It just dawned on me, your video of the "Indian Lady eating her food with her hands", you commented there, that when years ago, you were working in India, a bunch of guys were eating and when they finished there was rice all over the place! lol..with Sticky Rice, Indians wouldn't have that problem, its just so NEAT and COOL to eat the sticky ricelike you show and tell us here. :)
My stomach is growing, it’s breakfast time here in Maryland (the states) I love short grain rice, it’s the texture I enjoy and those little ribs looked sooo good!!! Thanks Paul!!
Thank you. I've always wanted to know how to make sticky rice. I've watched videos and tried to one. Didn't come out at all. You and your wife made it differently then what I've seen. I will try again once I get the right rice. Oh and you made me hungry. Thanks. lol
It is easy to do, it is normally the first thing kids learn to cook around here, and it is the most important part of every meal so no pressure onthe kids...lol
Good morning Paul. I don't think we have sticky rice very often in the Philippines, but we do have rice with every meal over there. Have a great evening. Best wishes Bob.
Thanks for sharing! I love sticky rice, and it happens I use fork and knife on it. No problem at all. And I also use it for norwegian rice porrige, which is thick as a pudding. I got hungry by just watching. And it is as usual your fault! 555!
LOL....Paul, the finished product, those yummy Pork ribs and the sound of your mouth eating, has me drooling here at my p.c.! So to make this it is necessary to have the woven steamer, submerge the bottom into a pot with water, cover the top with a lid and let cook, then storing it in the rice basket. Now comes the pesky questions, lol...I wonder if sticky rice can be made in the Bamboo steamers(i've seen some in some stores here) and the rice basket, is it a special weave or something similar to the baskets(tlascals:used for storing tortillas)? Now for another pesky question, I've seen Jasmine Rice and Brown Rice from Thailand on sale, also Basmati Rice, in other videos people say that Sticky Rice is made with a very glutinous rice, like the kind they use for Sushi, and sushi rice is available at the Asian aisle in supermarkets here. Forgive this Pesky Mexican for so many questions Paul and say HI to the Boss for me! :)
lol, You can steam the rice in any steamer but you should line it with something like cheesecloth, have never done it so don't know how good it is, have seen pictures of people doing it. I don't think it is the same as Sushi rice, but it is similar (not 100% sure on that) I have often wondered what the local market vendors use for there sushi.
@@SouthpawDavey Got over 5000 hours for the year so no issue there, got to 999 subscribers 3 times before I finally made it, they come, they go, it was nuts.
@@catfishkitchen4203 Lol yeah dont watch the counter Dale got me through the 1000 with a shout out good man ;-) The politics got me another 1.5K but only 100 or so people watch. Oh well ;-)
@@SouthpawDavey It's sad so few people are watching, not sure what is going on, even this video, I got over 100 views on a facebook page as an unlisted video, put it live and it has done nothing, sad really. With something like this there is a chance it will get watched later, but a video that is more of an update, if subscribers don't watch, the video dies. Same with the fire videos on my workshop channel, they have never done anything.

lol, with a fork and knife, dare to be different. Whatever works, I might have to try it just to see what the wife has to say about it.

Got the 1000 and got approved in less than a week, finally. The ribs are really good, I cooked a mountain of them, lots of happy people.
@@catfishkitchen4203 I would have been very happy with a few ribs. Cool you got approved your older vids must be getting the view time.

And fresh like that, rice you can't buy anywhere.
