LVD, the draft king! Cheers for the ratings, I tend to put more weight on your ratings than others. Edit: Lovin' the art on Inga and Esika too! it reminds me of DiTerlizzi's artwork, which always made me smile
I personally find the Inga and Esika art to look quite out of place amongst the rest of the set. It looks like something from the cover of a comic book rather than somewhat more realistic style we’re used to with magic

Brudiclad has extremely strong synergy with Incubate, as the tokens enter with the counters on them, so he doesn't just make a 2/1: he also turns all of your Incubate tokens into 2/1 creatures with X +1/+1 counters on them, even ones you haven't paid to flip yet. So worst case he's a permanent +2/+1 buff to all of them, and best case he's letting you flip a bunch creatures that you otherwise wouldn't have be able to that turn.
I don't know if there was anything with stun counters in the last set, but I just realized that with enough proliferate, you could keep enemy creatures tapped down forever.
I finally decided that this was the set I would start drafting in order to fill out my collection. Your opinions and insights are exactly what I need to fuel my ascension to a mediocre limited player (as opposed to the garbage one I am now)

You say the legendary creatures that blocks activated ability is not that useful because there isn't many activated abilities, but there are a lot of them with all the transforms. it's definitely valuable to be able to prevent all the big cards like elesh norn as well as the small cards to transform.

Realistically, there is no "Permanent" bounce in this set.. and Incubators don't have a type. Right?
The transformation turns them into creatures which can then be sacrificed or bounced (the latter being particularly painful after you've invested the mana to transform them)
I have a question regarding the evaluation of Realmbreakers Grasp and Stasis Field. LVD rated these two pretty far apart (resounding B and flat C respectively), which I dont quite understand. While the Stasis Field leaves behind a 0/2 that can potentially chump block, that seems to be its only downside in straight comparison. The downsides to freeing the enchanted creatures are exactly the same for both enchantments, and the Field even stops triggered or static abilities on its targets, which can come in handy (albeit I admit probably not often). Blue is also soft on removal, so having a type of arrest seems pretty good to me. This is why I would have rated the Stasis Field probably a B as well. I would love to hear the thoughts from this community on this or ofc from the great @LegendVD directly. And thanks to anyone who took the time to come to my little TED talk :D
Just reading the cards you would think that there isn't a huge difference, but once you see them in play a few times it becomes clear that the difference is quite significant. An extra blocker can represent a lot of extra life, can help protect Battles, block 1/1 tokens all day long, ... Can confidently say this since there have been a lot of effects like it in the past. Now if you're playing a blue control deck that doesn't really need to attack on the ground to win the game, than Stasis Field will be just as good.
@@LegenVD Interesting point. I had trouble evaluating how significant the lifegain really is, so thank you for the great insight! I will definietly incorporate it in my drafting decisions and might take Stasis field less highly if my deck is more aggressively slanted.

I've done shorter videos for the top 20 or 25 Standard cards in the past. Don't have much time to make draft videos these days, whereas I'm making daily content for constructed. So this is a way to please the folks that prefer draft.

You should consider breaking these down into smaller videos by color, if only to give you more videos worth of content for your efforts. It also makes it more digestible to those with short attention spans 😅 Either way, really appreciate these Limited evaluations! Thank you!

Remember: using stuff that resets base power like Zhalfirin Shapecraft and Vengeant Earth works extra well on things that normally have base power 0/0, such as your transformed Incubator tokens.
I think battles are weak. When you're behind, you can't trigger them and they're just a downgrade from a normal card with their weak CIP effect. And when you're ahead, you don't really need them and people just go face and don't even bother triggering it. 95% of the time, they only use the front face and, on almost all of the battles (maybe 2 exceptions ?), the front face alone is way too weak to justify playing it. We will see how it turns out but I think in 2 weeks, most of the battles will feel like D tier to people.
32:59 "We don't have trample..." Exactly. I just chump with one of my Dreadmaws and attack you with the other three: life total effectivly threatened. Not to mention how much harder Yargle and Multani are to cast... AND it dies to Wakening Sun's Avatar. Literally unplayable.

Maybe as a last chapter you can list all your A/A+/S tier cards as I would be mostly interested in the best the set had to give. This is my review for limited, not for constructed formats like Standard. So what's an A or S in limited may not always translate to being good in constructed. For a quick overview of the whole set, sorted by color and rating, you can consult my spreadsheet if you're a Patreon supporter.
The discussion about the card in the Limited format is the useful part, not a letter grade without any context. Even with consistent grading, a C+ doesn’t mean the same thing for two different cards.
I like reviews which cover the Limited cards like just common and uncommons, or, just cover constructed playables. A review of two formats seems too much information for a video. In Limited, you are not planning on seeing rares and mythics. Where in constructed you want to see just rares and mythics lol. /My two cents.
13:40 I don't think you can rate a two mana edict with upside as a C. Maybe C+ or B. As you rated the four mana bounce battle a B. I believe that the front side needs to be respected more

There are a few cards that also let you sacrifice artifacts, so you don't have to transform the tokens first.
