Last I checked, most of the Gundam series are NOT set in the same universe. That's why they have different designations like Universal Century (UC, the main universe featuring Amuro, Char et al), Correct Century, the real-world Anno Domini (AD) timeframe etc. There is, however, apparently some insinuation in Turn-A Gundam that they ARE all in the same universe, though I can only see that being the case with either a truly colossal timespan and humanity being reset many, many times, or multiple Earths in different parts of the universe. If this has been expanded upon in the last few years I'd love to be brought up to speed, but as far as I know, if the calendar system has a different name, it's a separate, self-contained universe.
That's a very nice list. Speaking of Mcha anime that combats aliens, WHERE is UFO ROBO GRENDIZER? And there is a reboot that has just been released this Friday internationally of it called GRENDIZER U.

Ive watched several Gundam shows and movies my favorite Gundam is Mobile suit Gundam Gundam zeta Gundam counter attack Gundam victory Gundam g Gundam Gundam Wing classic mobile suit Gundam 08th Gundam seed and seed dystany Gundam 00 Gundam thunderbolt and Gundam iron blooded orphans are my favorite out of Gundam
This salted me in the same way when people use mecha and exo suits interchangeably. The title is "Top 11 Space Mecha Anime" some of these mech animes never even made it to space and some of them are giant cyborg humans/Coral that people just happen to ride. If we go by some of these loose rules "Attack on Titan" is a Mecha anime just thinking about it makes my eyes bleed.
