Tip for all, not sure if this app works or not, but a thing you can do to ensure you don't overspend at the pump, walk up to the pump, before you insert your card press enter, you'll be prompted at most pumps to enter a preset dollar amount of gas to purchase. Enjoy!

I made .67 cents a gallon in my area, I made $10.00 on my first fill up with no promo code. My app wanted a picture of the receipt but that's fine with me. I love it so far.

@@nextlevel5265 sometimes it does, sometimes it doesn’t. if you connected your card, it can usually just see the purchase on your bank statement
First time using it today. Was simple. I DID have to upload my receipt. But that was also simple just make sure you take a clear picture. You are on point with your info.
Is it the price of the gas the same as in the other stores?
I think what they do is that they are just returning money from overcharging or overpricing.
Nothing is free. Someone will have to pay that money returned to users.

If you see a blue shield with what looks like a white lightning bolt in the middle next to the name of the gas station, restaurant, etc, you won’t have to upload a receipt.

Just an FYI for anyone that might not know, some debit cards will place a hold on your account for more than what your gas is when you pay at the pump. They release the funds after a couple days.

I don't like paying at the pump because of that reason plus one of my friends used her card at a pump where someone put another chip reader in and drained her bank account of $1700.

Hi Logan, this sounds like a great card to have for people who drive a lot! I'm going to share this video with my son. His company is already starting to bring employees back in shifts for now. But if all goes well, they will be brought back to the office more on a regular basis in the coming months! He clocks a lot of miles driving, from his home to downtown! As for me, I don't drive a whole lot, especially in the last year. So I don't think it would be a card for me right now. Thanks for this information! It's always good to get free money!! We have the app and they decline a lot of the fuel purchases for all types of reasons. We will be showing how often they refuse it.
I had this issue for GetUpside. I changed my approach. I activate a deal, I go to the gas station and fill up, I leave the gas station and go home, I try to check in when I’m not close to the gas station, the app will ask “are you at this location now?”, I click “no”. Then it ask, “did you already make the purchase?” And I click yes. Then it will take you through the progression of uploading your receipt. You have to make sure you review the changes in the app and click yes for all the fields the app asks for “date and time, gas station address on the receipt, the last 4 digits of the card used, a few more but can’t remember all the fields.
This process takes a few more days and you will always get an email saying it is taking longer than usual but in the end it always goes through. I haven’t had any weird reasoning like before and it has always worked. Im over $26 now in savings.

It was biased with no numerical information. He left out that the app only sends you to the most expensive areas. He uses the app and wants people to sign up under his account. Probably the most dishonest review I’ve seen in a long time.

Hello. So at what point do you have to take a picture of your receipt and upload on app?
In your video you state fill up at pump, do you have to completely fill up your tanks in order to get money back ?
Question, does the rate of Cashback earned at the ratio of gas per gal change with the gas prices or whatever their current promo is?
And what about Company Fuel cards as payment, are those allowed to earn Cashback?

Lately, on some some gas trips, I haven’t been getting my money. The app is saying missing proof of purchase, yet I’m using the credit card I have on file and it’s not saying to upload a receipt. Has anyone been having this problem lately??
Does this also work if you use fuel rewards points for certain gas stations? Example, I enter my phone number to check for fuel discounts. Then, I get gas. Does it also allow if say FRYs fuel is giving me $0.25 off per gallon?

you miss some steps, when clicking update its asking to put the gas price. Also, at my end its saying upload receipt is not saying to click to complete so without uploading receipt the transaction won't go thru..
I have app but they only l show is circle k. Now a did asked why don't they add other gas stations instead circle k.
Just remember, most gas stations freeze up to $100 for up to 24-72 hours if you use a debit card at the pump, they need to make sure you have enough to cover what you get--make sure you have the cash in there, especially for us drivers who fill up very often!
Yep, that’s why best to use credit but I fear late payments so I say prepay it for the monthly usage. Also avoids the debit overdraft fees. 👍🏼

Usually the first time you fill up or use a restaurant they do want you to upload a receipt the first time. After that you just check in

I love how the radio ad says the girl gets $200 to $300 per month. False advertising at its best. There's no way she's buying 800 gallons of gas a month.
Mmmmmmm I could be wrong but I’m pretty sure the last 4 digits are or partially are a check sum to detect mistakes and fraud. It should be pretty easy to reconstruct a complete card number from the first 6 and last 4.
I can rarely connect my phone with the internet, maybe a couple times a week. Can this work by saving the receipt and sending a picture later?

Did it lower your gas like the 76 gas station app it shows the gas prices being lowered before you start pumping
I see on my app that the gas is originally 3.38 but said 3.08 on get up side is the what I pay or is that the value that comes out of getting the cash back
What if you use cash will it still work?
Well funny thing is the 76 gas stations pay out the best in my area and they always require a receipt it takes a few extra days to process. also if it's not deemed to clear picture it'll just reject it.
so I have the 76 app with direct pay linked to my bank account. Say I use get upside and link the debit card that's related to my bank account use it at a gas station with discount will it work?

So I downloaded the app and saw all the gas stations were like $.20 per gallon I used it once and now everything is one penny per gallon what’s up with that?

The other con is PayPal charge's a fee to cash out. Would been better to cash out to Venmo or Cash App or the bank.

Hey Logan...You say that they only ask for limited credit card info . That is NOT true. They are now asking for all the info and even have the photo option to take a pic of the card. Their app is not very user friendly, do you have any idea how to delete a card?
So you said you have to pay at the pump, some gas stations charge $100 when using a card at the pump until it posts 😠, can I use an app to pay for gas at the pump? Shell is a participating gas station near me.
They ask for all your Card numbers but 4 of them, which makes it easier to figure out what just 4 numbers are. So good luck people using it. Your card will get mysterious charges sooner or later.
Well They don't know 11 digits. 4 digits for your card number, 3 digits for your security code and 4 digits for your expiration date.
@@LoudMercury Most sites don't ask for SecCode and its not hard to spam expiration since itz always a 3 to 4 year expiration. But that would get lesser people still. Nothing is free free people

In Arkansas, local chains may have their own loyalty programs that are more generous. Take the time to check them out!
Mobil is one of the more expensive locations so not worth it even with the cash back.. Also Mobil gas stations are pretty few and far in between are least in my area of LA. Great concept but needs more options!

Considering I WORK at a gas station that partakes in it (with doordashing on the side) I've just started using it. Cashed out almost immediately just to test it out when i had around $3. Understandably , some of the $$ got deducted, but now i know what to expect. That was a week ago. Now I'm almost up to $20 again. IN a week. Wish I had started doing it sooner. Get stuff to get me through the shift, and this will help save $$. Just have to be proactive about it. Hopefully it stays that way. Extra $$ set aside in a way to help pay bills or savings in general. The $$ was already getting spent anyway. Building up more on in store purchases than gas (but I also work there, so just get stuff to get me through an 8 hour shift)

I think as long as you get a receipt your good. You have to take a pic of the receipt and upload it. Make sure it’s clear and readable. It’s all within the app.
I have upside. I thought I got it from you some time ago. But not sure. I like it but in my area don't seem to save much. Like 1 to 3 cents a gallon. No grocery stores yet. But can earn more on buying inside the gas stations. I am in Missouri, when I go towards st Louis way I earn more like 10 cents a gallon. I am at over $16 now and will be cashing out soon on PayPal.
Wow, that's very interesting that how much you get back depends on location. Around here it sounds like the offers are in that $0.08 - $0.10 per gallon range so that sounds about right.

I have to fill up my company truck daily. Will I get cash back if I'm filling with the Companys card? I would imagine that would throw some red flags.

Because I use every week and I will when they find out I’m using more they dropped the show discount price then I create another account on the new one it’s giving me 33 cent per gallon but the old one giving 8 cent and it’s the same location

Not really you have to go to the more expensive gas stations where GetUpside is accepted the cheap gas stations don’t participate because everybody goes to them anyway, so your actually spending more money with GetUpside

Last I knew, numbers don't lie to science, and it's actually sad to say they are making money off you by having waste your precious time on their app that tries to take you to the more expensive gas stations, and that algorithm makes more sense because they are making a bigger profit in a much shorter amount time between the gas station taxes, and splitting up the profits. It also makes it easier for them to accumulate wealth because they have 2-4 days to give you that pocket change back.

It isn't worth it. It's only worth it the 1st and 2nd time, they will give you a good deal for the 1st and 2nd time anything after that it isn't worth it.
Now gas stations are charging you 20cents for using a credit card. So instead of charging you the normal 10cents for using your credit card it will charge you the next rate of gas which is 20cents more than 10cents for using your card and most getupside deals only give you 1-20cents max. So even if you get a gas deal that gives you 20cents back you will get 0cents back because they will charge you as if you were getting the 2nd tier of gas which will always be 20cents more because you are using your credit card.
