Most saw blades today are thin kerf ATB, meaning there is no tooth set, but alternating angle. You would have to set an angle of approximately 5 degrees, sharpen every-other tooth, flip the blade, and sharpen the remaining teeth. Something else, a cheap diamond hand stone is amazingly efficient for touching up carbide. 2-3 strokes make the teeth almost like new.
Well done Victor👍 You could mount the blade in a sliding tray. Put a dowel In the centre to hold the blade. Move it in to sharpen. Pull the tray back and move the blade on on the the next tooth and slide it in to sharpen it . Repeat.
Good method for these inexpensive disposable blades, the pivot pin is a simple yet effective gauge, only the face is sharpened with most carbide blades, the tips are factory beveled and won't benefit from additional touch- up anyway.
Taka tarcza o śr. 125 mm to koszt ok. 40,0 zł.
Seemed to me to be chipping the edge of most of the teeth, an ingenious solution but could benefit from having a higher grade grinding disk than that used on the video.
A tile blade on the grinder dont work right is not for metal ..use a blade for metal instead ...just clamp the blade that needs to be sharpened on the table and use the grinder with your hands and doit
This setup look too hazardeous, I am sure that better methods are available, including ones that allow a small amount of bevel angle to be maintained on alternate teeth.🤔...
Unfortunately, the showmaker did not pay attention to the inadequacy of the abrasive disc as he fractured during grinding. polished waterway brace, which is a big problem!
He does not know what he is doing. Experimenting is fine, but do not tell this is the right way. The teeth are chipping like crazy and he is ruining the blade.
Thanks Victor. Your. Idea is better and simple
I'm so glad I saw this! Excellent video! I'm sick of sharpening saw blades by hand with diamond files. I'm going to make this! Top job!🙂👍👍👍

wow.. sometimes the simplest solution works the best.... Very easy and consistent...

So simple and accurate.
What is the name of that sharpening for the circular saw
very good and simple DIY stuff!

Thanks. Now I know how to sharpening my saw blades.

How did you convert your cordless drill to a plug-in cord because I have one I like for you to tell me how to do it
Very useful video . Thanks you .

It seems to me you can do almost exactly the same thing by simply putting a metal grinding disk on a table saw.
You can, but controlling the speed and ensuring the correct angle is tough.
very simple and smart
Thanks
Hey there, checked out your vids. Useful things to know. Nice work. New sub here.
I would expect the grind to not be 90 degrees to the blade face. Every other tooth sharpened at opposite angles to cut smooth and true.
The face IS 90 degrees, the tops are beveled, so this method will work since you are sharpening the faces on each tooth.

Very good idea ! Thank you very much !!!!!
Yes,yes,

Doesn't work with alternating angles
Genial!
Thanx big time !

Not good. All teeth need to be the same height/length. Shorter teeth are not doing anything when you're cutting.
But I thought the jig he used ensured all the teeth will grind the same amount off.

Great video
Your predictions have not come true.
That is not the way to sharpen a blade. Why go to all this trouble when that small blade is only $10 new?
You must have to much money...the blades here in NZ are $47 for a good quality one. Any money saving is good
so, it's not good work!!!
Did you say 50% missing teeth is permissible?
Yes it is.

Why did you decide so? This saw began to cut better.
You viewed the results; smooth, clean cuts with no smoking- it is good enough!
