Nice video and experiment. Can’t wait to see your review of the next one. I’m currently testing a 5G Antenna and so far the paddles are outperforming the “5G Antenna!” Have much more real world testing to do but still eagerly await the dx 5G that will hopefully really make a difference in the rural broadband market.

Interesting to see one of these reviewed, I had been using one for a while and it didn’t seem bad compared to some other cheap eBay ones I’ve used.
I wonder if you could review one of those new bluespot antennas but then they are quite expensive.
I’ll definitely be taking mine apart to play with the distance between the antennas to see if it helps with speeds, a nice little experiment 👍

I watched someone review this a few weeks ago on TH-cam. He took it out of the box, read the instructions and got 50 thousand views in the first week. I would love to know how that works LOL

@@andrewmcneil Well, hidden gems are rare and can only be appreciated by those who truly seeks for them. the knowledge in your channel is way beyond the capacity of those superficial reviewers to comprehend at the first place. please keep going it is just a matter of time. you might want to consider reminding the audience to subscribe and like, otherwise ppl tend to forget. Thank you Andy!

Great Video, thanks Andrew! I'm after a good 4G/5G TS9 connector Antenna - any recommendations please for a small mobile router like a Telstra or ZTE MU5001

"5G capable" doesn't specify which 5G frequencies. If you want an antenna for 5G, know what frequencies you need it to support.

Agreed. This antenna looks to have specifically added 5G band n78, 3300 to 3800MHz, which is a common first-deploy 5G band at the moment.

@@MrPhil604 yeah, 3500MHz is the main 5G band used here in Australia, and the only 5G band supported by many phones including mine.

Can we get the measurements Andy, just like old times?

Hi there could you design and show us an antenna with 3 or more DBI gain that is either omni directional or directional and covers the frequencies between 1729.2mHz - 2119.9mHz with an SWR dip between 1729.2 and 1824.2mHz and another SWR dip between 1929.9 and 2119.9mHz

Reach out to SKY PLC and see if they can send you a reel of twin coaxial cable of the specs you want.

Andrew. Could I ask a question. Totally unrelated to this product. I'm trying to find the best 4G LTE antenna for my static caravan as we are located in the middle of nowhere with really poor phone signal. Would the poynting 4g-xpol-a0001 do a job plugged into my Huawei 5377 box?

Sir ,please show us how solder a thin coaxial cable directly to patch antenna. Is it possible to give direct coaxial cable feed to patch??
