Let me beat everyone to the punch on one thing: there is no reason to blur a publicly visible license plate. It's an old privacy myth that started years ago when DMV rules were different.
I was wondering about that, especially since they have been blurred in previous RT Lifes.

The speed at which Marcus understood exactly what Burnie wanted, especially with how other couldn't wrap their heads around it, awes me. It was the same as when AH asked for Jeremy's high chair. The man is incredibly quick at getting it.

I normally hate yellow on cars, but the effect makes it worth it. Very cool.
Really cool effect, it actually does look like it just drove out of a Borderlands game. Also, Gus crashing the video in his smart car was perfect.

Started with Burnie Burns' Tesla way back when. Glad to see this is picking up steam again almost a decade later.
I love that Burnie is wearing a SpaceX tshirt while taking his newly customised Tesla. Next step is, Elon Musks should make a cell-shaded rocket. I assume that convincing him wouldn't be too hard considering he takes advertisement recommendations from a 10 year old girl lol.

The announcement was that they're doing a crowdfunding campaign to help Special Olympics athletes get to the winter games in Austria. Also he and Gavin are gonna go to Austria.
It was kinda announced on the podcast. Burnie & Gavin are supporting competitors in the Special Olympics. They have GoFundMe pages to help get the athletes to Austria.
Which podcast? Is it out for non-first members? Because I saw the pancake podcast but don't remember them talking about it

Is it bad that every time I watch a video by RT, I fall more in love with the company? Like the people are amazing and so passionate and the company flourishes from that passion they have for it. Ugh I'm happy I chose to come home from MA and finish college in Austin.

Yes I been wanting to see his Tesla for a long time. He had a few shots of it on other videos. I love Tesla cars. Sadly don't watch the podcast much so didn't know he talked about it.

I don't know, the fact that Marcus (and whomever else helped him with this) makes me believe that people can be perfect. The car looks amazing, the fact there isn't much if anything else like it blows me away as its a very unique yet still aesthetically fantastic.

Hmm... I was underwhelmed by the reveal. I guess it kinda looks cel-shaded, but doesn't really make the illusion for me.
It's the wheels, and the lights. If they'd put cel-shaded hubcaps on there, it would have worked a bit better, imo.
I don't know what it is, but when ever I look at it I just see a normal, 3D, yellow car with black scratches all over it.
You'd have to see it in person to see the effect.

As someone who IS a 'car guy' though... Burnie, you really need to put some after-market rims on that bad boy! The stock ones stand out against the new look for all the wrong reasons.

As an artist I would personally ad a highlight patch to the hood and side mirrors as well but I see what you were going for by making it smooth and more matt instead of highlighting

ShaGoo yeah the rims threw it off for me, but this is honestly an artist's dream. Like animation times 1000. It looks like a cartoon, but it's actually real and drives and I love it.
I work for a graphics company that does vehicle wraps like this. He could do window perf (perforation) for the windows to semi-complete the look. The problem is, window perf is basically the same thing with a bunch of tiny holes in the wrap that makes it so you can look out, but not look in. This makes the perf look like a darker shade than everything else. It still looks really cool, but you have to take the downside of a darker shade.
Ok so I love Teslas and I am a massive fan of rooster teeth in general. Everything they create I enjoy. However is Burnie wearing glasses without lenses in them? If so that is such a colossally douchey thing to do. Still love them regardless but come on man.
Addison Neese Yes he is wearing glasses without out lenses. I forgot which podcast Gus and Burnie talked about this but it was a fairly recent one.
Yeah. He said in a podcast that he wears the glasses without lenses whenever he's on camera so that his eyes don't look weird. Gus does the same I believe. Its a common thing to do.

Burnie said in a podcast a while ago that it helps him focus and concentrate.
Oguz Dogan He originally talked about it years ago, and back then it was because a) he'd always worn glasses before and he felt really weird without them and b) nobody recognized him on-camera
It's incredible seeing how far RT has come. I remember the days when my mates would tell me about this cool halo show that some guys were making. It was nothing special at the time, just really funny. Now Burnie is driving a Tesla and a part owner of an incredible company.
This is still one of my favorite videos on roosterteeth, its just iconic.
I really wanted to like it, and I love the idea of this project, but I hate the end result. The black marks look like scratches, which destroys the whole look, and there's not enough cartoon effect to offset the feeling of looking at a scratched up car.

As a car guy, I can seriously say that this is the kind of originality and creativity that is SO heavily praised in the car enthusiast community. If you put some suspension to drop it a few inches and put some nice wheels on it, people would go absolutely crazy about it at car meets.
I can't wait to see this around town.
