One of my top 10 favorite "turn off the brain and laugh" movies! Being from Louisiana, I used to pretend to my friends in Colorado that I understood everything that Cajun Coach was saying, it drove them nuts!
I'm from south Louisiana myself and it's funny how people outside the state actually think people talk like that old man. Only eccentrics and con artists in New Orleans talk like that. Anyone who originally had thick accents down the bayou died decades ago.

"The Wedding Singer" is an underrated 90's nostalgia movie about the 80's. Never been a huge Sandler fan, but it is one of his I really like... that and "Punch Drunk Love", but that is a Paul Thomas Anderson movie and all his stuff is next level movie making.
It’s the beautiful beginning of the two of them working together! Drew said she knew that they would work extremely well together. And that she loved him so he had to!😌
Same here. I was never a big fan of his either. He did a movie with Don Cheadle a while back called Reign Over Me which I actually really did like. It wasn't a movie you'd think of Adam Sandler even being in but I was surprised by how much I enjoyed it.

Must watch Big Daddy. One of my favorite Adam Sandler movies. Hysterically funny and stupid, but also can bring a tear to your eye (which many of his films actually (surprisingly) do).
I don’t think big daddy is “stupid” like waterboy or happy Gilmore. Big daddy is more heartwarming with some messages sent and a good story with the kid. All 3 my fav Sandler movies. Just I don’t think I would say big daddy is a “stupid” comedy
I still cry my ass off in 2 different scenes in "click" the it's all about family science when he was dying and when he wouldn't even look at his dad,breaks my heart everytime.
I watched this movie in the theater when it came out and man, that theater was packed with people laughing all the way through the film. Awesome movie. 👍

This is the funniest Adam Sandler "lowbrow" comedy in my book. The Wedding Singer is his best. It's a pretty great movie in general. You really should give it a go :)

Necessary Roughness & The Replacements are my fave!! Major league & it's sequels (I think there are 3 total IIRC) are also really good :) I haven't seen Slap Shot in so long, but it never caught on with me like the others. Hopefully he watches some of those :)

The 2nd album, "What the Hell Happened to Me?" had sketches featuring a character called, "The Excited Southerner" which is basically an early version of The Waterboy, minus the obsession with water and his Mama. Both albums are full of hilarious sketches and songs, some are raunchy and some are even a bit twisted, but most of them are pretty funny. Absolutely, Kathy Bates is amazing in this movie. She almost didn't do it and I'm really glad she did because I can't imagine anybody else in that role. She NAILED it!

I have seen a lot of movie reactors on youtube and you are by far my favorite.. 90% of the times the reactors normally just end the video with "well great movie, see you next time".. But I have seen a couple of your reactions now and you know the actors, talking about the music, the scenes, the lighting, camera positions etc.. You can take a joke when It's meant as a joke (talking Robert D.J's Black face here😉) but you also see the meaning in the way its made.. Great reaction my dude, keep doing them👍
With October on its way, that might be a good incentive for a Halloween themed viewings. Seeing Kathy Bates again, one film he should consider is Stephen King’s Misery. For other Halloween movies: Beetljuice, Nightmare on Elm Street, Halloween, It (the miniseries, not the movies), Coraline (In my opinion a scary movie in its own right). That’s all I can think of off the top of my head for now, but no doubt someone can come up with more
Probably my favorite Sandler movie it’s either this, Billy Madison or Happy Gilmore. Big Daddy, Punch Drunk Love and Click are excellent as well. He’s put out good comedies. As long as you don’t take him seriously which sadly too many people do these days

Kathy Bates was known for Misery before this came out. She got the script and threw it away and her granddaughter saw it in the trash, got it out, and told her that Adam Sandler was really funny. She did the movie and now this movie and Misery are the two people ask her about the most and she said they had so much fun making this movie. She's tooooootally different in Misery.
I'm pretty sure Adam Sandler did some skits on SNL back in the day that we're basically stereotypes of a backwoods Cajun dude from the bayou. That's where he got the inspiration for this character from.
if checking out Sandlers' filmography don't forget "Reign Over Me"- he plays against type in a drama as a man who lost his family on 9/11. it's an ASTONISHING performance from him.
Rob Schneider is a highlight of every movie Adam Sandler made but he is absolutely best in "Hot chick" and "Big Stan", both are among the funniest movies ever come out of Hollywood.
Since you are on this late 90s early 2000s comedy kick, check out a movie called "Old School". Vince Vaughn and the gang, it's great. Also "Anchorman, The Legend of Ron Burgundy". The cast in that one is amazing, full of great talent.
Old School is non stop amazing. Can’t believe I haven’t seen anyone react to it. Anchorman is a classic. So good. So quotable. VV and Jon Favreau pioneered the modern ensemble buddy comedy with Swingers.

The remake of The Longest Yard with Sandler is pretty good. They even brought in Burt Reynolds to play the coach.

Probably my favorite Sandler movie it’s either this, Billy Madison or Happy Gilmore. Big Daddy, Punch Drunk Love and Click are excellent as well. He’s put out good comedies. As long as you don’t take him seriously which sadly too many people do these days
The QB #12 plays Dante in 'Grandma's Boy' and that's another hilarious movie.

Please watch The Wedding Singer. :) It's one of my favorite movies ever, it's set in the 80s, and when it came out in 98 (and I was 10) I became obsessed with 80s music for a LONG time. (Still love it too!)
Kathy Bates was known for Misery before this came out. She got the script and threw it away and her granddaughter saw it in the trash, got it out, and told her that Adam Sandler was really funny. She did the movie and now this movie and Misery are the two people ask her about the most and she said they had so much fun making this movie. She's tooooootally different in Misery.
I'm pretty sure the waterboy voice came from his "Excited Southerner" skits from his old comedy albums

I grew up in Louisiana so this movie was funny to me on another level. The way they portray Cajuns is hilarious.
I'm pretty sure Adam Sandler did some skits on SNL back in the day that we're basically stereotypes of a backwoods Cajun dude from the bayou. That's where he got the inspiration for this character from.
if checking out Sandlers' filmography don't forget "Reign Over Me"- he plays against type in a drama as a man who lost his family on 9/11. it's an ASTONISHING performance from him.

Rob Schneider is a highlight of every movie Adam Sandler made but he is absolutely best in "Hot chick" and "Big Stan", both are among the funniest movies ever come out of Hollywood.

Since you are on this late 90s early 2000s comedy kick, check out a movie called "Old School". Vince Vaughn and the gang, it's great. Also "Anchorman, The Legend of Ron Burgundy". The cast in that one is amazing, full of great talent.
Old School is non stop amazing. Can’t believe I haven’t seen anyone react to it. Anchorman is a classic. So good. So quotable. VV and Jon Favreau pioneered the modern ensemble buddy comedy with Swingers.
The Wedding singer is my favourite Adam Sandler movie. Grown ups is also a nice one. A little more family-oriented but still some good laughs.
