Saw John Goodman on a Mardi Gras float in New Orleans around 2002. He told the cops to let my son run up to the float to him so he could hand him some beads because my son was young and the big guys were pushing him. My son still has those beads. 😀😀😀

I'll never forget the scene where he's playing Scrabble with Becky and Darlene and plays oxygen on a triple letter, triple word score. He was so proud and the studio audience was too. Then the girls tell him it's not a real word so he takes it off and he's back to his dumb self.
I loved how Laurie Metcalf’s (Aunt Jackie) development progressed throughout the series and her comedic capabilities were everything. That episode when their father died and she had to tell the Aunt on the phone was TOO FUNNY!

Really, he always said he hated her? I know, in the past, he would talk about them having trying times together and had their share of heated arguments, but that at the end of the day, he still respected and cared about her. Once he said, "he never knew he had it that good back then" and that he never regretted leaving the show(I'm assuming he meant during their last season), because he was burned out and needed a change, but that he took for granted how good he had it then and working with her and the rest of the cast. I always got the impression that John Goodman was among the very few people who she truly respected and listened to.
Can't wait to start watching Rosanne again, closest show to real life.

I loved Rosanne as a child and bought most of the series on dvd. One of my favourite scenes is when Fisher beats up Jackie and you see Dan pick up his coat to leave the house .... we need more men/fathers like Dan

When Dan died in the original I really felt I was mourning a loss. I cried and cried and even watching reruns I would try to avoid that episode because I knew the waterwerks would come. I'm so glad that this is back on the air it was one of my favorite shows growing up

Dan Conner was my best role model growing up. Hard working loved his family. Did whatever had to be done. Followed his dreams. Even when it tanked he carried on.
I grew up with this show and used to pretend they were my family because I had a difficult family life. I wept tears of joy when i saw there was a reunion. Omg all smiles over here. 💛
John's "The family has a lot of buffers" reference was shear genius, loved it

I dont see how it can fail. These two are great.
well its more then just the 2. plus this isnt exactly a the 90s where the show was winning. its 2018, some may not like it. just saying. im surprised that family matters isnt getting rebooted. roseanne and full house returned lol.
The only way it would fail is if they try to make the storyline from the 90s, keeping up with today's happenings and trends to some degree, will certainly help this show.
The Roseanne Obsessed FB group has over 50K members and the first show hasn't even aired. I'd say there will be NO PROBLEMS with it. Some members have gone to the live tapings. Yes, they tape live !

Haven't watched this a how since Rosanne left. She and Dan made the show TOGETHER. It could never be the same great show without them both! What an amazing opportunity you all have missed. She didn't say or do anything anybody else hasn't done. They just weren't caught or called out. Someone did this on purpose because they were jealous of her.

Yes, Jerry will be in the military and Andy also exists but is not gonna get screen time (I believe I read he will be off to college).

Everyone turned their back on Roseanne. She thought she was playing by the rules making fun of another white woman-which is totally okay to do in Hollywood-but when the woman turned out to not be white, the joke suddenly was no longer acceptable. Also, to be clear, I think many anti-white jokes are hilarious and they’re fair game; I just think people should be able to make jokes about everyone (to a degree of course).

As cheesy as this may sound, it IS like seeing your family again! I grew up watching Roseanne and when you see a family in your house constantly over almost a decade, they start to feel like your own family. So seeing them all again now is so warming inside because they all look so good and it's just like coming home again. I always thought Roseanne would make the perfect aunty! So jelly this is back on tv (now they just need to bring it out in New Zealand so I can watch it too!!!) ;-)

I had a crush on Dan from my early teenage years and it still continues. Roseanne ugh I love her. I can’t wait for the show.
It's sad that the divisive politics of America had to end this working relationship. I don't agree with Roseanne's views but it is just really sad. Roseanne was just one of those shows that defined a place in time that virtually everyone could relate to.

Gregory May Yes but remember the very last episode where Roseanne narrates the end of the show and explains how she wrote all that for her book and they never really won the money? The last episode ends with her sitting on the couch in the house and everything was as it was in the earlier seasons.
