I have seen this happen and have experienced with tire coatings. There could be a couple things that attribute to this. One thing is if the tires are new then they tend to have that mold wax release which takes more effort to remove it besides a tire cleaner such Stoners Tarminator and the mold wax release tends to keep coming out for a few weeks. For this it is recommended from experience to just clean the tires on a weekly basis for 3-4 weeks and do not dress them until that time. Secondly if the tires were dressed recently and often, it does have the ability to penetrate into the tire. So even though we think it is clean there is still tire dressing that leaches out to the surface after driving. Stoners Tarminator can help and it maybe a good idea to use a panel wipe as a last resort for that final wipe. This can be the downside to going to a tire coating and Ghost looks like it behaves like a tire coating. I have not used it just yet so I can't clearly say that. I had the exact same thing happen to my tires when I applied Optimum Tire Sealant (with the same blue hue in their own formula at the time, which makes me think the "blue hue" in the formula is some sort of chemical ingredient that gives the longer durability). It may have been residual product left behind as you stated because the same exact thing happened to me and I swore I would never use the crappy product again! Well, it wasn't a crappy product, but probably my own inefficiency in prepping the tire thoroughly. It might have had something going on on the tire rubber itself??? Not really sure, but it's very interesting that the same thing (and almost the exact same look) with that flaking and rust colored look you had here in your pictures. I do know that it took me a lot of work to correct the problem! A LOT. I essentially had to attempt to strip off the product, which was a nightmare. Whenever using a longer term tire rubber sealant, the only advice I can give anyone reading this or looking at this video, is before applying these long term tire dressing products is CLEAN CLEAN CLEAN CLEAN the tire rubber the best you can do. If you THINK the tire rubber is clean, it's probably not, make sure you clean it again, three to four more times. It's a pain in the butt and it certainly takes longer to prep the tires than when using normal tire dressings (which are far more forgiving to layering or having old residue product still on the tire) but it's the only way you will get a nice uniform appearance and will allow the product to work as the makers intended it to look on the tire surface. I know people say to look for "white foam" or white bubbles as an indication as the tire rubber surface as being clean, but that isn't always a good indication either. I also used Odorless Mineral Spirits purchased at Lowes, and I recommend its use to anyone applying a new type dressing for the first time, USE MINERAL SPIRITS after the fourth or fifth time of using a high alkaline cleaning chemical or specific tire prep product. CLEAN, CLEAN, and CLEAN AGAIN! That's really the only advice I would give someone based on my own experience with these higher longevity tire dressings. the crazy thing is that for the 6 hours that it sat and cured they looked amazing. the browning from the dust had to have come from the rust that settles on the brake rotor, after driving to and from work we believe that’s what settled on the tires, that did rinse off but after the rinse we could see that the ghost didn’t adhere properly, thus the re-do 😜 none of the products performed poorly i just have to change the order that i use them 🤘🏽🐿️💨
Post a video of when your sidewalls blow from brushing mineral spirits onto them.
@@brianr749 KABOOM!!! darn it all to hell, i knew i shouldn’t have used mineral spirts that “ONE” time!!! everybody knows that rubber tires are just as strong and thick at nitrile gloves…hehehehe, it’ll be fine my friend 🤘🏽🐿️💨
and you’re absolutely not wrong, solvents like that can and may harm rubber, but that’s not set in stone. using those solvents should be done very sparingly “VERY”. but sometimes it’s needed to clean the stubborn gunk off of tires, which in that case it’s mainly attacking the gunk. i do not recommend mineral spirits be used every time you clean your tires and i hope i didn’t come off that way in the video 👍🏽

Mistake #1 used express 😂
ohmygod bro dark fury! dark fury for the win, that stuff is great, of course i’ll use caution when using it but i can wait to use it more 🤘🏽🐿️💨
Wow… Glad I don’t use any tire dressings or sealants. Seems like a LOT of work for “hopefully it works”.
@@JeepJL hehehe, you and cars with keav like them naked au natural tires! but yes this time the tires look great no flaking or anything weird 😜 … and i’ve been sleeping on a dedicated tire cleaner, i always thought “eh a 2 in 1 works just fine”. that gyeon was excellent and boy that dark fury didn’t play around either 😜🐿️💨
@@FrankoDetailsYou got to admit that natural tire color looked good before you put that tire makeup back on there. 😂
@@CarsWithKeav you’re not entirely wrong 😜🐿️💨
Way too much work for just a tire dresser
@@frankieups oh for sure, for regular dressings nah i ain’t doing all that but ghost is a tire sealant and my first go around using it gave me hell 😜 i wanted to give it a fair trial so i went with that method and i will say it’s still going strong 🤘🏽🐿️💨
Especially when it doesn't even look as good as a standard dressing
@@gregsullivan7408 yeah it’s definitely subjective as far as how it looks, but if you’re doing any kind of long term tire sealant it takes a bit more time to prep the tires. the maintenance on sealant coated tires is very minimal which is a bonus 😜😜😜
Tacos 🌮 Iam hungry 🤤 after I finit the job Iam ready to get back to washing my baby’s watching you now to get my motivation back bc Iam tired as heck 💩😂 for me the car pro retire is like a nuke what ever comes it’s way I never had problems just two passes and all is clean like new strong shit I tell you 🫡
@@Dias-v dias!!!! yeah that dark fury came in like a wrecking ball
If it helps Franko, I did a pre scrub with Koch Chemie AWH then hit it with mineral spirits before application. Holding up so far. Koch Chemie at 1:5 and 2 applications and the tires are stripped like they're trying put themselves through college. th-cam.com/users/shortsRqmImfaawtw?si=drjdJI5Xpnnc4kmv
@@FineDetailingAZ yeah, i really believe i didn’t rinse off the p&s undressed completely the 1st go 😜
@@FrankoDetails all good give the Koch Chemie a try it’s pretty wild. I only use it to strip.

Frankoooo! Thank you for sharing the reality behind using new products and what could go wrong and how to figure it out! 🫡🫡 i enjoy using adams graphene i hear tire coatings are finicky but the graphene dressing works pretty solid and holds on nicely (obviously factors affect longevity 👍🏼)
