Grandma 76 here, Yes we have a in fact two rugs like you are talking about, I don't use ANY spinning brush on them. I still use an upright vac. And I use my furniture attachment and it works just great because it has good air suction. I remember the 80's really well my first daughter graduated high school and moved to Arizona in first new car a Ford EXP. Sports car. She was so happy and I was holding back the tears my first baby was moving so far away, we lived in Michigan. But her bro. Traveled with her, no cell phones back then. The anxiety of being a parent. Lol to all 😊
Hi Lisa! I love the makeup! You look so glam! I know what you mean after trying so many new things, there’s some products that you just go back to because they’re tried and true. I would love to see a video about your OG products. I’d forgotten about the add a bead necklaces and the wide herringbones. I’m sure mine are in a box somewhere. I’ve had a shag area rug for several years. You can vacuum it, but you can’t use a power head on it. It’s been cleaned a few times and still looks great. My son has one too that has held up well with small children running around.
I have a creamy white shag area rug from Target or Walmart, can't remember. I just set the vacuum on high pile . i've even had my husband pressure wash it outside to clean it and it holds up fine!
Those are lovely brushes but I’ve never been able to use a foundation brush cause I have dry skin and use RetinA, the buffing cause the flakes to come up. Your makeup is perfection today as always.😘
Wow! So gorgeous, Lisa! Like always. The “90’s” look sure suits you. I remember my mom being so excited to get Chanel Vamp (we’re in Iowa, wasn’t that easy back then!). It was sooo radical! Lol. She let me use it too & I was probably in 13-14? I appreciate now how on top of trends she must’ve been.
Those Ines shoes look so amazing! I need to check if they are delivering overseas. I have tried so many new foundations nowadays and I just realised yesterday how much I still love my good old Chanel foundation, it’s not too dewy, not too matte. Stephanie Nicol is swearing by the Hot Tools curling irons and hair stuff, I think her mum used to work for them.
I have one of those rugs in my living room and was worried about the same thing. I found what works best is the vacuum I keep in my kitchen to clean my floors. It's a combo dust buster that looks like a stick vacuum. It doesn't have the rotating brushes so nothing gets caught. Mine is a bissel
Oh I can't wait to see your video of all your favorites old & new. Especially lipglosses. I'd also like to know what your favorite leave-in hair heat protectant products are of all the ones you have.
Would you discuss favorite false lashes and accessories? Marnie’s discussion on the topic peaked my interest and started trying them. I would love to get your input. The star amazon glue was a game changer for me. Loved this video.
Good morning Lisa, It like Christmas everytime you put up a video and I love that beautiful smile of excitement!! I love how well you treat your kiddos. Love the eye shadows on you and the shoes are so awesome!! I also love that you show us even the best panties to wear. Hugs and Love to you xoxo
Chanel's eye makeup remover is the best. I've tried them all and always go back to the Chanel, it's the only one that doesn't sting or dry out my eyes.
Oh my goodness I totally forgot about add a bead necklaces 💕Such a good memory. That was so popular when I was in school ,I had one too. I just love the color of the Bobbi Brown gloss with that liner .I have several ,I’ll have to go through my collection and see if I have that one and try it out really enjoying all the new make up things you’re trying probably Brooke working at Ulta doesn’t help LoL😊❤️
I found some dress pants that in black last year that I love. They are by Banana Republic they are the Avery style machine washable Italian merino wool .They feel silky and they’re fluid they’re not heavy or thick I even bought them in a long and an average so I could wear one with flats and one with pumps. The seam stays nice and they do not wrinkle up when you wear them. And they’re good for a curvier figure. Also the peri oral dermatitis, I had a bout with it and it wasn’t the toothpaste it ended up being some of the cosmetics that had fragrances in them . Some would set it off not all just some. I was told the best way to check was to put a little bit behind your ear and if you had a reaction then not to use it on your face. I hope this helps.
Love your makeup here, Lisa! I like that Revlon tool but I swear it damages my hair if I use it too often. Do you notice that with either of these? The low doesn't seem to do enough for me though.
Soooo glamorous Lisa! Please do a tutorial on this look as well as the one when you featured the NARS palette (which I got!). I have just loved your makeup recently! And I ordered Lisa’s brushes even though I have far too many collections, I couldn’t resist after you featured them! You’re bad for my wallet lol!! Love ya! 😘💕🤗
Lisa, I have to know the color of the Sally Hansen peach colored polish you mentioned. Is it 33, Champagne Toast? It’s been a favorite of mine from that line that I have loved for years and will always have as long as they make it. It is fun to look back at the trends and favorites from the past. I think if it makes us feel good and we don’t look ridiculous doing it now then we should try them again once in a while. I have such strong memories of good times when I do that. 💕
Hi Lisa after watching today’s video I went and bought the revolution pro eye pallete and have just been using it..it’s gorgeous ❤️ thanks for a lovely video x
Hiiey Lisa! I really like the 90's looks, too! I recently purchased MAC Whirl lipstick, That lipliner is really pretty with nudes although it is dark, I like it. Those shoes are wonderful! I was told by a shoe salesman that when the heel and the sole are one (not a separate attached heel) the shoes are more comfortable. It is hard to find shoes like that anymore. Loved the video!
Lisa, I have always used a beauty blender and brush together. I love the look of the brush by BK you are using for your make-up. I will check out her video. We all need good shape wear especially when wearing a dress. I wear shapemint, but will check out these from Target. I'm a palette junky. Besides, ULTA, & Sephora, we have a huge Merele Norman Store and couldn't believe the new products they have. The cushion lipstick, beautiful. Have a beautiful weekend. 💄💙 I have hard floors and area rugs. I have the new Bissel vacuum & wash cleaner for hard floors & area rugs. It vacuums and washes at the same time. Check it out. Hope it works for you.
We had the Belo rug from West Elm and we hated it!! It had big, thick strands and looked so amazing in the magazine but it was a huge mistake in reality. It was impossible to vacuum and it shed like a hundred furry animals. Seriously, it was EVERYWHERE! I would do a lot of research and really find a rug that’s not going to make you go nuts trying to keep your house clean.
As someone with sensitive eyes who wears contacts, I have to say that the bi-phase Neutrogena eye makeup remover is just the best. It beats Clinique, Lancôme, etc. in my opinion. Love your videos! ❤️
I have rugs like that, it's important to use a regular 'suction' vacuum NOT the type with rotating brush heads because the brushes will ruin the fibers. xx
I have the moroccan trellis tassel rug and use a regular vacuum. Beware it will shed a ton at first for several months. However i am considering having it professionally cleaned after 2 years of having it
Please please pleeeease do videos of your tried and true favourite products. You have a great collection and I’d love to know what you reach for since we have similar skin/hair/eye colour 🤗
Was a teen in the 90s, loved those supermodels! Esp Naomi, Linda Evangelista, and Christy Turlington ❤️ I honestly love a peachy pop on top of any lip color.
Lisa Lisa....you look soooo Gorgeous!!! I love the retro looks myself...What a great video...you had lots and lots to show!!! Have a Wonderful Weekend!! Laura xo
Your makeup looks so pretty as always ! I’ve got the foundation by makeup revolution and it’s pretty. I must try the concealer 👍Thanks for the recommendation for L’Oréal coconut plump . I love it 💕
I was just rewatching your old videos (home tour and decor) for cleaning/decluttering motivation. And, here you are with a new video! So glad to see it...have a wonderful weekend.
I have the white long shag rug (from Wayfair). I love it. It stays fluffy, soft and is so easy to take care of. It is very luxurious and I love walking on it barefoot.
Oh, Lisa, you bring back memories of my girls having the gold add-a-beads necklace! Sweet! On another note....Philosophy's Purity Face Wash is excellent at getting all your makeup off, including heavy eye makeup, plus you can use it on your eyes and it doesn't burn!
Hi Lisa! I love that top on you! I have had many shag rugs and they must be vacuumed every couple days to maintain their nice appearance. The unfortunate part is they get matted down and show dirt very quickly in the high traffic areas (basically where your feet go while sitting on the couch.) I end up tossing mine every year or so as they just don't seem to last in the lighter colors even with a professional clean. If you can find one with a pattern in it preferably a darker color mixed in with the cream/white it would probably be your best bet for longevity and appearance.
That rose necklace makes me want it every single time I see u. Mariah’s nickname is Rosebud (her middle name is Rose). And so of course, roses are special and make me think of my sweet lil Rosebud! And i LOVE dainty necklaces that can just stay on . Also, do you plan on trying the new DYSON curler ? I know weren’t a fan of the blow dryer but, so curious on this curler cuz it heats with air ?! But it’s like 550. Lol not sure what Brooke’s discount is but, whew, I can imagine it’d still be insane, lol. But, figured I’d ask cuz..... well cuz I’d NEVER try that without being told by someone I trust their word on that it’s amazing and worthy. Lol... love the shoes and I swear by the good ol neutrogena purple wipes. I get everything off with them if I take a moment to truly wipe around each eye and detail it being sure to push up into my lashes etc, after scrubbing em down first with the wipe. (Only takes me one wipe total.i move my finger around into clean spots CONSTANTLY moving my finger (I wrap around my finger and scrub my eye down) so that I’m not just searing it right back onto my eye/ face! I found that’s CRUCIAL in getting it all off. Then at the very end I flip wipe all over and wipe on the clean side. Being particular about how I use the wipe changed my wipe game lol. And it doesn’t take me long either. Maybe 1-minutes total for entire face. (Not sure if that helps Ubuntu maybe try tweaking how u do that just to see if by chance THAT makes a good difference for you as well! )
One suggestion I have for high heels more comfortable is to take them to the shoe shop and I have my man put a rubber pad that fits the foot pad area. It makes a huge difference in comfort.

Those Chanel liquid lips are the best I’ve ever tried, love love those, I think I have 6 or 7 of them. Your makeup is so pretty.😘

We got our rug at Costco! And I vacuum mine all the time. I believe it’s the “Thomasville” rug they have right now on special 🤗
Revlon Colorstay has a liquid lip similar to the Chanel with the clear gloss combo. Also non drying and around ten dollars.
Your eyes look gorgeous Lisa! I might have to get that pallet!
