dabeyta303 the story isn’t cringe the song is, I feel a lot of this album was just kind of thrown together without a lot of supervision because he no longer has to answer to a label to tell him what is a good idea and what’s not, I love everything he’s made up until this point. But this album to me just feels hollow, uninspired, and rushed just to keep his fans from hating him for taking too long for more music.

Rittz just released a couple of photos on Facebook that people didn't want him to release, especially at the time they were taken. One shows him passed out on the floor with a no needle beside him I believe and the other is of his face being beat up. For people who have been following Rittz from the beginning and the people around him they already knew some of this. They just didn't know it was this bad.

I feel like Fake Smile was written as a cathartic exercise to get all that dark out, especially with him being clean now. I mean a lot of his lyrics are hard hitting but he's always alluded to that darkness, and it takes balls to be that naked

I am a 52 year old white guy that grew up about 30 miles outside of Detroit. I started watching the free thinkers about 3 months ago. I have always liked good music no matter the type. If it is good it is good. Classic rock will always be my base that is close to my heart. I am also old school hip hop like Suger Hill Gang, Run DMC, Grand Master Flash, ect. Auto tune killed rap for me in the 90's. You guys mentioned this reminded you of twista, who I like also, but what I loved was the scratching it took me right back to High School in the 80's.

I don't know if underrated is the right word because he has a pretty large fanbase but I do think he's very underappreciated in Hip Hop. IMO, Rittz is one of the best rappers on earth because of how he shatters the stereotypes of rappers having impeccable flows while lacking substance. His flow and delivery is out of this world ON TOP of the amazing production but in the midst of it, he's saying a lot of slick shit that's in context with the entire song and THAT'S impressive. He's truly an Elite who hasn't gotten his proper respect. Awesome reaction as always!

Rittz started his own label CNT. Also if you listen to his discography and all his records with Strange, he talks about his life a lot. A lot of real shit gentlemen, this is only one track that dives into his personal life. So your very right in the fact that he can write about it thru multiple albums, because he already has! Definitely recommend looking more into Rittz! Huge fan of the man along with Strange Music. Always hated that he left the label, but this opens up some insight to what was going on!
So glad he's back. I left midset when he was in Detroit. Lil King G dropped out of the tour. He showed love for the shelter and City. He was telling stories and shit. Fuckkkked up. It ended up being a shit Christmas present!! Everyone loves a comeback story let's get it.
