I bought the Balder Pro and it's been two months with no problems yet. I do not rinse off the main unit with water, only the blades. I also followed the instructions of charge it first before using and only recharge when red light is showing. I also lube the unit frequently.

Got a pitbull gold today, so much better than the remington rx9, kind of bought by mistake. The main difference other than the better shave was the lack of water mess. The remington was a shirt off kind of thing and the mess it left on the counter top while it was drying was annoying me. The water just seems to get out of the pitbull way better. It's so much nicer to use.
Would you recommend the pitbull platinum over the gold? I have the gd and have been happy with it, but I need a new one as I broke my a while back a d glued it back together, (yrs it still works) but I am needing to replace the blades so I will have to replace e the whole thing. Thanks for your info.
Honestly, I would stick with the gold because the platinum and the gold have the same specs as far as battery life. The only difference is the platinum comes with a few extras that honestly you can do without in my opinion!

I don’t own the silver, I own the gold, but going by the specs, the pitbull silver will be better than the Remington… The Pitbull gives you 60 minutes of use, and the Remington gives you 50 minutes of use… I also like the replacement cartridges better on the Pitbull… hope this helps!
I Just ordered the bit bull platinum. I currently have the babyliss foil shaver and I love it. I wanted the pit bull to wet shave with because the babyliss fx3 is only dry shave. I do love my babyliss though for sure
Unlucky maybe so… there are customers that have had that same luck with the skull shaver… but after owning both I still say the Skull shaver is a superior product when both are in working condition !

What about the rx7 the new model any good? I habe rx5 and pitbull platinum. Rx5 battery is ridiculous 😒 but I honestly think it cuts better than the pitbull but the upgraded remington rx7 has now improved on few things. I'd love to see a review.

I don’t believe reviews that say one is better than another because I know how people are and they just say whatever they have is better. I don’t know this guy but I doubt he’s on a mission on TH-cam is to ruin Remington although he’s convinced me to buy another pitbull over the Remington even if it’s just for a backup. Barely got x1 use out of mine. Such a terrible experience and a spindle broke, cant be asked to travel to Argos (50 miles) or deal with Remington. Resulting in item being binned. Complete waste. Screw the warranty, such a bad product I dont care - just get rid of it.
I heard the same but mine works fine going on 2 1/2 years and as far as parts falling off I don’t see how that’s possible do to the design..,so I’ll keep my fingers crossed!

I have not had the Remington, but I did buy the top of the line Pitbulll. It stopped working after a year or so.
My Pitbull just died and it's why I'm looking around for alternatives! lol

I had same issue, 1st shaver head was replaced for free due to warranty, after 8 months, replaced unit stopped working in 6 months.
Do you have a link to a video, which shows how to get the 5 razor blades off / free to clean them ?

My Remington rx5 is 7 or 8 years old and still works beautifully. You have simply been unlucky. I have changed blades twice on mine.

Maybe you have dropped it 1 or 2 times because it sounds like a ball bearing damage.

I'll never buy remington again, bought an rx5 and it broke within a month, never charging, got a replacement, and again within a month it broke.

The Balder pro quit working after six uses. Its made of mostly cheap plastic, even the drive spindles. Total junk!
