Tomi Joutsen is for sure a fantastic singer, a truly enrichment to the band...but for me personally, Amorphis is Koivusaari and Koskinen...grown up with that constellation in the 90ties and i have learned to love that music in that type of time period.....good rememberings only..part of my life...sad that this time is gone and good, that Amorphis is still there!!!
This is the soundtrack of my youth. And what a tune it is. Love it. But i really enjoy every iteration of Amorphis. Each singer brings his own into the band and non did disappoint me. It was and still is one of my most favorite bands. Thank you Amorphis for all the times your music allowed me to cope with all the BS in my life :)

@@giulianofrontini223 In this case i'm pretty sure it is a traditional Finnish musical instrument introduced in Kalevala -saga. In finnish it is an imperative word "carry around" or in another case it is an imperative "make a reclaim" (of misbehaving officer or schoolmate and etc.)
My fave era of Amorphis is the current one with the mighty Tomi Joutsen, but they're like Rush in that each era of their evolution is full of honest artistry and timeless treasures to be discovered for many years to come. This is certainly one of those timeless treasures. Viva Amorphis and I look forward to the new album Queen of Time.

Memories are sth strange. Today someone mentioned Amon Amarth, I remembered Amorphis, but I couldn't remember the song. But I started singing it. "Truly they lie....". Great song. I haven't listened to it since the times I was waiting with my boom box to record it from the radio.
If im not here in a few years time - this is what Im going out with. Amorphis have been pivotal in my /\/\etaL genre and really had the feeling delivered that Ive read in their album sleeves for me. No matter their journey with Pasi or Tomi, the band has never changed their style and always put out a great album. ELEGY / TALES was where it was at for me!
