*Don't worry about that the Austrian government doesn't have any backbone. They mandate nobody cares and that's it. They tried it, but the best thing you can do is close the door in their face 😂*

As an Austrian citizen I‘m really annoyed by the fact, that I‘m not allowed to obtain a second citizenship at all without loosing my Austrian. I grew up here and pay my taxes in Austria. But some random person coming to Austria can keep theirs!

Hi Andrew. In what situations can descendants of people who left America and or Canada get citizenship rights? Case in point " Merikins" Black Americans who were given asylum in Canada and other countries. Can their descendants claim citizenship?
I see that even a lot of Austrians are annoyed by these rules, if Austrians want a change they should vote for Parties that are less restrictive regarding citizenships, I’ve done a quick research on the people who make decisions there and the majority votes ( 50%+) in the parlament goes to a party which is very restrictive and close minded regarding this issue
Hey Andrew, Always enjoy the information you provide. Could you and your team do a show about the common markets in the world that offer freedom of movement in their matket and a possibly a recommended entry point citizenship in each common market. ie... EU, CARICOM, MERCOSUR, ASEAN, etc
They used to (i have not looked in a couple years, still might) have a program if you were a descendent or descendent of a Jew (I think they were actually offering for both Sefardí and Ashkenazi). May want to look into that. If you can trace a Sefardí 500 years back, Spain is brining their citizenship program back. Portugal has, in effect, closed that by making the hoops to jump through quite high.
It depends; anywhere from parents only to as far back as the country existed. Usually three is a good number, and some have opened up. You can email our team at help@nomadcapitalist.com if you have a specific case you need help with.
Exceptional citizenships don't follow the same rules. Like getting an honorary degree when making a graduation ceremony speech without having to sit in those pesky classes or taking exams. Haha.
Still available? But i think it prohibited dual citizenship, had jab requirements, and a certain income level. Even worse than Spain did. May want to wait for Spain to reinstate theirs. Would look into doing the investigation in Portugal to get the Jewish community certificate (CIL) then using it for Spain when it opens. 500 euros for the CIL + 200 for sisters and brother or cousins. Worth having and being one of the first in line to apply when it opens.
Good example of this is Denise Eisenber Rich who got Austrian citizenship (and resigned her American) through her late father who was born in Austria-Hungary.

There is a mistake here. Article 21-20 just says a person from a french-speaking country is not obliged to learn French in order to apply for citizenship. If you don't speak French, you won't get the French citizenship (unless you were born on the French soil, or your parents are French). There is an exam to pass.
Not to be morbid, but this actually answers a question that was indexed in the back of my mind a few years ago. Long story short, when Epstein's residence on 71st Street was raided, they found an Austrian passport in a drawer. (Read More) Like most people, my initial thoughts were something super shady, but after watching this video, it may have just been a legitimate investment for something the Austrian government liked or wanted.
