Finally, we get to see Brenden in action!! (Sure he played a little against Iran but didn't get set a ton). He played so well and was so terminal! Also Shoji's blocking was so good today.

Muagatutia is probably US's 2nd best OH2 just behind Taylor Sander on their current roster, probably. I haven't seen much of Jaeschke.
You're probably right. He's been showing off lately on offense and on defense.
He's so consistent.
Honestly, he VASTLY improved from an offensive standpoint. Before, he’s error-prone, blockable, has limited offensive varieties and at times, when successful but not always, it’s out of many attempts. I’m personally not really into his offense, but I understand he’s fielded due to his defense stops, which do not disappoint because he actually delivers. He really has great defense and I concur into it, after showing his defensive consistencies.
It’s been pleasing me now that he’s showing what he can actually and shall do and work on for offensively. He’s vindicating and continues to prove me wrong. His offensive prowess - the power and the variety - is slapping me now (lol), because I can really see it. The distate that I feel before whenever he’s in and given the ball but hardly kills it had turned me distraught is equivalent conversely to how he’s exemplifying offensively now. What an improvement, I must say! His chance for an Olympic slot can never be questioned given how he’s showing now, let alone his calmness and overall court attitude speaks volume, too (ahem TJ Defalco).
Had Aaron not been injured, he’ll still be part of the second stringers for OHs, along with Tom Jaeschke, though I personally prefer the latter would be starting with Taylor Sander as OHs more and has been used a ton of times during the Rio edition. Just my two cents, though.
Muagatutia is so good when it comes to floor defense. He is so consistent.

kawika game play is more on fast set and quick set for middle attacker. He and David smith is very suitable partner. Very Nice

Really impressed with Ensing's ball control and floor defense. He's absolutely got the advantage over Patch in those aspects.

Germany setter is not good at all. In the whole game, he didn't even give one short pass to his players!
These are just the highlights, so you don't get to see every set the German setter Zimmerman made. He played for Perugia last season which is a really good team, but he was only the secondary setter.
Who doesn't like Zimmermanns game has never loved volleyball at all.

the problem with Germany is that there's no threat coming from their Middle Blockers. It's either no play from the middle or it's just that their middle blockers are inconsistent ,slow and ineffective.
Well...not really inefficient..can’t run middle with halfass passing. So I think their #1 struggle is serve receive.
Can we take a moment to say that Brandon Sanders is much better than TJ Defalco?

Idk about that...passing I have defalco and it’s not even close...defense I DEFINITELY will take defalco over Brendan, serve, TJ and setting TJ. 🤷🏽♂️ Brendan had more experience playing I will say. TJ’s attitude and emotions may get the best of him at times but the dude is a baller 🤷🏽♂️

No offense to the setter of Germany but he seriously needs to be less obvious as the which player he's setting to. America had an easy pass reading the sets.
I'm an amateur and was wondering, what specific movements or body position or other things he did to make it really obvious who he was setting to? Would love to know what to look out for.

What does Brendan sander do better than TJ tho? Only skill I see him better is blocking and hitting from the front row.
It's weird that it seem like coach speraw is using this VNL league as USA men's tryout. Not a fan of Patch! Ensing is a better opposite in offense and defense. USA men's team lost to a lot against good teams because they're not using their A team. Its a shame that they got Bronze in 2018 and Silver in 2019 but may not medal this year!
The 2021 Olympics are coming up, so Speraw needs all the experience he can get for his younger players.
