You know what I paid for an entire year of University in the leading University of my country? 500 bucks. I spent more on the textbooks. Yankeeland is fucked.
You’re from EU aren’t you? I used to think the same, being from NL, all our public universities are around 1k in tuition fees but all top 100 world universities. However, you don’t understand, the salary in a top paying firm is incomparable to EU. Some starting salaries of $100k and can go up to 250-350k in 3 years. If y you are an engineer(then honestly you can get your degree anywhere it don’t matter much; but if you study economics, business, etc. It’s really hard to get a high paying job unless coming from a really good uni. I lived in the US for a while, I dislike many things, but I must admit the salaries are very attractive.

Nowadays you need to pay 1,500 pounds for a room in London with entry level salary being 33k pounds a year BEFORE taxes! It's insane. You're from the EEA and sure, I bet it's organized quite nicely, but I am from NL myself, and in.a way similar to those countries, small, relatively well organized, but it's just so extremely boring. I can't live in NL anymore. I'm not trying to convince you, I'm just sharing my experiences. There is a certain benefit of getting education in the USA if you want to reach the absolute top of a global career. If you're satisfied in your country, then it's not worth it.
Her comment about student loan highlights the danger. We can scream about "free market capitalism" vs "social safety net" and such, what we have in student loan is the worst of both worlds. Under normal circumstances, any money loaned out must be scrutinised. Yet, we have a government program that doesn't do that, creating this money circulation of educational institutions hopping on the train of easy loan ordained by the government, increase their prices as government hands out more money. At the same time, graduate students are forced to carry his huge burden that's inflated due to government's program AND "free market" force. Rather than directly fund schools like other countries, or loan only to important and lucrative fields like others, the U.S. government let big institutions to profit off, of education LOAN, not education itself. The best part about this, is that politicians love student loan because they can use it as political tool to get votes. They can cancel loans to gain emergency popularity, why reform such a useful system?
Don't do student loans. They're devastating. Half of college enrollees fail out, and still have to pay them back. They're non bankruptable loans. Students who work their way through college have higher grades and higher graduation rates. And no debt. The designer school degree is not worth it. Don't put yourself in bondage.

Student loan debt is the only form of debt you cannot declare bankruptcy on, you have that debt until they day you die. Please be careful when taking out large amounts of student loans, that’s why the approval process is soo fast
Good luck to her!
what a beautiful name she has ❤
She is Iris... but her sister is a pupil.
MBA? What's a "MacBook Air" Student? No comprendé!
I am loving her outfit
I studied abroad and well, I have no college loans yay

She’s sharp
Eggs gunna dry up real fast lol
Shes beautiful 😍
Can someone with a diploma degree get hired as well? What are the chances?
Learn a skill trade, manage your money, branch off from it.
there no reason to go to MBA to get a 'general management' degree and pay 150K...
Exactly
And lol at the people saying the taxpayer should pay for that bullshit.
Thought she was gonna say ‘onlyfans’. I would’ve subbed.
Thank God there are people who care this much about mundane things. What would the world be without people without any real direction or goals other than making a lot of money
She is in my eyes
Thats creepy bro
Please what the name of that book
And how can I get a copy
It's true. It is very scary that they approve student loans within about 2 weeks or so from applying for them.
This game is insane thanks though 😭
tertiary education especially private colleges is profit first then education. even for public uni , to be in profit is one of the goals. in malaysia, student appled for ptptn (a body which catered specifically for student loan) and ptptn charged 1 % for administrative cost
wow she got into anti Asian Harvard
Yeapppp revel in it
Funny considering Harvard is 40% Asian, try again. ✌🏽
@@LexiNc8284if it was not for affirmative action, that 40 % would have turned into 80 % for asians
Should’ve gave them two books
No Biden bailout for her
lmao, I'd toss free books in trash
Well at least she’s not a consultant
Does anyone know where to find the video essay Jason mentions at 23:36 about Why people need heroes?
MBA to VC... So original...
Amazing that in America you’re forced to go into significant debt before you even start working.
What a system.

Ahh I feel like her answers are what all my asian friends would say too.

-------- hi iris
I’m 100% sure she’s not going to read that.
In my country, there have been many stories of graduates filing their papers away and venturing into cafés and the likes. And well, becoming influencers. 🤣🤣🤣
Salaries in EU (even in London, Netherlands, Germany) are way too low compared to living costs. I lived in the US for a while, I dislike many things, but I must admit the salaries are very attractive.
@@BuzziMuzzi And then you get ill and or have an accident and have to hope your insurance is good enough.
Yeah, because the US is a stratocracy, higher wage earners get way more money, but at the expense of living lives of debt slavery and then having no work/life balance.
Also EEA, not EU.
"Yankeeland" graduates also have access to way higher level opportunities. When you go to a top university in America you're not paying just for the education but the connections and title.
@@chickensadist7554 Nah. I mean, those are a side effect at best of their nobility hanging out in the places, I suppose?
@@Dmitrisnikioff Honestly, most white collar jobs get you an insurance. The people in the US who are fucked are the minimum wage workers. I don't agree with it, I think a truly healthy country has a healthy middle class, otherwise the economy is unsustainable. However, from a selfisj perspective, I put in 6 years of study at a top uni in Europe, but getting a top job in EU the salary is too low compared to living costs.
Hi I’m a big fan
Thanks !
Hi
What!!! Not studying Psychology or Communications!!!😄😄😄
She sounds like Selena Gomez ❤
sold my soul and body to the government for a somewhat free college 😤… my knees and back hurt 😔
Nice vid - just a nice street interview without politics!!!
She'll be fine y'all jeez😅
Marry her up
I thought you become a VC after you had built a successful company. And sold it.
not often.
Don't do student loans. They're devastating. Half of college enrollees fail out, and still have to pay them back. They're non bankruptable loans. Students who work their way through college have higher grades and higher graduation rates. And no debt.
The designer school degree is not worth it. Don't put yourself in bondage.
Harvard is one of the most expensive universities to apply to
