I went to a beginning quilting class yesterday and I already forgot how to make these. Thanks so much for this very clear tutorial. Now I must get to the sewing machine to make a lot of these for my next quilting class. You gave very clear and great instruction - including the fact that, I'm a beginning quilter and I was shocked to learn in class that my sewing machine did not come with a quilting foot - so I'm using tape as well. Thanks so much!
Nice. I want to make a patchwork block quilt. I have 2 fabric cat patterns and want to get a solid as well. Am i best to make 4 patch or 9 patch blocks of my 1 cat pattern with a solid and make another 9 block with my "paw" print with the same solid fabric? Would these 9 patch blocks assemble together nicely. I would use the strip method. I am awful for figuring patterns out. I do like the patchwork simple blocks and have decided on that type of quilt.
