Glad you got your solar fixed. Now you've got to figure out why that wire burnt in the first place. I did our complete solar install myself, mainly because I'm cheap but as a benefit of knowing how everything is built I am able to troubleshoot any issues more quickly. We racked 4,400 watts on the roof and another 620 on a liftable side array to give us over 5kw of solar which charges 23.5kwh of batteries (the equivalent of 18, 100ah Battleborns) so we are able to run everything in our coach just like we were plugged into a power pole at a RV park. We installed an EG-4 high efficiency mini split heat pump on the back which we can run 24/7 if needed providing both heat and A/C using 1/3 the power of the Furrion rooftop A/C we have up front. This means we never have to pay for a FHU campsite anymore. In fact, it's been 2 years since we've had to run our generator, though we live entirely off grid. We wired our rooftop array of 8, 550w panels in series to up the voltage thus reducing the current going through the wires, so they are less likely to get hot, making the system much more efficient too. BTW we stayed in a little RV park called the Kansas Country Inn, in Oakley, KS that had campsites where 2 RVs would fit in one site like the park you stayed at in Billings. That's the only one I've seen like that so far. Yes, campgrounds should give you a break on the price if major amenities are down. I'm in an RV park in NC right now, staying in a no hook-up site for only $100/month, saving us $500/mo. off their normal $600/mo. FHU prices. It's like boondocking, but with access to the amenities as the dump station is only 50 yards away which makes it super convenient.
We have so many things to say about this video!! 😂 & Dave we all know you are a bad influence!! Love you guys!! And we don't think a campground should charged full price when the amenities are closed or not working & especially the hot tub 🙌
I would agree that if not all of the amenities are available there should a discount. Here in Nebraska the state parks have a reduced rate for the off season.
I stayed at that KoA 20 years ago. It was nice. I would think a discount is in order. I also agree with your comment to move over for stopped road side vehicles. I was running south out of Duluth on 35 one Sunday night and blew a tire. I fixed like a Nascar guy but it was scary. If you have ever been passed closely by a vehicle going 70+ MPH you will understand. If not, please move over. Thank you!! Take care.
I have two 3500 watt Predator generators and a parallel cable so I can do 50 amp. I have 400 watts of solar and 4 six volt batteries but they are getting 5 years old. I also installed a soft start capacitor for the A/C unit.
We went to an RV park one time that had those sites that face each other. We opened our door up, and their dog came charging in our camper. Yikes. See you soon.
Since, like you guys, we seldom stay at any RV parks, the exorbitant prices of the company RV parks, like KOAs, should definitely be less off season. But they won't! And that's why we don't stay at them.
Come on Dave, how about a "free beer sign!"
And yes, off season and without amenities should result in lower costs! Safe travels guys!
SOLD!!! 🤣
lol!!! 🍻
You're right. No full price if ammenities are not all available. Love you guys!!! Thanks!
Agreed! Thanks Andrew!!! 😀😀
Ah, the Yellowstone River RV Park. We have stayed there several times on our treks between Alaska and Nebraska.
It’s a nice stop off. Safe travels! 😀😀
Always enjoyable to watch your videos, unexpected charges are always disappointing, keep up the good videos
Thank you Clay!! 😀😀
Oh yes we are out there! ThomyT and lauren
Yes!! 😀😀

I would have to agree with you! We were able to install better connectors, which was part of the problem. 😀😀

I truly am a bad influence. 🤣😜
Y'all have fun!
You too!! 😀😀

That makes complete sense.
Lol, I keep my house at 83° in the summer. Then again I live in Arizona and that's cool when you come inside from 115° outside.
115? Holy smokes! 😳
WE'RE STILL OUT HERE. CURRENTLY IN SAN ANGELO TX. HEADING BACK TO NEVADA IN A FEW WEEKS.
Safe travels!!!! 😀😀🚎
Another amazing client transformation.
Thanks Tim! 😀
I would think a KOA should give you a little discount mainly because the pool was out of service. That’s a big plus people pay extra for.
Hi Kevin. It was actually just a private park. I think that passing the KOA sign threw people off. Still though. Hope you are well!
No doubt..... should be a discount of some sort!
Yes!! 😀😀
I always love you video thanks so much !
Thanks Jeff!!! 😀😀

Agreed! I have driven that road countless times and it can get busy. Especially on a Sunday afternoon.
I travel a lot with my son and we try to get the buddy sites. That are nice when you can get them and there are two of you
That makes sense! 😀😀

Hi from Maine
Hello!!! 😀😀
Go somewhere entertaining, show your viewers something!!❤
We were zipping to get to our friends and our show. 😀😀
Yes a discount would be nice but perhaps they average out costs. Just an optimistic thought.
That's a good point!
Yupp I'm out there. oops , out here. Lol
lol! It’s a great life!
We went to an RV park one time that had those sites that face each other. We opened our door up, and their dog came charging in our camper. Yikes. See you soon.
Crazy! lol!
No they shouldn’t charge when all the amenities aren’t available!!
Six hours, what a whimp. Lol. How about 11 hours driving 18wheeler? Did it day day out for years. Love Montana.
Holy crap! That’s crazy!! 😳😀
No, they should not! But they can, so likely they will!
Bro it's negative 3 in America 🇺🇸??
No, they shouldn’t charge you full price. That’s why they should have a shoulder season price.
Yes!
hello
Hi!! 😀😀
I don't stay at KOA unless it is as a last resort. They are way over priced IMHO.
KUTGW
No

No they shouldn’t charge us if everything is not available.
Agreed!
your videos are to old
We’re working on catching up. 😀😀
So
