Hey Guz❗️ I got ahold of this when I first came out and I'm VERY impressed with it👍👍 I've got a good base of it laid down on my tires and actually took it upon myself to try topping it up with their Tire+ and ot looks great, did the same thing with my g/f's tires as well, her car is driven more than mine and washed about 1 to 2 times a week and still looks great😇
After watching a lot of detailing videos products like this one from ADS. This type of product is what people want. I think what is naturally trending in the detailing scene is quick and easy but long-lasting products. Rinseless washes are quick and easy for light cleaning and have become popular because of how much less effort is needed for top results- Hero is a perfect product for this criteria. Long-lasting tyre sealant like Ghost seems like a perfect product for effort versus result. If detailing companies worked on fine tuning effort vs results even further, they would sell more products, IMO. One product I would definitely like to see would be a paint sealant that is the most beading sealant ever made- 100° angle if that's even possible would be amazing, a product that water cannot physically bond on a treated surface I would buy straight away, even if it lasted 2 weeks or to be used after every wash and performed twice as better then the most beading ceramic coating I would hand over my money instantly. It wouldn't have to be long-term. 💰 'Max beads 100°' Armour detail supplies? Could this be done? Ghost is definitely on my list to buy when it arrives over the pond. Nice work Mike for the demo 👏 👍
I put Ghost on my truck about 2 weeks ago. Did a trip from Minneapolis up the north shore of Lake Superior to the Canadian border. Drove a bunch of dirt roads and the tires were fully covered in dirt and dust. When i got home, i just foamed the wheels and tires with ph neutral car soap and sprayed them off with the pressure washer. They came out clean and shiny with no scrubbing. The only downside is having to use a foam applicator on my all terrain tires. I usually use a flag tipped brush for tire dressing.
Nice video brother. Also, factor in that each tire takes a dressing/sealant differently too. 🤙 still looks like a good finish. I like to use mineral spirits if im really going for that full life expectation of durability.. either way if i get 1 month im happy with that! O Great video.
@@michaelweldon6662 that is great to hear. I have a love hate with dark side and solvent based tire dressings in general. I still prefer a water based tire dressing.
Great finish. Seems a lot like Tuff Shine tire sealant. Although definitely durable, they will still fade over a few weeks after which your only option to completely remove them is with acetone as they are impervious to degreasers.
@@fretho8410 yup similar in that aspect. It reminds me a lot of them. Also the accidental curbing is always a possibility with any type of tire coating.
It had a learning curve on the application for me. After the 2nd car I feel better about it. Im still not sold on it though. I like the application over dark side, but I still like how simple tire+ is more.
Just applied on my truck. Wasn't the easiest application on my offroad tires, didn't use a brush like normal for my knobby tires, as Brad and DJ suggested not to during the release. Similiar to your brothers truck if i remember correctly. Sidewall ate the hex foam applicator lol had to use a small detail brush to get in the side wall tread. Not a big deal. It cures pretty fast, I was worried by the time I came around and rolled the tires forward that it wouldn't blend. Just didn't look right after application. To my suprise, the next morning it blended and no low spots so thats a win. I did apply way heavier then I normally would just out of being nervous.
Go lighter on the application, use a more soft foam applicator, and apply multiple layers. Simply using way too much product and that rigid foam applicator is not helping. You need to level the product with your applicator, how you apply it, is how it will dry. Applying this heavy will leave high and low spots like you are seeing here. Using a solvent to actually strip all of the previous silicone off the rubber will always help to extend durability and remove bonding issues.
Great info as always Mike. Looks like I might give it a shot once I finish my old bottle of Turtle Wax Jet Black tire coat. 4 to 6 months easily. To this day I have no idea why they discontinued it.

I’m always curious about your tire sealants, I have the same tires. I did try the Ethos, looks dam good, made it through 4 days of rain, and wash with Hydra. Yea, not like day 1, but tire was still black. I’m curious if the rubber can breathe behind the Ghost. The browning has to go somewhere, doesn’t it?
@@waterhose4130 ethos is good. I like it as well. Good question on the browning. I can speak to tire coatings as the browning does not happen over time. I suspect it does not brown as it’s not interacting with the environment as it’s sealed up. I also suspect Ghost does the same thing. Gave me a tire coating vibe.
@@MikeGDetailing yes, good point on the browning. Must oxidize when escaping the rubber. ADS is stepping up the cutting game.
