In this stadium, there were spectators cheering at full capacity and cheering with happiness and fun. This is an indicator that volleyball is a very popular sport.

Happy for Canada volleyball program. The improvement on both men and women’s team are very evident. They can fight toe to toe to other highly favored and higher rank teams. If they will continue this, we might see then at the top soon. This will make volleyball games more exciting to watch because it will be more unpredictable.
Micah is the only one who's consistent in the team. I think they need to reconsider changing their Olympic roster or else they will choke again like what happened in Tokyo Olympics. Congrats Canada!
The USA is an aging team. They were so good in years past but I'm afraid time has caught up with many of their core players. They desperately need an infusion of young players. They did bring in a young team in the first week and they were annihilated.

Maar is the heart and soul of this team and is on a mission to take his team deep in the Olympics. Loeppky is a rising young hitter and poised to lead this team in Paris and future Olympics. The future is bright for Canada with lots of talented young players on the roster. Let's go, Canada!!!

Has booing during the serve always been a thing? I heard it on the highlights of another match from this year's VNL and I'm surprised to be hearing it again.
If usa wants to do anything at the Olympics they should use this line up just tweak a few things! Defense all around was subpar especially rightside micah love you but get in the weight room....you have great middles use them more

Same group of people who are whining about the US' loss here were mocking Argebtina and Serbia for losing to the US. Don't just look at the result. Look at the content of the game. Team USA wasn't that bad and they managed to bring the game into deuce. Losing to a worthy opponent isn't all that disappointing.
USA passing is absolutely horrendous. I’ve been watching every game of every team play this year and this game has to be the worst passing by any team. Wow.
VNL should increase from 16 teams to 24 teams, divided into 3 fields per week, selecting teams from the latest world ranking points and the last 5 teams that fall into the rankings to enter the qualifying system for the next year.
I don't like the fast offense. When fully in -system maybe, but the lower outside ball when the bic and middle aren't good options puts Russel at 6'9" with good hops at a disadvantage. Let him see the block and use it. The Canadian block was closing well enough that the outsides don't have options. And Kyle Ensing just isn't a world class opposite. He reminds me of Ben Patch with a worse vertical. No defense and no court vision.
The teams' problems are the same... Obsolete coaches and players who should have retired by now. Both Sparrow and Kirally, don't change their tactical systems, don't bring innovation, the defence, serve and attack are very weak, and they've wasted the entire Olympic cycle betting on players who no longer have the strength to be in the team. USA, needs an urgent renewal.

The federation needs to hire a coach with experience, who knows how to coach young players, has tactical intelligence and isn't a coward. He asked for the chance to hire the former coach of Russia who went on to coach Canada.This technical committee needs to change urgently, because an experienced team that doesn't know how to serve is very serious.

If you watch the game, you notice the US team are not organized well as they should be. They are really good, but they need to step up their defense and offense. They need good diggers. The opposing team is spacing them, but they cannot not manage to pick them ball up.

USA is in trouble, they are going to face Japan and Brazil. Its going to be a tough road for them to rank 8th next week.
