4G 5G outdoor antenna by Bluespot unboxing and close look.
In this video I'm doing an unboxing and close-up look at what comes in the package for the Bluespot 4G 5G antenna and I also do a quick physical comparison with the Bluespot Mini 5G antenna, which is a 5G only antenna.
I will be doing more videos about 4G and 5G antennas and also 4G and 5G routers, so if you're into that type of stuff make sure to sub to the channel and turn on notifications to be notified when I do those videos.

Bluespot: 5G-ready outdoor antenna for UK broadband, 4G + 5G support, cross-polarised, high gain & weatherproof, wall mount.
Bluespot is a highly directional 4G/5G antenna, and you'll need to point it towards your nearest mobile phone tower. We can help with this! Each antenna comes with a free virtual site survey, and advice on where to aim it is included!
Compact, sleek design: 30 x 19 x 7 cm. Comes with a wall mounting kit to mount the antenna flush to a wall. Note, the wall mounting kit and pole mounting kit are not interchangeable

*Important note* for the Three 5G Hub, ZTE MC801A, Huawei 5G CPE Pro and 5GEE routers: these are 5G routers, and will not work with any external antenna in areas with only 4G coverage. if you have one of these routers, ensure you have strong 5G coverage before investing in any external antenna. Modification of the router is also possible; alternatively, consider purchasing a 4G router if there is no 5G coverage in your area. Our support team can advise on alternative options if needed.
45° beam angle in the horizontal and vertical directions. 7.5dBi gain for 4G; 8.5dBi gain on 5G frequencies

Next-generation integrated antenna design is highly sensitive in the new 3400Mhz - 3800Mhz 5G frequency band, as well as 3G and 4G frequencies. Supports the 695 - 960Mhz / 1400Mhz - 1600Mhz / 1700Mhz / 1800Mhz / 2100Mhz - 2600Mhz / 3400Mhz - 3800Mhz bands.
Cross-polarised - twice the speed and reliability compared with single-output models
Easy-to-understand instructions included, and after-sales support provided
5 metres of coaxial cable (permanently attached to the antenna), with SMA connectors for connection to most router types. Includes TS9 adapters; supports routers with SMA or TS9 connectors.
We don't recommend you use this antenna with additional extension cables, as the 4G/5G signal level will be reduced by the cable. However, we can recommend appropriate cable for short extensions if needed.

I am going on the 5g route early 2024 when my ADSL contract ends.
I have set my elderly dad up on 4g internet with smarty - he's only a lite user (120GB a month package £12).
He is very happy, I bought a old Huawei b311 for him - £24 second hand off ebay. Smarty signal is good where he is and he doesn't need external antenna, the speed is acceptable.
I am in 5g fringe area, no 5g indoors but my phone locks onto 5g in the garden (smarty 3) so I will be installing a 5g antenna on the roof.
What network do you use?
Hi david, I have the three 5G broadband hub the zte mc801a can you recommend the best antenna as the town next to us has 5G and it’s possible to pick it up in our town in places but with an antenna I’m hoping it allows a stable connect
Hi Karl. I'm on Three and have a few routers, including the same ZTE you have and the Mini 5G has been the best antenna I've tried so far. I've been dealing with www.Router-Mods.co.uk for the last few months and they're definitely the best place in the UK for all things 4G/5G for antennas and routers, here's the antenna on their website router-mods.co.uk/product/bluespot-mini-compact-5g-antenna-for-3400-3800mhz-5g-nr-n78-n77/ I'm also doing some videos for some of the Router-Mods routers and antennas, so maybe keep an eye out for those videos. The one thing that I would say, though, is that you definitely need direct line of sight to wherever you're pointing the antenna to. If you have a lot of obstructions in-between your antenna and the mast that it's pointing at, you are unlikely to get a signal. I have a WiFi connection at home but the mobile signal is terrible around here. I'm with 02 as it's the only network with an ok signal. I would install a booster if it helped use other networks.
What type of router would you recommend to use with this aerial?
