you might be opening your rib cage when you’re turning, if you think about your upper body as a cell phone, because a cell phone doesn’t bend that’s how your upper body should be, I hope this makes sense 😂
here’s another tip she forgot to mention: keep you’re hips down. when you lift your leg you’re hip can go up to make it easier for you to turn and lift your leg, but keep your hips down. you just how to try a couple times then you’ll get used to having your hips down and your turn will also be easier ❤️

ive been dancing for a long time but i had to stop for a while due to foot injuries (over a year) and lost almost everything i could do. because of this i got out of it. i even quit doing ballet because of it. i’ve always wanted to go on pointe but i just didn’t think it was worth it. then i recently saw the nutcracker (i’ve seen it millions of times but i haven’t gone since the injuries) and it just gave me so much motivation. so thank you!
Mhd111 Mhd you fall off of releve because your ankles aren't strong enough to continue turning! if you walk around on releve and do calf raises it'll strengthen your ankles and you'll be a lie to turn in no time:)
i’m the only 12 year old in the 13-14ish age group, there’s even a 15 year old in there and, i can do one really bad second turn without falling over, thank you so muchhh❤️
you have to have like dry feet if that makes sense😂 I’m a dancer and i find it hard when i moisturize my feet before dance or if they’re sweaty i can’t turn abs it feels exactly how you explained it. I like to make sure i don’t wear any footwear before i turn barefoot so that my feet stay dry and easier to turn on. Just helps for me but i hope this helped you too!
Does it matter whether you do fouettés on your left leg or right leg in dance? I know it’s good to be sort of equal on both sides, but I turn on my right leg, will that matter if I start dance?
You have to be close to or have the splits for a leg lift or spin. I recommend Anna Mcnulty she helped me get into acro and dance with her stretches. Before I could just do a cartwheel now I can do aerial, à la seconde turns, chin stand, front and back walkover and more I really recommend her stretch challenges
I’m not a REAL dancer but once it’s safe and we’re out of quarantine ima take a dance class and if I’m gonna I need to learn these, so I’m practicing my double pirouettes and um yea I hope I can get my a le seconde turns soon :(

I can’t go en Releve when I do it. Like I keep trying to turn on my heel and when I try to go on Releve, I fall. I also keep bouncing around when I do this and everyone makes it look so easy and I really want to dance but if I can’t do this, why bother

It takes time to get it up there, as long as you're using good technique, it'll get up there eventually. You just need to strengthen your leg muscles

It is important to keep both legs even, but it's not going to really affect your dancing until you get to advanced levels
