It's so interesting to see all the different reactions to the book if not for anything else the writer really know how to shake up like ten different fandoms at once lol
I tend to dislike romance books but, because this was my niche of dragons/dragonriders and fairly well written easy to follow fantasy world and more new adult I liked it way more because of that... I think next book the focus should be 75% on the dragons as they are the real gold of the story.
I view fourth wing as intro fantasy lite which I see as a neutral thing I think folks who like jade city,the Witcher,red rising,mistborn,the hobbit etc... Will have very mixed reactions too it. It def falls more in line with hunger games, divergent,how to train your dragon,eragon, Percy Jackson but, make it new adult based
I’d agree! It’s a great intro to fantasy book. And it’s funny you mention Divergent because every time I read about the gauntlet that the characters completed in fourth wing, I kept thinking of Dauntless from Divergent 😆

Lol very true! I wasn’t that impressed with how it ended and thought it was a bit too abrupt of a cliff hanger
