    what frustrates me so much about pharmacy (coming from a third year student of it, of a five year program) is that considering how much science you study you use so little of it in the actual job, and it's next to impossible to get a more 'scientific' job as a pharmacist, even making medications...

    Also rude snooty customers who look at us like we’re shop keepers and give the death stare if you’re in middle of checking a 20 item script but have to drop it all to serve their highness. When I worked as a relief for boots, I was stood at the counter for over an hour constantly selling packets of tissues and shampoos, wasn’t even able to check any medication! And these store managers who are basically shop assistants with a promo who tell us we have to do 6 murs a day even if they are dementia patients and not allowed to drink water in dispensary 🙄

    hey I was wondering if you had any advice for someone who has to resit the whole year because they failed a module in pharmacy. I am not sure what to do for the entire year, given that I have to just resit one module. Any advice would be great. Thank you. Also what i hate about studying MPHARM is the whole resit a year if you fail instead of carrying it forward to the next year.

    • @KOREginAPharmacist
      @KOREginAPharmacist  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey, thanks for your question! i would say not to worry because doing one more year really doesn't make a difference in the grand scheme of things...Also, it's lucky that you have the chance, no?! In King's if you failed your resit you were out (as in - didn't matter if it was your third or fourth year, you were out of pharmacy) so I think it is fine! It's hella annoying yes, but at the end of the day you will DEFINITELY pass the year the second time round so overall nothing to be worried about! From Regina :)

    I have been in pharmacy for 16 years. I regret going into this field. If you are someone considering it, take into consideration your own mental health first. You will be affected by the lack of respect and missunderstanding that surrounds your job. This is especialy apparent in community pharmacy.
