It’s easy to be enamored by what Page and Bonham are doing, never mind Plants singing and lyrics, but through the years I’ve learned to listen more closely to what Jones does. He gets so overlooked, yet he was SOOO important to Zeppelin. And like Page, he too was a former studio musician who came into the band as a multi instrumentalist with all the advanced chops any band could wish for. Plus he wrote Black Dog, which is epic in itself with its timeless heavy-hitting sound. It’s awesome to see him get his due and respect with this crowd. 👏👏👏

I was there..i remember this great Jam...and how i didnt even know that John Paul Jones was gonna be there...the rumors blew around....and my aligence to Zeppelin brought me up in that mix that night...it was amazin'...and a huge highlight...as was seeing the Police for the 1st time. WSP for my 50th+..and also the White Stripes a couple months before they broke up..for good....
