- A space adventure filled with romance and courage. Jaspion, a galactic wild boy who has been brought up by space animals since he was bereaved by his parents in his infancy. He gallantly fights against huge monstrous beasts and atrocious aliens who disturb the peace of space.
Medes is the 18th planet of the Galactic system. Beautiful and peaceful. A young man is cheerfully playing with space animals. It is Jaspion.
Here comes flying Satangos, an evil god beast from outer space. Satangos is a creature who can be called the king of all the monstrous beasts in space, having the magical power of waking up the monstrous beasts sleeping in the depth of the underground and turning them into atrocious wild beasts. All the underground wild beasts of the Planet Medes are awakened by Satangos, bit the Space animals on earth to death. Jaspion is enraged and criesbitterly for he has lost his loving animals.
Jaspion rises against Satangos. He transforms a depot ship given by Edjin, the only scientist of the planet into a gigantic fighting robot and fearlessly confronts the monstrous beasts.
Jaspion was a massive hit in Brazil in the 80's ! Aired daily starting in 88 , it had been an icon for children and teens for years on... I am in my forty's but i remember fond of this time. Despite we are from Brqzil this hero had become part of my generation and we could sing theirs songs off by heart! Basically EVERY BRAZILIAN around 40's now, know exactly what Jaspion represents!!! I was 6 to 7 years old when Jaspion was broadcast for the first time in Brazil in 1988. For me, it was the best and the most memorable of all the Japanese series I watched. It's a milestone for a generation that is more or less in my age. EVERYONE of my generation watched Jaspion.
For me it is the best tokusatsu for having a very charismatic character and also a very intelligent story, a mix of mysticism and Judeo-Christian religion.

Jaspion pilots a flying tank that becomes a jet that becomes a motorbike. Not only that but he also flys a spaceship that becomes a giant robot to fight giant Darth Vader.
Star Wars married to Transformers, and they had kids. It ain't getting any more awesome than this. It's the epitome of awesoness.
Along with Gavan, Sharivan, Spielvan, Tokkei Winspector & Janperson, this is one of the best instalments of Metal heroes series. 👍
