Thanks for reviewing this stove. I have used an Esbit stove for years and it is slowly wearing out. I made wind breaks for mine from an old cake pan and they work well. That said, I love the fold up ones in the Lotus. I also like that is weighs less than the classic stove. It seems that the older l get the more my knees demand ultralight gear, lol. Unfortunately, it is just to pricey.

If you modify the BCB stove, you can pair it with an alcohol burner as a multi-fuel option. I use it with the Evernew titanium burner with cross plates. All fits together niceless, no wobble, little chance of you cup/pot falling off. Interested to see if you could pair this with the Boundless voyage burner (a bit shorter than the Evernew). Thank you for sharing, might have to pick one of these up soon.

I was close in my guess. It's a nice gimmick for the ultra light gram counters. I've used the cheaper versions of these with the solid fuel blocks and I'm not a big fan to be honest. AUD$44.... take my money! I have money to burn, gimme one! OK, I'm taking the urine. 73g versus 120g for my $11 (5 GBP) Hexie stove....that's a lot for a 47g saving. Gel is an expensive fuel compared to hexie tablets, at least here in Australia. I like my hexie stove, used it for years in the army. Now I mostly use a titanium alcohol unit inside a gasifier siphon stove. That gel spillage would be lethal here for causing bushfires. Great review.
