Follow half-genie Shantae as she goes to an island to take a vacation...only to go on yet ANOTHER grand adventure. As usual, quirky characters appear. HILARITY AND SHENANIGANS ENSUES!
Unlike the last two games (Pirate's Curse and Half-Genie Hero), this game goes the way of Risky's Revenge: one big ol' connecting map instead of a stage-based format. We have the usual item shop with spells, belly dancing, and critter transformation. The transformations are not tied to dances this time. Magic dances are instead (like Seer Dance to see hidden things). OH YEAH! And there's cards to collect to get some buffs, like say...increasing certain magic damage and not take damage from pits/spikes.
This longplay attempts to get everything. This longplay gets a 100% file, but not really 100%: I get all Spark thingies (doesn't count), I think all plants (also don't count), all Nuggets (counts for File!100%), all Squids (same as nuggies), all items from shop (same thing), and all cards (don't count). Apparently, I missed a statue somewhere since trophy didn't pop for it. =_= Big card grind near the end of the game. Edited a bit to trim the fat...but there's still a bit of fat in there. :3 Lots of pausing/long pauses because i never did get 100% on PC and it's been quite a bit since I played it. Had to consult a map.

Going into this, I didn't know if I'd like it, but what an Interesting game!
I especially appreciated 2 things:
1) You didn't do a lot of
Stalling & Going In
Circles, Indecisively.
2) You completed the
game 100%.

But to honest a half genie wow i really surprised I thought for sure that a male or female genie would grand three wishes and plus if the person that grant the final wish...and
The person would say:
Genie I wish you are free
Then the genie would be free from the lamp.
Now this was a fun one in the series. I wonder what the next game is gonna be about

@@ange100arteagaand the hype of this is The Cards, it makes it less boring, as well as various modes like Rule Breaker, which essentially says, OP MODE!
Not as good as Curse or HGH but still okay.
There still hasn't been a Shantae game as good as the first one.
HGH had no dungeons and felt lacking to me, so this return to form in that way was refreshing and fun.
I have a couple of these on my Steam Deck. Are they worth it? Like are they good metroidvanias or should I delete them?
@chiarosuburekeni9325 For me, all the shantae games are worth playing if you like a good metroidvania style game with speedrun replayability. The best one is Pirate's Curse, and the original GBC game is always nice, even with no rewards for fast completion. (I'm no speedrunner and I still like playing through the games.)

It's a nice Shantae game but damn the new game plus mode sucks so much from seeing how misleading it is which I remember how I noticed how this game itself.
Has new game plus mode that I find it cool since I always love that mode since it can be fun to replay the game over and over again with the items you collected
To keep for your next playthrough but only to noticed none of it is carry over for your next playthrough you just wear a costume which they should have name it as
Hula instead of naming it as new game plus mode.
Am pretty sure bosses could talk

I mean it released on Apple Arcade 6 months before the condole and pc versions, so yeah it basically is.
