World Cup every day of the week for me because it comes around every 4 years so not like hockey, baseball or football which if you lose this year there's always next year. AND your team with a World Cup is not chosen because it's for your national team so no such thing as being able to buy it by buying the best players in the league like the previously mentioned sports
Agreed with the exception of North American hockey. The NHL, which has the Stanley Cup, does not let you buy a team full of superstar players like PSG, Man City, The Galaticos or in other North American sports like baseball and basketball.
NHL hockey has a very strict salary cap per team that prevents that kind of spending on players. Out of the major leagues in the USA it has the best parity by far.

World Cup means the most, but the Stanley Cup has the most individual value by far. It's the history of hockey, over 120 years old, and is the only other trophy that has it's name in the playoffs. Also you can argue it's value is better BECAUSE it's not a national thing but still is incredible to win. The world cup has value because of the stage, the Stanley Cup on the other hand gives the stage value.
