- Deco & Building Tips for how to create an even more immersive base in Conan Exiles without the use of any mods. The focus of this guide is the sleeping area and in particular the use of double beds. We hope to provide you with some ideas and inspiration for how to build and decorate the area around your bed. All our examples can be recreated with building pieces and placeables from the Conan Exiles base game and DLC items - no mods required!

Beautiful and inspirational builds, the elevated Bedroom is an amazing work indeed !! So, I hoped to get some ideas how to work around of placing wall deco on "blank" walls at already existing buildings, like the temples in the jungle. Don't know if there is a solution, I didnt find a pleasing way. It's a shame that FC permits vertical placings just on crafted walls.
Thank you, glad some of our ideas provide inspiration! Interesting thought about the deco for existing buildings, not sure there is too much which can be done - especially without mods, but if we think of anything, maybe it's worth covering this topic.

Really happy to hear that. It's so easy to just see the items for what they are... but if you want to, you can get really creative, even without mods. Hopefully you'll have a good time, CE is still one of the best building games out there, and they added a ton of items over the years.

We've only done the cooking area so far (if you haven't watched that one yet). We might look into more crafting stations as well. Any favorites?

I’d love to see you do a series on all crafting stations and then maybe a grand finale of a decorated base using the designs from the series. I’ve been playing with the furnaces, trying to enclose them as tightly as possible…no luck yet

Thank you! Regarding the Watcher's Bed - hoping they release some beds in this format in future, as it's sizewise a really good middle-ground. Haven't tried building anything with the Nemedian Bed either as it was released after we made this video. Any other deco topic you would be interested in?
These were all really great. I think I might try the bed house for my character's sleeping area. The actual room is large, and the bed looks dwarfed in the room, despite it being the rather good sized Derketo bed. I also really liked the choices of trinkets and other décor. I notice a figurine in the elevated bed platform, on the shelf, that looked like miniature version of the giant king statues that are everywhere in the Exiled Lands map. What is the name of that piece?
Thank you, really great to hear that our ideas provided some inspiration for your build! Are you referring to the little figurine with the book in its hands? That would be the Statuette of the Priest King. It’s one of the 3 statuettes which you get from the first 3 bosses in the Warmaker's Sanctuary dungeon and which are required to progress further. If you don’t use them, you can use them as deco.
@@Pixelcave Ah, I see. I do no0t play on the Exiled Lands map. I will have to see what allowances can be made for items not available on the custom map (Savage Wilds) I play on. Thank you for your response.
Brilliant ideas more hours to sink into building my places
Could you possibly do crafting spaces please? I'm stuck for ideas about how to make mine look alive and personal to the thralls I have working in each. So far I have an OK blacksmith, a keep armorer, and a wizard's lab, but they tend to look just like the benches with a few themed items around them.
Thanks for the suggestion, that might be an interesting one. The challenge will be the sheer amount of workstations available in game and it would always depend on which ones are getting used, but as with everything - a lot of ideas might be interchangeable.
Nice suggestion ! Was thinking the same thing . I got an alchemy tower on top of a cliff but stuck on how to best decorate it so tips on that would be cool.

Also how i look at it , some workstations can be apart of the same category , like anything to do with metal work (armorer , blacksmith, smelter,casting table,tinker) can go in the same room.
Amazing vid like always ! What is the worst bed please ?
The Ornate Single Bed is quite tricky to place, needs distance to walls, has zero decoration on it, and if you place anything on it, the items tend to float in the air. The bed looks nice though, but it could be so much better. We had a bit trouble finding a good design for the Argossean bed as well, it's a weird size and the style/colors are hard to match - unless you go full out on Argossean/Aquilonian materials.

That's the one we used with the bunk bed (last build idea), it's included in the Jewel of the West DLC (the Aquilonian-themed one).

It just struck me as very impractical to have a bunkbed and put the actual bed to the wall where the stairs are...Especially given that most builds here have wine racks. How will I stumble safely into that?! ^^
I guess you would die from smoke inhalation before the place burns down... 😄 And true, one can never have too many wine racks close by, hehe!

I just started playing Conan so I’m new where do you get all the different pieces at I have age of war
Everything shown in this video were items you either unlock in the base game over time, as you level and get Knowledge Points you can spend - or by finding recipes/items in the world, or the various DLC Packs. How can we have the watcher's bed. Can't we buy it if we missed the drop twitch?
Unfortunately it was only available via Twitch Drops. Maybe they'll add ways to get it later on or repeat the drop, would be nice for those who missed out. In the meantime, I'm afraid the only way to get it would be to ask someone who has the bed from the drop to craft it for you and trade.
What is this building shortcut mod you referred to?
It's called 'Building Shortcut Bar' and adds up to 4 additional shortcut bars - very useful, wouldn't want to be without when working on builds.
How do you know the snap abilities (The way you placed the chessboards)?
To be honest, that's all trial and error. A lot of building and trying to combine and place things differently.

No worries, there is so much to discover. We still have these "I never knew we could do that" moments ourselves sometimes. 😄

That's the Watcher's Bed, it was available as a Twitch drop for a limited time only.

The main problem is that you can stuck in all this stuff when respawn
That might be a possibility, good point. However, these ideas are more aimed at role-play than 100% functionality. Haven't tested all of them, so can't confirm which set-up is working flawlessly.
