Congrats on the sponsor! Great build, awesome that it came together in one day - really transforms the space. The jump in production quality is definitely noticeable! It looked great throughout, but especially jumped out in the night shots. Glad to see the team back together and the foreman keeping a tight worksite!
Thank you so much! I knew of all people, you’d be one to notice the increase in production quality. The project always turns out better when the foreman is on-site 😅
Wonderful build. I thought i needed to spend money on a low deck but I think a kit like this would make a huge difference in my dream project. Thank you!
LOVE the pergola!! Happy to see the gang back together for another great build 🔨 Love this new style of content and the sponsorship was well deserved!!
Really beautiful job, guys. For the lights? A thick but bendable wire the length of the light string is great. ALSO, you could use long-enough zip ties.
It looks AMAZING at night. You both did a very good job and thanks for inspiring me to do start doing similar project. ☺Keep going, and have a beautiful day guys. 💛
i really want to get into the wood working field myself. its has only been about 3 months for me and i love it. seeing your stuff is really inspiring to me. I wish to have the knolage like you some day.
Wonderful job Grant and Bianca! I feel you explain the steps in your previous DIY videos in great detail and they are such a wealth of knowledge for someone that has never used a power tool before 😅. I’m not an OG subscriber but I have binge watched all of your videos so I feel like the title might apply lol. I have convinced myself that I can build an entire house because of your videos haha! I enjoyed this informal video. It’s really nice to see a different side of you two. I will definitely be looking into smaller projects like this to start out with. Keep up the good work!
Thank you so much! These are the types of comments that keep us going ☺️ I’m glad you found all our videos helpful - good luck on your next project! You got this 👊
Glad to see you getting more views my man. Well deserved. I have been watching since scores of views and your videos are always informative and entertaining. The new camera is crisp
Thank you so much Andrew! Glad you enjoyed the video 😁 I picked up a Sony a7iv, a 16-28mm sigma lens, DJI wireless mics, and Bianca got me the new DJI RS3 mini gimbal for Valentine’s day! It’s now quite the set up, but it was well worth it! I milked all my old gear for all its worth haha so it was a necessary upgrade
We are both accountants actually! Bianca still works full time but I quit my strategy consulting job to work on Golden Key Design full time. So far it’s paying off 😁 but we still have a lot of room to grow!
Thank you! Each of the four corner posts have a metal bracket that allows you to either stake it into the ground if it's on grass or screw it into a more stable surface. In this case, we didn't do either as we may adjust its position and it is heavy enough that it is very stable on its own
Looks great however as a lifelong builder Ill almost guarantee this bad boy warps like crazy. Ive seen 4x4s twist a Toja Grid apart let alone a freestanding setup. Cool project nonetheless
Thank you! And we’ll see how it holds up, but so far there haven’t been any issues. It’s all made out of cedar too so it should withstand the elements for a long time
I wouldve been peeking out all them windows back there..... would have to send me to the spa or something so I would have to leave the house and not be lookin.....
Check out the other videos on my channel. I built a whole basement bar including the cabinets, renovated a bathroom from top to bottom, built a custom wood slat wall, designed and built a floating bed, and the list goes on. I take pride in my craftsmanship but not everything needs to be built from scratch
It really did take a relatively unused uninspired deck and turned it into a cozy and comfortable outdoor den. Well done!
Thank you! Turned out better than expected 😁

Watching how peacefully you two talk to each other realllllyyyyyy reminded me how dysfunctional and loud my sisters and I are 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Well done team!
Thank you 😂
I could watch your videos all day. I love DIY done right
Thank you! Glad you enjoy the videos 😁
Seriously transformed the boring deck into fabulous outdoor living! A+++
And we were able to do it all in one day! Normally, this type of transformation would take much longer. Really proud of the end result 😁
Wonderful build. I thought i needed to spend money on a low deck but I think a kit like this would make a huge difference in my dream project. Thank you!
Thank you and I'm glad you found the video helpful! Good luck with your project!
Really nice job guys and nice thing to do for Mom & Pop. Really is a great looking pergola.
Thanks so much!
“Are you counting or am I?” 😂😂 BEST VIDEO YET!! Looks gorgeous! 😍😎🎉
Thanks Steph! We had a lot of fun filming and editing the video - I’m glad it came across in the video 😁
LOVE the pergola!! Happy to see the gang back together for another great build 🔨 Love this new style of content and the sponsorship was well deserved!!
Thank you so much! Hope to have more of Bianca and Olive in the upcoming videos 👀
Major improvement, a 12 x12 may have prevented less unused space on the side. Maybe additional planters can be added
Dude, that looks great! Looking forward to seeing what you come up with in the future. One of the best reno channels on YT right now!!
Thank you so much, it really means a lot! We got big plans for 2023 so stayed tuned 👀
Really beautiful job, guys. For the lights? A thick but bendable wire the length of the light string is great. ALSO, you could use long-enough zip ties.
Thank you! And great tip 😁
It looks AMAZING at night.

Keep watching TH-cam and learning! That’s how I learned. And try taking on a project or two 😁
The look & reaction on your parents faces is something money can't bye
Priceless 😁
Wow that space really needed something and you guys found the perfect thing! Looks amazing!!
Thanks Keri! Really turned out better than expected 😁
Judy found the channel but certainly appreciate the high production value. The audio was fantastic!
Thank you and welcome aboard! Glad you found channel 😁 I picked up some new DJI mics and love how great they sound!

Found you while looking for inspiration for slat walls, love this pergola!
Thank you!! Glad you found us 😁
This is a great video! It really feels inspiring to me to want to plan and build something like this! Huge Congratulations on the sponsorship!
Thank you so much! I’m glad you enjoyed it! And you should totally go build something - you got this!
Love the color of the pergola!
Thank you! It really is a beautiful cedar color!
Thank you for sharing this pergola setup. Nice work👍♥
Thank you! It really transformed the space into a great spot to hangout and unwind 😁
I am an OG fan for sure, great work as always dude, it looks fantastic!
A true OG fan haha! Thanks for watching 😁
So Winning 🥇
Thank you 😊
Love the transformation just what was needed!! Fantastic job
Thanks Mindi! Glad you enjoyed the video!
Looks great, what measures or thought process did you take to ensure it's safe to have a firepit under pergola?
Thanks
Really nice build, love it! Congrats on the sponsor.
Thank you so much 😊 glad you enjoyed the video!
I don’t know if you know this or not and if you don’t I want you to remain calm…. but your foreman teleports.
She tends to do that on occasion 😂 thanks for watching!
Glad to see you getting more views my man. Well deserved. I have been watching since scores of views and your videos are always informative and entertaining. The new camera is crisp
Thanks Jack! And thanks for sticking with me all this time haha! Glad you enjoy the videos and noticed the new production quality 😁
It is really beautiful and easy, friendly to build. Can you share how much it cost and where to buy this pergola?
Thanks!! Check description 😁
Nice work, guys!
Thank you 😊
It turned out nice!
Thank you!
Fabulous video!!!
Thank you so much!!
Hey isn’t too hot for the carpet? Man thats a nice feeling, having a fire pit outside while enjoying some good snack.
It’s an outdoor rug we use pretty much year round. And yeah it’s a great feeling 😁
Good stuff! Just got wind of your channel, keep it going. Thank you for all your info.😊
Thank you and welcome aboard! Glad you enjoyed the video 😁
#trueOG Absolutely love it mate. Congrats on the new camera gear too. Makes a real difference. Would love to know what new gear you got.

Useful video as always
Thank you 😊
I love this build ❤😂
Thank you 😁
Really nice!
Thanks!
What do you two do for your career? You are doing a bunch of projects back to back. That must cost a lot!
We are both accountants actually! Bianca still works full time but I quit my strategy consulting job to work on Golden Key Design full time. So far it’s paying off 😁 but we still have a lot of room to grow!
Did it need screwing down or does the weight of it keep it stable? Nice job!

Looks great
Thanks!
Love this
. Where is the furniture from?
Thank you! I believe it’s from Crate & Barrel
Paint it black to match the house trim
Also look like they need a bit more seating. 😅
Thanks for the tips!
I wish the rug was bigger so it could pull all the furniture and large planters together. Other than that it looks really good. ❤
Thanks! Appreciate the feedback 😁
In the last video you said there would be gest in the lake house. Are you going to list it as like a summer getaway?
No, we are going to keep it as a family vacation home. And unfortunately the neighborhood doesn’t allow short term rentals anyway
in Australia we have fences between properties for more privacy, looks weird on this without them
We have those too but they aren’t on very home
Love it
Thank you ☺️
This is dope
Thank you! It’s a great space to relax now 😁
Is the furniture waterproof?
Yes, it’s outdoor furniture, but we usually bring in the cushions when it rains
Looks great however as a lifelong builder Ill almost guarantee this bad boy warps like crazy. Ive seen 4x4s twist a Toja Grid apart let alone a freestanding setup. Cool project nonetheless
Thank you! And we’ll see how it holds up, but so far there haven’t been any issues. It’s all made out of cedar too so it should withstand the elements for a long time
I see you love that black color on everything 😊
It’s a great color 😁
I wouldve been peeking out all them windows back there..... would have to send me to the spa or something so I would have to leave the house and not be lookin.....
Haha! We tried our best to keep them away
How is this diy when it’s a kit?
Still got to build it yourself
Is it me or does that chimney looks photoshopped in?
(1:27)
It’s real alright 😅
"Yuppies assemble ikea junk and feel accomplished" should of been the title for this video- I was expecting actual craftsmanship.
Check out the other videos on my channel.
