You're right about the wipers... when I was a little kid in the early 1960's my dad fixed the wipers on our 57 Chevy and we had the only one that had the wipers going the same direction instead of together at the center, then apart. Don't know how he did that. Still remember it from then.
Got to get pink voltwagon and black Mercedes. They odor you. Josh you did good. I am in transition trying to feel comfortable finding him. I have done it my way forever. What gets a guy over the hump to feel comfortable in a uncomfortable world. Changes hurt I am uncomfortable. I did it my own way. How do you take that first step.
YES! we need station wagons back in our lives! One of the biggest mistakes America ever made was stopping production of the wagon! It truly saddens me that you can't go to the car lot and pick one up for the family anymore😭
Maybe one day he'll come revive my 87 Buick estate bout the only guy I would sale it to. When he broke down in the RV I was about ready to get her started drive to South Dakota and trading for the motorcycle just temporarily so he could continue on and come back to the RV. SleeperDude and family! On the road again. Tucked together in The Z7. When you take your family. A long test drive will show those things that needed more attention. Braking down along the road. Can be a little unsafe. Continue to put family safety first. I just love this TH-cam Channel. It's the 💣! Just stay the way you all are. Now on with the Show. Shawn.
The zip tie holding the wiper together brought back so many memories. My friend had a 84 camaro and there were body panels held on by zip ties. 🤣 Great trip guys!
Last time I had a linkage failure like that on the wipers, I tore part out a plastic sack and wrapped that round the spike the arm pushed onto before reseating the arm. It worked for a few days until the new linkage arrived
My oldest sister bought a brand new 1989 mustang GT, back in the end of 1988! Beautiful freaking car, and actually pretty dang gone fun to drive for it to only have 248HP from the factory. Now Georgia State Patrol had them some back then, that were running around with a SSP that were a bit more aggressive. Great video thanks for sharing. Alternator was probably overcharging, wich is why the dummy light quit flashing whenever you turned on your headlights.

This video was great. Those wipers....I was cracking up. Y'all definitely make a good team. I was raised and still live near Winston-Salem NC, the home off Krispy Kreme doughnuts. They are the best ever. My best friend and I will be in Pigeon forge in a few weeks. Wish we could have met you. Love your family and videos. God bless you.
The flooding issue. The boiling point of ethanol gas is173 degrees and the boiling point of non ethanol gas is over 300 degrees. When you stop the car(at Hardy's for example) the heat from the engine is boiling the fuel in the bowl and forcing it into the cylinders. So when you are done eating and try to start the car, it is flooded. Put a 3/4 or 1 inch phenolic spacer under the carb to isolate it from the engine heat. A lot of pre Ethanol vehicles have this issue. My 1969 F100 was doing this and the phenolic spacer fixed it.
Awesome family, awesome road trip. You talk about the perfect family sedan and your dad is driving one! The Crown Victoria/Grand Marquis/Town Car is the last of the great American sedans. I have an 08 Crown Vic LX (not an X-cop car) that I use mainly for road trips. And there are still plenty of them around. They're not just for racing at Cletus and Cars events. I think you need to get one!

@@jeremybreinig4782 Thats unfortunately true. With a select few you might get lucky and could pull off a 40 year stretch, but it would be a very very select few.

I did a trip from Melbourne to Adelaide in a mate's '63 Holden which was built from parts found in paddocks and had to string up the wipers to get them to work. Hilariously good times.
Glad y'all had fun and no issues! Making memories is what it's all about! Money is no object when it comes to kiddos and grandbabies! Thanks for the ride along!
When I was in the army, we went north of Fairbanks Alaska in a convoy in the winter. It was about -30 in 1977. We were sleeping in tents with Yukon stoves. Me and another spec 4, were driving the 5 ton wrecker at the back of the convoy. All the vehicles from 1/4 ton m151 jeeps to 5 ton tractors with 5000 gallons tankers full of jp4 were driving on icy mountain roads. The wreckers heater fuel line was connected to the fuel line for the fuel injector pump. So if we turned on the heater, the engine would starve for fuel and die. The windshield would ice up, we was using a C ration can to scrap the ice. Right behind the cab was an acetylene torch. We passed the torch through the sliding back window and lit it. It got too hot even on low with the Windows open. We made it back to Ft. Richardson like that. There's much more to the story, but I would have to write a book.
What a good family 👪. Well behaved smart kids. 👏 thanks for taking me to Tennessee with you. I enjoyed the trip. Go buy that mark 7 now lol. Im a lincoln and packard guy.
Fixing a windshield wiper with a charging cord from a cell phone lol Now I have seen it all. Tell your wifey she looks beautiful without makeup. Looks like you had a lot of fun and the car really didn't break down because of the engine so it really was a good trip. Thanks for taking us along.

Love Pigeon Forge. Cades Cove is beautiful too. So much wildlife to see. Take the kids there around Thanksgiving and you'll see deer in huge herds and the bucks in rut butting heads etc. the deer will eat right out of your hands even in the car. There's a really old church there and a nice old 2 story log cabin. And there's all the stuff in town of course. Slick track gokarts, laser tag, bungie jumping, that skydiving simulator, helicopter rides .
Great episode! I had a '63 Rambler with lousy rings, so I had to reach under the dash and work the wipers by hand 😂 but your usb charge cord seasaw takes the cake 🎂
All those cars & trucks from a bygone time - fantastic!! The whole Sleeperdude family are doing great things reviving the old cars. Old does not mean obsolete and ready for the crushers, it means quality that was meant to last! The current crop of new vehicles will never last as long as the old cars, the new cars are made for a dollar, with built-in obsolescence. Keep up the good work, fantastic videos and enjoying life 👍.

Just watched this video. Very entertaining! Great family time and some awesome cars!

Fixing a windshield wiper with a charging cord from a cell phone lol Now I have seen it all. Tell your wifey she looks beautiful without makeup. Looks like you had a lot of fun and the car really didn't break down because of the engine so it really was a good trip. Thanks for taking us along.
Thank you I’m glad you liked it
Great video and workout for the Mercury. Do all the necessary repairs and make it nice and stock. It's got a nice design.

I got Hardees breakfast for the first time in about 15 years this week, and it was AMAZING!! I'm embarrassed to admit their gravy is better than my momma's! Y'all need to be sponsored by Hardee's breakfast 🤣❤️
Like the mkvii lsc as well. Miss living near Krispy Kreme nothing better than the hot and fresh light. Good video and great ending.
Just got our sleeper dude swag today. Love it. Thank y'all

Greetings from CD Obregón Sonora Mexico
many blessings to the whole family
I love your videos and more for the support you have from your children and your wife 🙏
I really enjoy ALL your videos and look forward to the next one BUT this one was super special! 3 generations going to the same event at the same time. Keep the videos coming!!
I wish all families were as loving and moral as your family!
That’s awesome thank you
Great episode! I had a '63 Rambler with lousy rings, so I had to reach under the dash and work the wipers by hand 😂 but your usb charge cord seasaw takes the cake 🎂
Love that 'Cuda w/6!
That’s funny
All those cars & trucks from a bygone time - fantastic!! The whole Sleeperdude family are doing great things reviving the old cars. Old does not mean obsolete and ready for the crushers, it means quality that was meant to last! The current crop of new vehicles will never last as long as the old cars, the new cars are made for a dollar, with built-in obsolescence. Keep up the good work, fantastic videos and enjoying life 👍.
Thank you we appreciate it
