Bushbox should be paying you, showing off their workmanship for the extremely rugged stove. Being able to beat the stove and it will still function as it was intended to. Plus, they should send you another two for free. One for you and one for a lucky giveaway 😂
I have an Ember Lite stove and I use the same way you do. I’ve had it for years and it works fine. I like it for when campfires aren’t allowed or the area is not suitable for a big fire. Great review. See you on the next one.
This is a fine simple stove. You share what many of us have experienced. I am a slow-feeder because that is how it works best. Later in the evening, a bit larger sticks or batoned pieces work for warmth and atmosphere.
They are great to use as a firepit, a good all round cooking stove. Can use wood, charcoal or a spirit burner all work great in them. You do get a bit of warping but not too much.
That stove has been a faithful servant , still going strong and worth every penny. I have a honey stove. You have to assemble it before use, but you can use wood or the trangia plate. Whatever stove you choose, if you can make a brew or knock up a scran, it was the right choice. Nice video mate 👍
That is amazing how that tender box held up. Love your content. I will never use a firebox and yet I was interested in your demonstration. I don't understand why you don't have a gazillion subscribers.
Had mine (Titanium LF) a couple of years with the little extra shelf. I boil water on it, fry on it and use it as a portable fire pit for some warmth and atmosphere. Really pleased with it. I've used it with several alcohol burners with good results too.
Great box .great as a mini barbecue as well as frying and boiling ,but if it's wet around ,you need to take some wood with you .That's the only downfall that I have experienced .God bless you and your family and happy camping 🏕 😀 😊 🙏. Lee
Nice video and I do enjoy your videos. I like the content and I enjoy listening to the way you enunciate your words. This video appealed to me because I have a lot of things (gear) in my possession that I just had to have but never use. I think I enjoyed things more when they were harder to come by. Glad to see you're not giving up on an item just because it's got some miles on it. I have a firebox stove that's a great piece of kit. I mainly use it as a chimney for starting briquettes. If need be I'm sure it serve me well as a stove; some day?
Ive got the firebox XL. Had it for years and still pukka. I cut up 5 tesco delivery boxes worth of kindling on the chop saw to perfect size. I only get out camping 3 or 4 times a year now so i will cook breakfast on the garden with this regular and meals on the fire pit weekly , next best thing lol.

Keep in mine you have to oil it every once in a while which helps keep it from sticking, but in general its a bomb proof design. Had mine for 7yrs now and it's still working like a juggernaut!
Hi Dan. These stoves are bomb proof. They are meant to be used and they are bound to warp slightly. Bearing in mind they are built to be used in camping and survival instances. Not to look ‘pretty’. All the best.👍🏾🇬🇧
I brought a fire box through Scott's link for the scouts jamboree fund. Used it with the Lomo Watersports tripod to make the best tasting bacon butties ever. Then kept topping it up through the night whilst I read my book! I have to get one of yours for the food bank charity. Stay safe Dan atvb 👍🦊
I have one of the cheaper knock offs.. 5 years and still going strong. Used it for cooking or a firepit. Used everything from Spirit burners too wood too gels too charcoal and just works. Love the damn thing... This year going to get the xl version...
Got a few cheap ones not the best but still working as they should I like you load them up like a fire pit when I want to relax by the fire , plus ivgot one of your stoves that's had a bit of hammer and is holding up like new just a bit of color change is all
That's why i bought a Firebox Gen2. They are made to put a "bangin" big fire in without all that warping or voiding the warranty. You can also make a wee little fire as well. Firebox all the way. 😅
hi dan, i love my bushbox but i also absolutely love using your stove too! it's easy to assemble, great airflow and rock solid once it's up and running. ok, the bushbox is slightly more flexible in that you can use the grill plates and even steel tent pegs pushed through to hold various pots etc. however i don't see why you can't modify your stove to have similar features. many thanks and best regards.
In my experience, doesn't matter what kinda of wood stove you have, making a sweedish torch to fit inside is usually the best choice, burns extremely well, no maintenance, central heat for cooking or boiling fast. If you wanna do steaks or the likes after boiling, drop in some thick chunky 2x2 inch cuts of a local hardwood and pull the coals up from the sweedish left overs...
Bought one of those cheap £10 Lixada clip together firebox stoves just to play with. It's been abused to hell, everything from cooking with some kindling, to a full blown firepit. Every single panel is warped, it's filthy and rusty..... but still goes together no problem and works as it should. I wouldn't say you use yours wrong, at the end of the day it's a box designed to have a fire in. Which is exactly what you do.
Great video! The BUSHBOX ESSENTIALS STOVE does seem like a fantastic item for wild camping or outdoor cooking. Your question about its durability after 7 years of use with the Bushbox XL is quite insightful. By the way, have you ever tried using a mini chainsaw for your outdoor adventures? It can be incredibly helpful for gathering firewood and preparing your camp setup efficiently. I'd love to hear your thoughts on incorporating it into your outdoor gear.
Thought I hadn't seen you for a while! for some reason I'd been unsubscribed! not the only channel either, been removed from about 20! Got some catching up to do :P
Got a cheap chinese made knockoff... it's a little heavier but does the job... cost me about £20 with delivery... no way would I pay so much for a titanium one.. I don't take it up the mountains, only to the woods ... so the one I have does all I need..Take care out there.
I have the XL ti version Iknow its expensive but it will cut the weight down by around 50% wich is nice when you dont own a car and have to carry ur gear from the moment you walk out the door and back again
Phew. Titanium one in the link - £179. A lot of dough. I'll watch a few reviews before taking the plunge or at least see if there's anywhere chesper. (?)

I just make an even better one .7 quid for a roll of khantal wire and whatever stainless Steel tube. Its movable with the fire very hot because of the low conductivity of khantal wire. Once its burnt down place it flat for simmering .raise up for flat out. th-cam.com/users/shortsg_m2LNOg5zA?feature=shared

£80 for the titanium one? Fk that, they're taking the pss.
