    Out of your income £450 pcm for a car you're never going to own without forking out a shedload is OTT. I paid ~£2300 for a RAV4 Toyota, 02 reg. 33 mpg (petrol) Road fund and Insurance ~£50 pcm, annual service & MOT ~£250. I do 10,000 m/yr. Go figure. Hope you enjoy your career in Pharmacy.

    • @TeaWithTez
      @TeaWithTez  3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      this is true! i do spend too much on the car and I can anticipate it being a problem in the future should I want to buy a house, for example. Your car sounds practical and sufficient for its use and I hope to get a more sustainable car when I give this one back. Pharmacy is really enjoyable for me at the moment and I hope it stays that way :)

    This is why i couldnt do hospital pharmacy , the 3 outpatient pharmacies where i locum at the permanent pharmacists are on usually 50k with 3 years post qualification in community.
    you should consider locuming in community and hospital outpatients, judging by your accent you dont sound like oure from london so you area wont be saturated and dont mind driving up to 1 hour max
    ive been qualified for about 1 year and a month and have been locuming from day 1 and made £65k and i had 2 months off this year, you have a limited company meaning you also pay 20% tax instead of the 35-40% that clears you account 😪 lol
    if you need any tips feel free to ask regarding locuming i wrote a mini guide for some of my pre reg friends who will soon qualify

      To be honest even though I’d love to earn more money, I am super lazy and can not imagine commuting for two hours total each day at the moment.
      However, should I change my mind, I will definitely get in touch for the guide because clearly I’m doing something wrong 😅

      Hi! Thank you so much. It really depends on where you’re planning on working because hospital pharmacies and some community pharmacies have a standard application.
      Also do you need to convert your qualification in which case the ‘gphc’ website will be the best bet in terms of what you need to do. Hopefully that helps
