The only problem with the USL is the ticket prices, DCFC vs New Mexico playing at Keyworth shouldn't cost $28 a ticket to get into. Its a great league, but they are still in the mindset of milking the fans that exist currently of every dollar rather than getting more people through the door for an affordable price. Even the merchandise of the league is too expensive, yes it is a pro league but it shouldn't cost $100 to buy a jersey. If adidas kits are too expensive to sell then find another company to make the shirts.. god knows there is hundreds of them. The league is great but they are often there own worst enemy when it comes to expansion and growth.
The USL has really grown on me. The Championship has turned into my favorite league when it comes to watching soccer in the US. I’ve seen myself moving away from supporting the MLS. I’ve been turned off by some of the most recent decision making that the MLS has made. One good thing that the USL has done is making sure that much of their games are easily accessible to the public, whereas MLS’ deal with Apple puts the vast majority of their games behind a paywall. I might be biased towards the USL because my community in Southern California will be getting a team in League One next season (I actually purchased my season tickets for the 2025 season today). And while I would prefer the team to be in the Championship, I do believe it’s best to begin in League One when it comes to creating a new professional soccer team. That being said, I’m very optimistic about League One next season, because if things go as planned, League One will be getting 6 expansion teams. That means the league can become more competitive and the potential of seeing new rivalries being created.
I used to be a huge MLS fan also my friends would make fun of me for watching that league. But I agree with you the USL is way easier to watch and MLS seems like it has become all about business. I'm excited what this league will look like in 5 years as well as league one.
This year I saw the USL clubs take it to the MLS clubs in the USOC. A majority of the matches were close with like a couple clean sheets both ways and like 1 blowout.
I am just starting to support the USL. It seems like the MLS is a bully. I definitely prefer the USL. Go Riverhounds. I would love to see pro/rel but I highly doubt MLS would go for it. I can see it working better with USL.
I dont whatch the USL championship beacause i just personally like the mls better but i whatche USL league one beacause my local team the Richmond Kickers play in that league
There will NEVER be pro/rel involving MLS. The owners spent way too much money to buy a franchise, they'll never agree to a model that could put their status in the top division at risk.
There will be pro/rel, but within the USL. Look for the USL to create a USL Premier League sanctioned as Div 1 in the next 5 years and then pro/rel between USL Premier (D1), USL Championship (D2) and USL League One (D3).
Well if the usl do end up having pro/rel then the mls will either have to merge with them or they will definitely fade away once the average American audience sees the drama that pro/rel delivers they will definitely chose that over a closed league system well thats just my opinion anyway
@@Deletedkakajd don't underestimate MLS and US soccer. Look at what they did to Indy Eleven. Continuing to grow the supporter base is far more important than pro/rel.
@@zachsternart your right but pro/rel brings so much more than just being more entertaining for your audiences it will make your homegrown players who don't get a chance to play in Europe better to because the playing level will increase because teams won't get half way through a season realise their not gunna end up going to the mls Cup and just switch off and wait to try again next season if there's consequences to under performing they will play at their peak till the last game and that will benefit player development the u.s needs better grassroots programs to and maybe one day they could make a noise on the international stage just my thinking anyway
I totally agree with you about it feeling like you're following an underground artist before they make it big. Keep up the great work!
Thank you ! Will do !

LouCity Fan From England. I Love The USL Championship Its Such A Great League.
Also more games have been put on tv for USL. Even had a couple double headers with Championship & League One.
Love the content
Thank you !
Btw you see the updates to the stadium deals for New Mexico United and the planned club in Des Moines?
Can we get a USL SUPERLEAGUE and USL1 videos?
I wanted to focus more on the championship but I know there are other channels who focus on league one
Detroit City FC!
Feel once pro/rel comes to the usl it’ll give it a leg up on mls
agree but it may never come.

I'll never be happy with the refering in pittsburgh vs cincinatti last year. Both there goals apart from that worldie from Barreal were offsides
