RB2's singleplayer suck? yes absolutely, but the multiplayer more than makes up for it
My initial introduction to Dragon Ball was my Dad’s collection of games for the PS2 and PS3.
DBZ Budokai Tenkaichi 3 best game hands down
Throughout the whole video i had a huge smile on my face. 😂 Thanks man for letting me relive my childhood
I got you!!
I've only found this channel a couple weeks ago but it feels as if it's always been a part of my youtube feed. What a beautiful array of content
3 things to say:
I nearly spat out my tea when you started dancing to the Challenger's Theme! :'D Brilliant! Keep up the great work!
fun fact- dbz budokai 2 was THE first video game I ever played, and I use to play dbz bt 3 DAILY. they both hold a very special place in my heart, up there with all the other ps2 classics.
10:38 this 🥷 understands
First time ever coming across your page but I’m glad I did this video here was amazing one of the best Dbz Budokai reviews I’ve watched these games were apart of my childhood and bring back so much nostalgia you made this video funny as hell with your humor 😂 glad to know it’s people that make these Dbz game videos you got a new sub from keep doing your thing 💯🫡
1:14 damn.. that nostalgia lol
I remember playing budokai 1 Christmas morning and thinking it’s was the pinnacle of video games.
It was such an awesome gift and I’ll remember fighting in the hyperbolic time chamber in matchups with my siblings, so awesome!!!
That was a great video man. Still listen to these openings regularly.
Same here bro I come back to the budokai 3 one anytime I need a lifting of my spirits lol
I haven't smiled so much while watching a video. This was great.
Incredible to see how far you’ve come!
I remember playing Tenkaichi 2 doing roshi vs ssj4 for fun and stuff. Man there were so many characters even grandpa gohan
Subscribed!
Love your vids man, they really bring back a bunch of nostalgia. The DBZ Budukai series were the best, DBZ fighter just doesnt hit me the same way
My gosh That challenger theme just gave me goosebumps, I nearly jumped out my chair
I've been marathoning your videos like crazy tonight. You got yourself a new dedicated subscriber!
Budokai 3 was my jam. I forgot about the beam struggles lol. Great video
Thanks bro 🌊 I could never forget them i got way too many blisters on my hands from them lol
OD nostalgia watching this 😂😍 Budokai 3 was the ONLY game I could beat my brother in haha. Dope video as always 🙌🏽
yeah man I grew up with all these games too and my favorite intro was always the Budokai 3 one. Such a good jam
I’m very happy this video pulled up into my recommendations. You da goat bruh🐐
It’s wild going back and watching IP’s older vids, and hearing the man talk about sub goals of 400 🥲
We’ve come a long way
6:00 this song bring so many memories back 😭
7:10 man really showed the howieazy video 🤣
I played through Budokai 3 so many times. First fighting game I really got into. Only person that could beat me was my uncle. (who gifted me the game btw). I too get choked up at the intro and it remains one of my favorite intros to any media ever. Enjoyed the video man!
Coming back to this video after playing Sparking Zero (BT4) has been a grand time for all of us. We won so much.
And thank you for loving and supporting the content that means the world to me and currently I don’t have a video for those specifically but I do have a 1 hour long vid on the pokemon series as a whole and I do talk about those !
to hear you bring up the "you do welll" is definitely nostalgic
You deserve a like for that first joke hilarious never noticed he had two right hands
Editing level of the gods right here !!!!!
He never misses. These games slap! My fiance and I played the first one once, gotta challenge her again 👀
Great video! Keep it up, we love these!
Lol thank you my guy ! And that sounds like a lot of fun and most definitely gotta another video hand video coming up !
@@InternetPitstop we love to hear it
awesome video bro, the intro hit me with a blast of nostalgia! the dbz budokai games were amazing. raging blast 1 and 2 are some of my favourites too 😎
I put that there specifically for that feeling so that’s great to hear ! Agh the raging blast series honestly still sad we never got a 3rd one smh
Man I didn't know how important this series have been for me until I watched this . Thank you
I’d make up “what if” battles between characters that never canonically fought and come up with storylines and make a sequence of battles to follow that “story”
Budokai 3 was great and exactly what I needed when it came out.
This is the only good budokai retrospective video that actually made me remember my time playing those games.
CLASSIC!
The older games were def so much better! I miss them. Also the opening scenes are iconic! B3 was one of my favorites
Your videos are so good! keep it up champ!
Dammit dude! ...... This is a good ass video. And what you said about the Budokai 3 music making you feel emotional, I feel that 100%.
I remember getting the tenkaichi games back to back for my birthday every year. I had the 1st 2 budokais and all 3 tenkaichi games
One of the best videos on TH-cam love dbz!! I am happy to know I’m not the only one!
I can't lie I choked up a little bit at a like 6 places during this video- this really was an experience so many of us shared and every time I see someone talk about it, it brings out a little saiyan pride
Love the content
Keep this up !!!
(The editing is 💯💣💥)
