    We got a delicious recipe for you to try!⠀
    👉 Quick & Easy Healthy Banana Chip Recipe⠀
    ⁣⁣⁣⠀⁣⠀
    INGREDIENTS:
    ○ 3 Bananas
    ○ 1/2 Lemon, juiced
    ○ Ground Cinnamon,
    Steps:
    1. Preheat your oven on 100°C / 250°F and line one (or two if needed) flat baking tray with baking paper or a baking mat.
    2. Cut the Bananas into thin slices (1) and place them on the baking tray. Leave room between each slice.
    3. Juice the Lemon and brush it over each slice. Turn the slices around and brush the other side.
    4. Optional: sprinkle some Ground Cinnamon over the slices, using a small sieve or sifter to avoid lumps.
    5. Bake in the oven for 1 hour or until the Bananas Slices can be flipped over (2). Turn each slice and bake for an additional 30 minutes (3).
    6. Leave to cool down then transfer into an air-tight container.
    Notes
    1. I cut the bananas to a thickness of about 5mm / 0.2 inches.
    You can cut them thicker if preferred but they will need to bake longer. If cut thinner, I have found that they will break more easily.
    2. If the bananas seem to be falling apart / turn too mush when you try to flip them, it means that they are not baked enough. The slices may stick to the baking paper - if it is the case, use a small sharp knife to lift up a side.
    They should then come off easily.
    Also note that the cooler they get, the easier they will be to flip around as they harden.
    3. Bake less or more the second time, depending on how crunchy or how chewy you want your chips to be. Note that they will harden once they cool off.
    This one is a fun one and perfect for any gathering. Its a great way to get your snack fix all while putting a healthy spin on it.😁😁😁⠀
    ⭐️ A nice treat that will keep your waistline happy.⠀⁣⠀

    I tried this but my bananas all stuck, like glue, to the parchment paper. The second time I tried it I put the spices in the pan first. Then added the bananas and brushed them with the lemon juice, and hit them with the cinnamon again. They taste amazing.

    I just found this channel. Instead of cooking could we freeze dry instead

    • @MeredithShirkandSvelteTraining
      @MeredithShirkandSvelteTraining  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Freeze-drying can be an alternative preservation method for certain foods, but it may not always be suitable as a replacement for cooking. 👍While freeze-drying can extend the shelf life of foods and preserve their nutritional content, it typically doesn't cook or alter the flavor of the ingredients in the same way that traditional cooking methods do.😊 Additionally, freeze-drying equipment and processes may not be readily available or practical for everyone. However, freeze-dried ingredients can be used in various recipes, including those shared on this channel, to add texture and flavor. ♥

    I’m wondering if I can put these in my air fryer oven I have?It’s a countertop appliance that also has a dehydrator button.

    • @MeredithShirkandSvelteTraining
      @MeredithShirkandSvelteTraining  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hello, @lorraineschilling2416! Air frying is a better option than deep frying food. However, we recommend baking, steaming, or grilling while on the program. If you absolutely must, it’s ok to air-fry every now and then. 😉💛

  • @cheriedee81
    @cheriedee81 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Could I just use my dehydrator? Or does the oven give it a crisper texture?

    • @MeredithShirkandSvelteTraining
      @MeredithShirkandSvelteTraining  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The dehydrator removes a lot of the nutritional value from the bananas, so I recommend sticking with the oven!

    Can I use something besides turmeric I'm allergic.

    • @MeredithShirkandSvelteTraining
      @MeredithShirkandSvelteTraining  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Absolutely, @ValerieShannon! ❤️ You can sprinkle ground flaxseeds on your banana chips! It can add a nice nutty flavor and a bit of crunch. Plus, flaxseeds are rich in omega-3 fatty acids and fiber, making them a nutritious addition to your snack. 👍 Grind the flaxseeds before sprinkling them on your banana chips to enhance their digestibility and nutrient absorption. Enjoy your tasty and healthy snack! 😁

    Great Recipe but DON'T put them on wax paper, it will disintegrate and melt onto the pan and into the banana. Use parchment paper Coach Mere!
