Hey, I've took the same picture of Rathaus from my last year vacation trip using my P9 lite. the difference is huge though ;)
can't wait to see what the larger aperture on the P10 Plus can do.
I'm also curious. I mean the software aperture feature is cool for portraits, but also very unnatural. Im exited about low light too.

yea i dropped my p9 plus several times and it always survived. also the UI was always fast. Just battery suffered a bit after some time. love huawei

I liked the P9 but I am unsure about the P10. The removal of pressure sensitivity is a huge inconvenience. Also, having to long press the home button to get home will make everything on the phone so slow, that speed will no longer be an advantage.

Hmm, I don't know. To me flatter but more natural looking photos on Mate 9 look more appealing. It's a sort of disappointing that Huawei has followed Samsung's way and changed the software to make the colours much more pop and saturated. Still great-looking photos though, and I like how it has improved exposure control under low-light conditions compared to the one on Mate 9.

My Problem with the p10 camera is, that it is still worse than my 2015 Lumia 950. I mean that goes for probably any camera, even s7 and Pixel, but I don't get how they can't catch up to the Lumias after 1.5 years.

Thanks for the review but I have noticed the front camera miss focus on your girlfriend face while she was moving on the video. correct me if i am wrong plz... focus in low light was the main downside in the mate 9 if you remember and it seems huawei still didn't deal with this problem 100% still
yes in low light the frontcam focus when you move fast sucks a bit.

Cubamus Prime the GS8 actually does more bro not to mention phenomenal focus on the rear and a new sensor. You can actually know something about a thing by taking a picture and Bixby provides an information about the image ex. a coca cola bottle and also the front camera has autofocus. the P10 is good with a nice price tag but the S8 is the best with a high pricetag nonetheless. Both in my opinion are still better than the IP7.

P10 picture quality has a huge weak point. It softens all the pictures and make them blurry when you zoom. If you carefully look at all the P10 pictures, all the people have baby skin because of this feature and the hairs look like they've been painted. I don't understand why everyone is saying so many good things about this phone, just Zoom after taking a picture, the softenend filter can't be desactivated. I have a P10 which i bought based on the sales speech of the girl on the photo quality and i regret this purchase.
@Harry. I only zoom after taking the picture. I even tried to take the same pict with a Samsung S7 and uploaded the 2 pictures on a computer to look at the difference and it is clear there is one as i mentioned in my comment.
their dual camera design makes all others look bad... this is .simply an awesome way to put two cameras on a phone. IMHO

The Sony is only better on paper (assuming you mean the camera), not in real life coniditions. The photos by the XZ Premium are still quite lackluster and no, they don't have "enough time to fix the software until release", because the cheaper XZs sports the _exact_ same camera and comes out in a few weeks.
So in the camera-department the P10 and especially the P10 Plus are much better than the XZ Premium.

The hardware specs are indeed superb - that's why it gets all the hype, but this is also exactly what I say. Hardware specs =/ actual quality.

ok then i hope you showed the pictures on a 100% Colortrue SRGB screen, otherwise your thesis is useless. For sure the pictures will first of all look different on each display and second every camera has strong points and weak points. There is right now no camera that satisfy's everybody in terms of sharpness, colors and whitebalance, zoom etc...
