The reason why XUV & Scorpio N did not get a sliding row were, their engineering started before 2019 (in principle). They were engineered to keep the second row seats fixed and worked on the safety for the second row adults. GNCAP will test it with the second row with the most closest position to the front, this may lead to slight compromise to the safety scores. May be since they had an MPV (Marazzo) in their cards with sliding rows, they did not wanted to hamper the USP of it.

However if a person is considering any of these cars can enjoy the car, features & the boot space. But the 3rd row seating is a compromise. It is just for kids/ for short rides. This really arises a question whether these are 6 or 7 seater cars. As it is the buyer's choice of selection, these cars may be used as 5 seater or occasionally 7 seater. I guess the upcoming Nissan X-Trail would definitely be worth the package.

Xuv700 le third row le okandhu travel pana mudiyadhu ah? Utter nonsense… you could just say we can’t travel for hours continuously sitting in third row. As a group of 6 we travelled to and from Chennai to Goa and the other 7th seat was folded to keep the luggage’s. It was a quite comfortable journey and I’m exactly 6 feet height!
