Seeing the speed and fluidity of Aquaman's super-swimming was REALLY exhilarating, perfect CG effects!
I didn't quite get what emotion she was trying to act out when she first appeared in this scene.
I think it was *indignation* over the fact Jason didn’t know her name (demonstrated by her eye roll when she says it to him)

it's probably cuz she didn't rehearse or plan her acting choices at all, a stuntman for this movie mentioned on Twitter that she basically ruined the movie because she was ridiculously lata, rude to everyone, only hung out in her trailer the whole time, and had to constantly be fed her next lines cuz she didn't have them memorized 🙄

Because he doesn't get it in the source material (comics) either. In DC, Aquakinesis is an ability that only highborn Xebelians (such as Mera) possess, and only through being taught. Atlanteans do not have it. It's like a well-guarded secret. Mera could teach him to use it, but otherwise he can't.
Still warms my heart that Arthur has both of his parents. Most DC superheroes aren't so fortunate.

And the fact the water had lots of debris. Usually, when things like this happens in movies or shows, its just like a big wave. Nothing in it.
Let's appreciate how Arthur can swim through a turmoil full of debris like it's just a strong windy day with leafs hitting him, quite a cool small feat.
